To be honest I expected to be sleeping more comfortably then I am. Yes my lower back pain has lessened, but I still have terrible joint pain in my hips. I have tried sleeping on my back, sides, and stomach, and still no relief. I think the grid design is a good concept in theory, but Purple has missed on the execution. I would suggest a smaller more tightly positioned grid to allow more support. Sorry to say, Purple has left me wanting better.

I enjoy the customer service at Purple, the marketing is Genius but so far my wife and I have spent 20 plus nights with shoulder pain. We are both lighter weight people and side sleepers and this Mattress doesn't seem good for side sleepers. We ordered during the COVID-19 crisis, what I think we need is a purple 3 but we cant afford it. I suppose we will probably send it back and go with another company assuming they won't move on price.

The mattress is very comfortable but it will take a few nights for you to adjust to sleeping on it comfortably. I woke up the first few weeks sleeping on it with soreness in my back, my sides, and sometimes my arms and shoulders. However over time it got more comfortable and I slept better and was actually energized when waking up. You will sink in this bed because it will mold to your bodies pressure points. So be prepared to struggle in crawling on the bed for the first few days.

I am starting to process the return. I am a very hot sleeper and thought that this would help, but I truly haven't been so hot on a mattress in one spot. I started sleeping well, but the last two weeks I've woken up too hot in the middle of the night and slept on the couch..

We have been fans of Tempurpedic for decades and reluctantly gave up that bed for The Purple as we are in need of a bed without any pressure points. WOW What a find! The Purple Bed is the best bed we have ever owned. It is so comfortable and has relieved hip and back issues that we just thought were forever ours.

Recently purchased our second purple mattress and it has been amazing. Went from a queen hybrid to a king in the original. There was a slight difference in thickness but ultimately didn't have a rough time adjusting to the new mattress. 6 Out of 7 days I wake up to little or zero back pains! I highly recommend Purple to anyone and everyone!

I was extremely excited about this mattress. Read lots of good reviews and ordered it. I love the top layer! It breathes well and has that bounce that most foam mattresses don't. HOWEVER, I will more than likely return it because of lack of support. It needs maybe an additional 2-3 inches of support foam. When you sit on it you bottom out right away and your butt gets sore right away because you feel like you are essentially sitting on a board. Gives it a cheap gimmicky feel. The only comfort is when you are lying down on it sleeping. Its not versatile for anything else. I like to sit up and watch tv in bed and you cant with this mattress. I saw a video review online about it and the guy said he runs a mattress store and would not be able to sell it based on that fact when you sit on it you hit the bottom immediately and thats a huge turn off. An extra 2 inches would probably do the trick. Just too bad because I really wanted to love this mattress and the idea is there and the technology is there, I just feel the company is still new and in the experimental stage and hasnt yet perfected the mattress. We had been using an old memory foam mattress for a while and it eventually became very uncomfortable to sleep on. We got rid of it prior to a move and once we got to our new place, made the leap to purple. We NEVER slept better! While this is our second purple mattress due to our bed dipping, we were happy to jump on the warranty option. The turn around on the warranty was amazing and it was the easiest thing I ever did. And our first night on the bed was INCREDIBLE. This time around, we plan on rotating the mattress every 3-6 months to ensure it lasts. Hopefully it was just a defective mattress as I was told.

After giving birth to 8 awesome kids over 16 years and then turning 40 my hips hurt a lot when I sleep. Purple is perfect for us. It helps my husband's back and neck. My hips don't ache. I also sleep really warm, and the mattress doesn't seem to retain heat, which I love. Also, my husband rolls a lot is his sleep. I can't tell anymore, because the motion doesn't transfer. I'm sold!
