I have had the bed for a little over a month now. It's quite an interesting sensation laying on it. I have lower back pain now, when I did not before I got the bed. I'm not sure if it's just my body adjusting to the bed or not. The pain did not come on right away, but slowly increased. I am going to keep trying the bed to see if maybe my body was just really out of whack before this bed, but if I'm still feeling lower back pain by the end of the 100 days, I will have to return it.

I replaced my old Sleep Number bed with a Hybrid Premier 4 mattress about 10 days ago. Maybe I could have gotten by with a 3, but hey didn't have a 3 at the store I visited and some reviews said it was a little firmer than the 4. I weigh 210 pounds and I didn't want to "hit bottom" as some have reported with the thinner versions. Anyway, I give it an A, except that the price is a little high. I think the advertising claim that it's soft where it needs to be and firm where it needs to be is more or less accurate. It's neither too firm nor too soft for me. I actually thought my Sleep Number bed was pretty good, but this seems better. I do hope that with its unique construction, it doesn't break down or collapse (one reviewer had that problem). The package I bought included a Purple pillow. That took a little getting used to, but I like it now, except that I have ordered a set of "boosters" for it.

I got the new Purple Mattress through telephone and asked specifically if they would do an in home setup with current mattress removal and I was told yes. One of the delivery features for the New Purple Mattress is an in home setup with mattress removal. I found out after the mattress was shipped through FedEx that wasn't the case because my mattress weighs under 150lbs. If you're going to advertise "White glove delivery" you should be more honest with your customers.

Very happy with every aspect of our Purple experience! We took a leap of faith buying a mattress without having tried it out first but are happy to say that it is everything it claimed to be. The sheets are also great! Thank you for such an amazing product! Keep up the good work!

My husband and I LOVE this mattress. A little background info on us. My husband is a Marine who has always worked with his hands and on his feet. He has fallen off of aircraft injuring his shoulder and practices.competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I am a critical care nurse working in a very high acuity unit in Nashville (I am on my feet most of my 12 hour shifts). The mattress/boxspring we had been sleeping on was bought my junior year of HIGH SCHOOL! That was 12 years ago! We both would wake in the morning with back pain. Sometimes just turning over in bed would wake me up because my back was just so uncomfortable in our old bed. For years we have been discussing getting a new bed, but the time was never right. Money was never right. And then a few months ago we heard about the Purple mattress. A friend of ours bought one and loved it. The price was great, it had raving reviews--we took some time to think about it and thought what the heck, we should just do it. Within a few days we noticed a difference! No more back pain, we were more rested- it was amazing. We have had this bed just over a month now and we have no complaints. We upgraded and purchased a king (we had a queen before, the base, the sheets and protector, and the pillows. The sheets are so soft and comfortable, the pillow only makes the bed that much more amazing... I would scream my recommendation for this mattress from the mountain tops if I could. My seven year old even loves it and wants to know when he will get one! Thank you Purple for creating this little piece of heaven. You have changed the way we sleep forever!

Ok, I wanted to wait until after my first couple of months before I posted this review. I wasn't sure that I would like it, but my old mattress had become unbearable for my back and I needed to get a new one. I chose to try the Purple for a lot of different reasons, the return policy, the price, the very convincing marketing, and I hate to admit it but the thing that tipped me to buy was that these are designed and manufactured in Utah, where I am from (holla). And.. For the first few nights, I wasn't sure. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't like the most amazing thing ever. It is a different feeling for a mattress. Until I hit night 4. And then, it was AMAZING. Since then I have slept comfortably every night, and my back and neck pain have dramatically reduced. I think I might try the Purple pillow next! I am so so glad that I decided to take the plunge and order the mattress. Everything they advertise is showing up to be true. It sleeps cool, it cradles all of my pressure points (I have never had a mattress in my entire life before that didn't make my hips sore, not until Purple), it aligns my back. Everyone in my family is super jealous! So if you are on the brink wondering if you should buy it or not, scrolling through all of the reviews for weeks like I was, I would encourage you to do it. I really liked the idea of this mattress and I read about a thousand reviews before buying, but the thing that really sold me was the fact that both my wife and I love it and we have very different sleeping preferences. We had two twin beds side by side before this because we could not agree on a single mattress. Hers was very soft with a large pillow top, mine was firm with little cushion. She feels like the purple mattress is very soft and I feel like it is firm with lots of support. It's the same mattress! It just fits our sleeping styles perfectly even though they are totally different. Well done Purple!!

I love this bed. My favorite part is when I fall/jump onto it, it cushions me perfectly so it doesn't hurt. The bed cushions hips/shoulders/etc so well and we wake up in no pain :) I will say, the bed feels firmer for lighter people (such as me) than it does for heavier people (such as my husband). I tend to like more cushion, but this bed is firmer for me due to my weight and the one size fits most aspect of this mattress. That being said, it is still wonderfully comfortable for me :)

I love my purple mattress! It is so comfortable and when I fall asleep I stay asleep. No more rolling around because of aches and pains. I'm a new mom and even though my son wakes me up through the night, I still wake up rested because of my purple mattress.

I'm a side and back sleeper, actually I just move around a lot in my sleep and I have a lot of lower back pain. I realized my previous mattress was going on 15 plus years and it was time to replace it. I was really excited to try purple, especially since most of the reviews I read were really positive. Thus far I won't say I'm disappointed but I'm not super wowed either. It's a good value for the price and it's more comfortable than my previous mattress but it wasn't the miraculous experience that some people touted in their reviews. I do like that it doesn't transfer motion if your sleep partner tosses and turns. A few things I don't enjoy -its warmer than a traditional mattress. I'm sure I'll appreciate that come winter but right now it's just a tad warmer than I like. -I wish it were thicker. Sitting on the side of the bed to put shoes on or to getting dressed it really compresses. -the platform frame is great for storage and I actually love the recessed legs, haven't stubbed my toe yet, but it is noisy. Much more noisy than my old box spring. It's definitely not squeek free as advertised. -after getting the sheets in the mail (this shipping took the longest....weeks) I was not impressed. Jersey knit sheets at this price....way overpriced.
