Our old mattress was too soft, causing back pain. The guest room mattress was too hard, causing shoulder pain. The Purple gives me just the right amount of back support and shoulder cushion. I sleep better than I have in years and after one month, my pain is virtually gone!

This mattress is everything. My husband is a stomach sleeper and I'm a back sleeper, so trying to find something that would work for both of us was the biggest challenge. After researching for months, I found the purple mattress and we both absolutely love this mattress the same amount. It couldn't be more perfect. It's so nice to be able to get in bed and truly be able to relax and know that you'll be waking up without any aches or pains.

Love this bed! Buying a mattress without first trying it out is a gamble but this one paid off. The customer service was great and the process from purchasing to delivery was smooth. The king mattress is very heavy so you need two people but once in place it unboxed easily.

I have not had back or hip pain since I unrolled my Purple mattress a year ago. Nothing I have ever slept has had such a perfect balance of support and comfort, all without pressure points or heat buildup. This is saying something. I am 68, owned seven furniture stores in my life. I sold all the major brands in the larger stores, and futons, waterbeds, and tube flotation beds in specialty and boutique stores . I've even worked with large manufacturers designing mattresses that we hoped would accomplish what my Purple mattress does. My thanks to the team at Purple for so greatly improving the quality of my life.

I think it is too hard for my liking. I've had it for several weeks. I usually wake up a few times during the night which I didn't use to do that. I wake up in the morning with a sore back and hip. I will probably put a memory foam pad on top of this mattress to see if that helps. This mattress is very comfortable laying on while I'm watching TV. Maybe if I was a back sleeper it would be better.

The topic of mattresses became a very sore subject (pun intended) in my household. We went through 4 mattresses before ordering the Purple mattress (sleep number, a pillow top, a memory gel/foam, and Loom and Leaf gel/foam). None worked, primarily for me. I am in my mid-thirties and am an active person; every morning I felt like I was in my nineties, my back would ache and I would need to do 30 minutes of stretching before being able to move. I was seeing a chiropractor at least once a week for back pain and started thinking that maybe the pain was just always going to be there no matter what I tried. Finally I decided to give Purple a try. First night and every night since I wake up feeling rested with no pain. I sleep great and my bed no longer looks like a bomb blew up in it every morning from my tossing and turning. Furthermore, my husband who didn't have any issues with the previous mattresses, or so he thought, realized after sleeping on the Purple mattress that he hadn't been sleeping well. On all the previous mattresses he was waking up often and he now sleeps through the night. If you are having the same issues, don't hesitate to purchase this mattress. My only regret was not buying it sooner.

After 3 or 4 days of sleeping on Purple, my back pain is gone. Due to some medical issues, I have chronic hip, knee and lower back pain. However, after sleeping on purple for less than a week, I no longer wake up in pain. I recommend this mattress to anyone who wakes up with aches and pains in the morning.

We have had the purple mattress for approximately 30 days as part of the 100 day trial period. The first week was touch and go. We are beginning to like the mattress more and more with each passing night. My wife and I have back, neck and hip problems. The purple mattress seems to be helping.with those. As part of the 100 day trial, we also received a free purple pillow. My wife absolutely loves the pillow. She says she will never sleep on another pillow unless it's a purple pillow.

The mattress is wonderful, however, when added to the frame we hate it. It feels like we are sleeping on a concrete slab. When we had the mattress on a box spring, it was great. Then our frame came in, we were excited, put it together and went to bed. The next morning we woke up and felt really sore, achy and felt like ditching the thing. So my husband said let's use the waffle foam from the 2 other beds. So we put that between the frame and the mattress and now the mattress is tolerable. My husband doesn't wake up with a backache, or body aches. He says the Purple is okay. I have monitored my body over the past few weeks, and I am not waking up sore, achy, no pressure points. I would rate it a 4.

I kept the mattress (Original Queen) for just over two months, hoping that it would get to be more comfortable. It did not. I tossed and turned every night on it; some mornings I woke up really sore and stiff. I am a side sleeper and felt no support for my pressure points and the motion transfer was non-existent (I could feel a 10 lb cat walking on the other side of my bed). When I contacted customer service to explain I might be returning it, I stated that the new purple 3 or 4 mattresses were too expensive for me. The rep told me that they have a "great exchange program" for anyone still within the trial period, I would just need to go visit a showroom. The way it was worded, it made me think they offer a deal for the more expensive mattress - other people I shared the email with thought that as well. So I went for an hour drive to Alpine to check it out. Turns out there is no "great exchange program." I would just have to pay for the more expensive mattress and they would coordinate the pick up/drop off. I felt it was really misleading since I had clearly stated I was not going to spend $2000+ on a mattress when I have already tried one from their company. When I shared this poor experience with customer service, I got a response that pretty much made it sound like the rep just wanted me to go there, I'd see the new purple mattress, and would decide to spend more money regardless of the price. Also, heads up about the 100 night sleep guarantee - you have to have your return process completed before the 100 nights are up. Per the return form: "In order to get your refund, this return must to be completed and a donation receipt emailed to us by the end of your 100 night trial." So don't think you can actually try out the mattress for 100 nights - if you do, and do not like it, you won't be able to return it.
