I was hoping for a cloud-like feel of sinking into the bed. The original Purple provides good support, but it's firmer than what I had hoped for. However, it sleeps very cool, which is great. Still trying to get used to it, but I might get a topper for more softness?

I've never experienced comfort like this. Few years back I broke my back and ever since then I haven't ever work up feeling that great. Until I bought the purple matress. I couldn't believe the comfort I got from this awesome bed. Not only that it wasn't that expensive! Honestly I would have paid more if I known it was going to be this great. I've suggested it to everyone I know. Love it best bed ever! Thank you purple!

I purchased the purple mattress because my daughter has it and we were very comfortable sleeping on her bed. The mattress itself has been comfortable. However, a neighbor who also bought the purple mattress told me that purple was picking up their old mattress it not the box springs. I asked purple to pick up our old mattress and they said they don't do that. ??? Suggested I call the Salvation Army or 1-800 got junk. Why offer the service to some but not all?

I have now slept on the purple hybrid for one week and am missing my old mattress. It's extremely hard, I can feel the grid squares, and I now have upper back pain when I wake. I wake up at least 5-6 times a night to readjust in attempts to be comfortable. I cannot wait until the 21 days of required use are up so I may call for a refund. Only positive is the weight transfer is felt minimally.

I am enjoying my Purple bed, and so are my children! Even with wetting the bed, it's fairly easy to clean. It's still a lot of work, but at least the cover comes completely off and underneath is that material you can wipe off with disinfectant or whatever cleaner.

Both my wife and I sleep great on it. The only problem it is a lot lower than we are use to sleeping, so I'm going to have to build us a frame to get it where our 80 lbs. dog isn't looking down at us in the mornings when they are ready to go out. lol

I've suffered from lower back pain since I started playing rugby 9 years ago. I got the original purple king sized to replace a 20 year old traditional mattress. Even though I'm a side sleeper, I saw an immediate improvement, and stopped waking up in pain and haven't had back pain even after 13 hour shifts at the bar. I also feel much more refreshed and alert in the mornings. All in all an excellent mattress.

Thumbs up for the Original Purple mattress. We tried the hybrid 2" for a month, but found it to be a little too firm/bouncy and kept waking up cold in middle of the night. Bought the Original Purple instead and both problems were solved. The grid top is great too, very responsive. Thanks to Purple for allowing us to donate the hybrid - we gave it to someone who lost their belongings in a fire.

Marshmallows and Dr. Scholls inserts are a good way to describe this mattress. But not the fluffy marshmallows! I had no problem adjusting to this bed and was fine the first night! I'm a side sleeper and some reviews said this was a below average mattress for side sleepers but I haven't found that true at all. There's very little bounce so a partner will likely never be disturbed. This bed envelopes me in comfort and it's very easy for me to fall asleep -- something I've had problems with. The temperature is great although I haven't experienced a hot summer yet. I sleep hot and haven't experienced any of that. My sleep is great and I wake up refreshed with no kinks or pains. Bonus!! I was able to easily get my mattress out of the nice bag it came in and didn't have to cut it with the provided tool! Now I have a nice big bag to store my off-season clothes it!

I suffer from back pain and a herniated disk. The Purple mattress is the only mattress I can sleep on without being in pain. I also wake up without any pain which is amazing after consistently being in pain. I like this mattress so much I bought one for my Mom who suffers from back pain after she broke her tailbone.
