The mattress actually made my injury worse from how it feels. I'm waiting to get my third set of mri's on my back to see if the damage to my back actually increased. My daughter doesn't like it and my significant other doesn't like to sleep over with how uncomfortable it is.

Needed to replace my pillow-top mattress recently and found Purple in my search for something better. With 100-days no pressure to decide, I had to try Purple for myself...I LOVE my Purple mattress!!! Best mattress ever. I go to sleep and stay asleep, waking in the same position with no aches or pains. And it was so easy to set up.

It was easy to unpack and install. Mattress is very comfy. I love that it circulates air beneath you better than other mattresses I've tried so you don't get as sweaty. The company should work to reduce their waste though: they shop these weird mini mattresses about the size of your hand with it, and I wish I could return the huge plastic duffel style bag it ships in. These items are now cluttering our home as I haven't found a way to recycle or repurpose them yet to keep them out of the landfill.

So my wife and I had been sleeping poorly for about year, maybe longer. My wife was getting neck pain during the day and tossing and turning at night. I was also not sleeping well, either. Our previous mattress was about 8 years old. It was an inner spring mattress. My wife thinks that her pregnancy may have killed it. And for the past couple of years, we haven't been sleeping great as new parents. But we realized that even when our child was sleeping well, we were not. Then the Purple mattress arrived and.... we slept. That's it. Pretty much from the first night and ever since it arrived, we've slept. We're comfortable and refreshed. And my wife's neck pain has stopped. It is a little cooler (temperature) than our previous mattress, which is pretty great. But it warms up during the night, too. My always-cold wife took a little longer to get warmed up in the winter, but a) it's worth it to her and she's comfortable throughout the night once she warms up; and b) It will be even better in the summer when it's warmer in the house. All in all, we are very happy. That said, we did not test out other mattresses. We bought it sight-unseen based on reviews. The real test will be if it is STILL this comfortable in 5-8 years. Only time will tell. But right now, we are very happy with our purchase.

It's pretty difficult to get my boyfriend out of bed in the mornings, but now it's even harder because our mattress is sooo comfortable. We never wake up sweaty in the middle of the night anymore, no back pain. It really is a great mattress. & Now my boyfriend wants Purple pillows to match! Highly recommend!

I've had back pain for years. I don't sleep in one position all night so it was hard to find a mattress that would feel ok in ALL positions. Well, let me tell you....I FOUND IT! No more pain points no matter what position I lay in. Incredibly pleased with this and will never use another brand.

I never heard of the purple bed until my nephew happened to rave about it. Since I had a lot of pain and discomfort in my bed. I took a chance and ordered it. From day one I have been so comfortable and I have no pain anywhere. I am able to sleep in any position without getting trigger points. I know my sleep is much deeper . I love the fact that the mattress isn't so fat that it's almost impossible to get sheets over the corners My lil English cocker spaniel loves the bed as well. And ironically she gets up in the morning the stiffness I could see before. It's just a great bed and I feel so well as a result of great sleep

I will preface this with I donated my mattress to charity, after determining it was for me. But, I think this bed will work for a lot of people so I'd like to share my likes and dislikes. Hopefully this helps your decision! Ordering the bed was easy. I actually jumped on the chat service to discuss which bed would be best for me. The customer service agent was nice and helpful. I ordered the Purple 2.0 with the free option of Purple bed sheets. Shipping was easy and no issues there. However, the bed came before the sheets. Which was a little annoying as the sheets I did have didn't really fit well on it. So, I kinda hope they fix that. Otherwise this process was good. Sleeping on the bed. So, I love the feel of this bed. It's very unique. Many people refer to the feel like sleeping on a gel pad. I would agree. The bed is a bit softer than expected and kinda bouncy. I tried this bed for about 3-35 days before decided to begin the return option. I'm just under 6 feet and about 280 pounds. On my back, I'm not sure another bed could beat the comfort level. However, I'm not a fan of sleeping on my back. So while it felt good, it's not my desired position. On my side, it felt good, but I felt that my hips sunk in too far and it made my shoulder and neck a little out of alignment so I would wake up with a sore upper body. I primarily fall asleep and spend a good portion of time on my side. I've had back issues in the past and as a result I sleep on my stomach a lot. This mattress was just too soft for stomach sleeping. My back bent more than what I experienced on my 6 year old cheap memory foam bed. Because of the stomach sleeping issue, that's what made me decide to return it. I would say though. A more moderately sized individual would probably really enjoy sleeping on this. I just think I'm too big for it's support level. And the Purple 2.0 is the firmest model they have. The 4.0 is considered the softest. I'd also mention that at times I felt like I was ending up in the middle of the mattress. Almost like through the night I would "roll" to the middle. Returning the mattress. This was a very easy process. The customer service agent was very friendly and helped with all my questions. Purple gives about 3-5 options for return. Have someone they choose pick it up for recycle, donate it to charity, extend your trial to see if you change your mind and another one that slips my mind right now. I chose donating it to charity. A great option. I'm glad they allow that rather than sending it to be recycled or dumped at a landfill. All I needed to do was fill out a form stating my choice of return, contact a charity, then provide a picture back to Purple of a receipt from that charity proving it had been donated. Within a few days of providing the receipt I was refunded in full! Lastly, I would like to say, this is a unique bed that may work for a lot of people. If you are willing to take a chance I would recommend trying it for sure. With a 100 percent refund guarantee, why not try it. You may love it! And I suspect a lot of people do. I tip my cap to Purple for their desire to innovate and create something new. I will continue to follow them and if I see changes to the firmness I will likely try it out in the future. This thing is incredible. I wont lie its a little funky to get used to the first couple days because it is in fact different than a normal mattress but that is literally the whole point. After having it for a while now I can never go back to anything else. I was dealing with some back pain from bicycling and racing and no kidding within weeks of having this thing all of that was gone. Well done purple, well done.

The experience of buying this bed was very easy. It was delivered quickly, and I was able to assemble it by myself. I work on my feet, and much of my back pain has disappeared. I alternate between sleeping on my side and my stomach. I used to wake up a million times a night, tossing and turning. Not anymore. It's not as comfortable for side sleeping as I had hoped, but overall, it's a huge improvement from the mattress I had before.
