A ski accident and some weightlifting injuries have left me with some pretty frustrating nagging injuries in my thoracic spine and sacrum/lumbar area. I'm left with some deep tissue tightness that comes and goes and can be very uncomfortable and annoying. My previous mattress was a very outdated pillow top. No matter what position I tried I would develop very uncomfortable pressure points because of the inconsistent support, and the pain would become extremely magnified in these areas. The Purple mattress has not eliminated my issues--the tightness I'm experiencing in the deep muscle tissues in my back is something I need to address with a professional--but it is literally the only place I can lie for extended periods and experience true pressure-free relief. The mattress feels firm and very supportive of my entire body while at the same time quite soft and extremely comfortable. I am very satisfied with the mattress and would certainly recommend to family and friends!

I am a nurse that works 12 hour shifts and Have had many mattresses but none like the purple. It is amazing! Never knew what a difference a mattress could make. Slept so sound and woke up feeling so rested! It really is the best ever. Love the comfort and the look is nice.

We have now joined the purple family. The first night I slept on the mattress all my muscle pain disappeared. It seems to be a big adjustment from my old mattress to the purple, But I'm getting there. I can't believe a mattress could make this much difference in the way I feel. So my story starts with getting a full mattress and getting a wonderful deal on it, like I got a pillow and sheets and pillow cases to go with it! I ended up being too tall for my mattress so I had to get a bigger size, a queen. But during Covid-19 I couldn't find a place to take my full as a donation, so Purple allowed me to donate it to my best friend who hadn't changed mattress in over 9 years. Now we both recommend this mattress over any other! Super comfy, cool at night. I'm a heavier guy and I've never had a better nights sleep on any other mattress.15/10 would recommend.

Great night sleep every night. Although we also bought th sheets and have had them less than a week and it shows a great deal of piling. We thought one of the advantages of them would be no piling. Otherwise they are comfortable, that part was just disappointing

We bought the Purple King Mattress with the normal (nonadjustable base). It did take about 8 weeks to arrive. The mattress is comfortable for my husband. My husband had chronic neck and shoulder pain, which has improved. I'm very petite (~45 kg) and the mattress is most comfortable for me on my back. If I try to lay on my side, I get numbness down my dependent shoulder and arm- I suspect that is because I don't weigh enough and the mattress is too firm. I usually like firm mattresses, but I think the special part of the purple mattress requires a heavier weight to become less firm and more comfortable.

A large 200 pound tube that arrived on m porch had me initially confused. "Surely they can't roll up a mattress with springs in it to the size of this package", I said to myself. Momentarily having the negative feeling of being delivered the wrong version. But I was wrong & had nothing to worry about. They actually do vacuum ship Hybrid Premier 3 with springs like their cheaper counterparts. This has got to be a industry first packaging/shipping protocol. Color me impressed. Now I just gotta figure out how to reverse engineer it, to get my existing mattress out of the way. I wish right? I proceed to open tube to unfurl mattress, gave it a couple days before sleeping on it as recommended to expand. By night 2, I was purposely forcing myself to give it one more night to expand, thus making it that much better when it's ready, even if that was only in my mind. It was worth it, big time. Night 1, I lay down on what feels like nothing else I have ever slept on before. My body knew straight away. A tingling and all encompassing feeling consumed my body. My spine and muscles instantly relaxed into what can only be described as "euphoric realignment". Then, for the next few minutes as I drifted to sleep, my body felt like it was releasing years of poor sleep pain and discomfort. It was almost a shock to the system unlike any feeling I've ever had before. I am a pretty large guy at 6'2" & 280 pounds. This mattress truly supported me like no other. Over the next few nights, my body slowly got used to the mattress and this unreal lightness you feel as you sink into the purple grid while simultaneously feeling supportive. After a few nights, my sciatica got noticably better right off the bat and I look forward to crawling into bed every night now. The mattress itself has become truly Life changing. Period. A tool to improve sleep habits. Hands down, this has become the best consumer experience of my life. Start to finish Purple delivers on all counts. I also purchased the Purple frame. A mattress protector & basic plush pillow came free with purchase of mattress. The Purple frame, which is extremely solid and supports mattress the better than any other I've seen before. Total surface area support. No chance to sag. Solid. Adds to the feeling of feeling truly "supported". The Purple mattress protector was more a thin fitted sheet than a traditional Mattress protector. The packaging explained that this was purposeful in order to have nothing but a thin layer between you and your mattress. I get the intent, but not the norm nonetheless. The plush pillow was nothing special and is the bottom basic pillow type. No innovation here. Finally, The sleep masks that came with the mattress were silly. Too small, thin and uncomfortable to use in real life. More of a marketing swag item than anything. But all that was free, so I can't really complain. Bottom line, life changing. So far so good. The mattress has helped with a lot of back issues both and my husband have. We were both surprised of how heavy the rolled mattress was. Thank goodness our nephew was able to heft it up a flight of stairs. I have one recommendation...place the cutter in a more visible area. We had to cut it open using a knife and the found the cutter inside.. we also purchased a seat cushion which wasn't as helpful. After using it, something about the shape and size caused an imbalance, aggravating the sciatic nerve. We had to stop using it. Everything else is ok. Thank you.....

I ordered my first queen mattress in early 2016, and after six months I had serious trenches where my wife and I sleep. I weigh in at 170lbs, my wife at 120lbs. I'm an electrician, and my wife is a member of the US Army. safe to say both our careers are physically demanding, and we need the best sleep possible. I sent photos with weights in place of where we sleep and there was a clear three inch height difference from our sleeping spots and the center of the bed between us. It was replaced under warranty, and we got a new mattress. Unfortunately it began to have the same problems as the first. I replaced the box spring underneath with a proper tempurpedic platform, but no change. I had that mattress replaced less than a month ago, and already find myself rolling up hill to reach my wife or get out of bed. I am forced to sleep on my back instead of my side to save my shoulder from further stress. Unfortunately on my back, I snore too loud that my wife cant sleep. She's a stomach sleeper and says she wakes up with her lower back aching. Unfortunately with the money we have invested in the purchase of the original mattress, we are afraid to buy anything new, and are stuck cycling the mattresses out once the sagging becomes too much. Our plan is to save our income tax refund for a new mattress from another manufacturer. One that is much firmer in order to deter future sagging. I refuse to buy into any more bed-in-a-box companies, I mean no disrespect to the company but this bed is not for me. What is worse, is that that I get better sleep on a concrete floor during my lunch break at work.

I really wanted to love this mattress. My husband and I saw an ad for Purple in a magazine and I ordered it the very next day. When it arrived, we couldn't wait to get it on the bed. After the first night, I woke up with an extremely sore back and my husband noted his arms fell asleep and were tingling all night from not being able to sink into the mattress at all. I gave it a try for 10+ more nights and same thing. I dreaded going to sleep and wanted the mattress gone. I gave it 3 stars because their customer service was good. They were very responsive on the online chat as well as by email and promptly scheduled a pick up for the mattress and communicated about a refund. Overall, I really wish this product worked out for me but at least I was able to get my money back and try it out.
