I have to say after reading reviews I thought the bed would be a top softer. Don't get me wrong.. its soft, but I like my bed plush. I have noticed I haven't been as achy in the mornings and I have been sleeping better. I would say all in all its a great investment.

We've slept so well ever since we got our purple mattress. The mattress was too thin for our bed frame so we initally decided to return it. However, after trying another memory foam mattress, we knew we had to get our purple mattress back. We cancelled our return, bought a 4" box frame, and now we sleep like babies. Thanks Purple for being an awesome company and making awesome products! We also love your seat cushion and bed sheets!

We weren't sure about buying without having ever laid on one but with the 100 days money back we figured we'd try. The mattress came in the mail all rolled up with super easy to follow instructions on how to get it in place. My husband liked it from day 1. my body liked it but it is more firm than I was used to so it took me about a week to love it 100%. It's comfortable and supportive. We got the mattress protector which is awesome because we just throw it in the wash. We are totally happy with it.

I've been sleeping on the mattress for about two weeks now, and I have to say that this is the best mattress that I have owned thus far. I have suffered from shoulder, neck, and back pain for years, but now I wake up in a little less pain everyday. Great choice. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to get my new mattress, but unfortunately for me and my boyfriend, this has not been the answer to our aches and pains. I'm 130lbs, hes 140lbs and we are both side sleepers. We got the original purple mattress and although this bed feels both soft and firm at the same time when you sit on it and I wanted so bad for this mattress to be the best mattress I've ever owned, it feels like I'm sinking right through the grid part and I'm just laying on top of a hard piece of foam so it ends up feeling too firm. I'm sure the more expensive purple mattresses would be a better fit, but that's nothing I can afford! I already bought another mattress online and plan on returning the one we have once we get to our 21 day mark. Sorry, purple!

This mattress is OK when it comes to comfort but definitely not worth the price. You could get something comparable for much less. You will need to get a topper because you can feel the grid (which is not all that great). The topper, we bought, could have been put on a cheap mattress and got the same comfort level/feeling. The bed was a little too firm and I didn't get the impression I was sleeping on a high end mattress. Overall I wouldn't recommend this mattress and it should be at least half the cost. Save your money and get a cheaper mattress and purchase a mattress topper. The whole purple grid was pretty lackluster in my honest opinion with or without a mattress topper. The packaging was great and super easy to unwrap.

The Purple mattress is the best bed I have ever had. I did a lot of reading and seeking out reviews before I purchased it. I compared it to the other mail order mattresses on the market as well as those available in average stores. I loved the concept of the no pressure since I had been experiencing back pain for a few years. Feeling confident after months of research I ordered one. I was so excited to try it and within just a few days I realized that I hadn't complained about my back...hadn't even thought about it. I took note but let some more time go by before I came to any conclusions. After a month of a significantly improved back I am comfortable saying that the back pain I attributed to physiology turned out to be caused by terrible mattress comfort. The Purple mattress is not only super comfortable but it actually fixed my back problems which has made my life better overall. I'm very glad I gave them a shot!

I don't know what was updated about the original mattress other than the cover and the edge support, but I have soft mattress problems now. I have a full-sized ORIGINAL original purple at home and I absolutely love it. Firm where you need it to be firm, soft where you want it to be soft, and I wake up feeling more rested than ever. Honestly one of the best investments I ever made. I recently moved into another apartment and bought one about a month ago to take with me, and it's comfy, yeah, but now my partner and I are having issues. We're sinking into the mattress, and although it still easily bounces back when you get up, the problem is when we're actually lying down. I'm actually FALLING against him as we sleep and rest in it, so not only does it make cuddling a chore, but since we're both side sleepers, we both wake up with back, shoulder, and neck pain because of it. It also doesn't isolate movement properly anymore and that is incredibly disappointing. We both get up frequently in the middle of the night, and now we just end up waking each other up. Strongly considering returning it and just moving the one I have at my previous home since the old original is no longer available... kinda sucks though because I won't have a bed to sleep in when I visit family. Never thought I'd have to leave a bad review for this mattress, but it's not what's advertised anymore. :(

Got the King Size Purple Mattress. Wonderful bed--I'm sleeping better, almost to the point where it's actually hard to get out of bed now. That's a good thing because I'm getting the quality sleep I need, but just now need a little more effort getting out of a comfortable bed!

I was excited to try out the purple mattress. THE SHIPMENT was fast! I had the mattress (from the States to Canada) within 3 days! THE PACKAGING is nice even if it is a little wasteful as I don't know what use you would have for that giant purple heavy-plastic bag it comes in (compared to traditional cardboard boxes). THE SET-UP took the normal amount of 5-10 minutes (faster, if you are helped). THE MATTRESS feels nice and soft. It is definitely unique (compared to memory foam and hybrid mattress) but not in a bad way, just different technology. Does give off a bit of smell but that passes after a couple hours/days. Unfortunately, YOU NEED A BOX SPRING or something underneath that isn't slats as the mattress is so soft and thin that otherwise, you will feel the slats and metal frame underneath you as you move around. I could only put up with this for two nights and then called Purple to returned it. THE RETURN process wasn't smooth. I went to the website to start the return and it suggested I email them. I did. I got a confirmation but no actual reply. Called in and they couldn't find my order number for the longest time. The customer service representative eventually sent me a form to fill out to initiate the return, this didn't result in much for a few days. I called back as the MATTRESS HAS NO STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY so once the mattress isn't flat on a bed it is like a wet noodle, impossible to stand on its sides and takes up so much of your space. This is only an issue if you're returning the mattress and have no date for pick up. If you keep it (assuming you have a box spring or flat surface to put the mattress on) you should be fine. Just my experience wasn't ideal.
