The mattress is quite different. It takes me about 10 minutes to get comfortable but after that I am fine. I have been able to sleep on my sides longer than I did on my old bed. I find that I am colder in this bed so I had to put a fleece blanket under my mattress pad up to my knees. I haven't decided yet whether to get another one or not.

My wife, while pregnant with our 6th child, started sleeping on our sofa because she just couldn't sleep on our bed. She slept on the couch for about 2 months while I continued to slumber in our bed. This couldn't go on! We missed sleeping with each other as well as marital activities! We needed a new bed. We tried the Purple bed! For the first time ever, my wife is able to sleep well while she is pregnant! I even find myself unable to stay awake much once we get in bed longer than a few minutes. We are both finally getting the sleep we need and catching up on some much needed "us time".

My advice is to retrain your body to lay straight, instead of shifting your hips or shoulders to settle into a traditional bed. Doing this, and you'll find that it's excellent at cradling your body. Give it a few days to get used to, it's a very different experience. It also does not get too hot, and so we actually have added more blankets, where we used to use less.

I've only had the mattress a few weeks but have liked it so far. It sleeps very cool. That's my favorite part. It is a little firm on my shoulders but this was expected. Perfect pressure on my hips. My wife likes it, too, but she could sleep on rocks so not sure if that helps.

My wife loved the mattress on the first night, however it did take me a few weeks to get used to it. I think my body is out of alignment which made it uncomfortable for me, but I finally got used to it. It also came with a pillow, I love the coolness of it, but it's too thin for me to sleep on. My only complaint is it really feels like every other mattress out there, I don't feel a huge difference. It's better than form mattress for sure, with Purple I don't wake up in the middle of night because I'm too hot.

I've spent lots of money on multiple mattresses. This is by far the best sleep I've ever had. I have hip pain due to a bladder issue/implant. I can't tell you the last time I'd slept through the night before converting to the purple mattress. I went all in. I got the sheets, sleep masks, weighted blanket, and pillows! Best money I've spent in a long time. I recommend it to everyone who asks. Everyone who has come over and laid down says the same thing. This mattress is incredible.

I had been having trouble with my sleep for years since I had been sleeping on a twin mattress which was the equivalent of a brick.To alleviate my back/neck pain and sleeping issues I tried various things to make it softer (foam topper, feather topper, and combining both) I finally gave up. I went online to try to find a reasonably priced mattress. I did a bunch of research and scrolled through review after review and finally decided to try Purple. The financing option was amazing and allowed me to be able to not only get the mattress but the frame and sheets as well. The mattress tube can be cumbersome for one person... which is why they say it is a 2 person lift ^_^ I decided to wait to lay on it until after I had made the bed.... and OMG it is the most comfortable bed I have ever had the pleasure of laying on!!!! I have tried Sleep Number, which didnt do well. I tried the Tempurpedic ... that was worse since the box spring broke in a week and when put on a frame similar to Purple's you got to feel every bar below you (And that isn't even mentioning waking up sweating). This bed cradles you just enough and keeps you from getting overheated in your sleep. I no longer toss and turn at night trying to get comfortable or wake up with numb hands/arms. Now if only Purple made dog beds, then I could keep my dog off of mine and have it all to myself (he refuses to sleep on the old twin brick).

We have spent so much money trying to find a mattress that we both could agree on and have a great night sleep, after buying 2 very high end expensive mattresses and ready to just give up, we were told about the purple mattress! Customer service was phenomenal, shipping was fast and this has been the best mattress ever!! Perfect night sleep on the 1st night! Didn't need a week or 2 to get used to it! Highly highly recommend!

The bed is definitely great for a hot sleeper like myself. However I have woken up everyday since I purchased this bed with upper and lower back pain. Purple recommends sleeping on it 21 days so I'm riding it out to see if anything changes but so far quality of sleep has declined since my purchase.

The Purple mattress was an instant hit for us. We both fell in love with it from the first night. It took me a few days to adjust to my Purple pillow, but now, I can't imagine using another. Purple is the best innovation in sleep I've ever experienced. Thanks!
