I have been pleasantly surprised at how well I am sleeping on the new purple mattress, although I think that it is very important to give yourself time to adjust the difference. The change was not noticeable at first but after a few weeks now I can't imagine going back to a conventional mattress again! Almost all of my aches and pains are gone now, and I sleep through the night with no problems. This is a great product and I highly recommend it!

at first I was really skeptical on how soft purple was. like it sinks when u dig your knee in or put pin pointed pressure on it. But my first nights sleep and the night there after blew my mind. I've been struggling with car crash injuries for a long time. Neck and upper back pain was apparent every night for me on my old mattress. Purple did what it set out to do. Purple evenly distributes the weight of our full body accordingly and allows for no sinkage into the mattress and just the right firmness for support. I love it and not returning it ever.

After doing a ton of research both on line and in person my husband and I know that purple is the best for us. It did take a little bit to get use to but from the first night it felt great. For as long as I can rememberi would wake up 3 or 4 times a night. More times than not I woke up sweating, this past summer that had not happened once.. We would and do recommend the purple bed to everyone.

I'll try to be brief. 300 lbs, old back injury, 53 yr old male, side and back sleeper. Traditional mattress and box springs would break down slowly, making it hard to tell that there was a change. I thought my back injury was to blame when I woke up feeling worse than when I went to bed. "You need to spend more and buy a "better" bed!" I was told. I can only spend so much on a failing system. I worked it down to where I felt "ok" with about 5 hrs of sleep. When I'd sleep in on the weekends I felt worse. Decided to buy the way-expensive but oh-so-worth-it Purple original. First the frame arrived and we removed our old frame and box springs and used our old mattress on it. With the luxurious under-bed storage it's worth just buying the frame because my old mattress felt so much better on it and now I had massive storage space. Honestly, if you're on a budget and your profile is similar to mine the frame is great all by itself with a standard mattress. Such an improvement. Then the sheets arrived but I wanted to wait to use them on the Purple. Finally the incredibly heavy giant purple package arrived. I can carry our old mattress with one hand by myself. You'll need 2 people to move the Purple. Heavenly. I almost cried after the first night sleep because I felt great when I woke up and I haven't felt that way for a long time. Now I look forward to sleep AND WAKE UP FEELING LIKE I GOT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP. I had to all-cap that because it's a huge difference. Yes, you might be able to spend enough money to find a mattress that holds up to 300lb sleepers but based on my experience it will be at least as much as the Purple and it's still a gamble. "Oh you should've got brand X" they'd say after it broke down. It was fine for me right out of the box but my wife wanted to put a topper that she loves on it, didn't change it much and she's happy. We're both happy. Oh yeah, the sheets are insane. Smoothest thing I've ever felt. I never thought I'd love a bed, but I do. I couldn't be happier with it. (and the under-bed storage space is insane!)

Definitely took a couple days to get used to, but worth the wait! Only problem we faced is that the top layer was stuck together on one side. We had to dig our fingers in and pull to get it unstuck to itself in numerous places. The top piece was also not cut all the way through the squares in some places but it has not effected the comfortablility of the bed.

I ordered the purple mattress on the advice of my chiropractor. It took about 3 weeks for me to get used to the mattress and then it was smooth sailing from then on. I no longer wake up with neck pain or backaches. We purchased a bunkbed for our granddaughter when she visits and bought a twin size for her, she sleeps like a log which is a win-win for all of us. When we're away, I miss my purple mattress. I'm trying to talk my 86 year old mom into buying one!

When I first laid down in the Purple, I was not dis-appointed nor was I ecstatic. At first it seemed like other memory foam mattresses. Although I did not sink so far in to it like with others. Ok, so here's the problem with the Purple bed. I DO NOT WANT TO GET OUT OF IT IN THE MORNING! Very, very, very relaxed...

I sleep so much better and with much less hip pain. Thank you Purple Mattress!! I bought one for my younger son as a house warming gift and then he bought me one when I downsized and bought a new home. We love this mattress so much that I bought one for my older son and his wife for a belated wedding/honeymoon gift.

My husband and I have had our mattress for right at a month now, and we couldn't love it more! It was our wedding present to eachother haha. I'm not going to lie, the first night or two it took a little adjusting just because the texture of the top layer is way different than what we're used to. But once we got used to it it has been amazing. I find myself so refreshed in the morning but the bed is so comfortable it is a little hard to leave!

Initially the bed was going to be delivered on a day where neither myself or my girlfriend would have been home to receive it. To avoid any unnecessary difficulties, we requested a vacation hold for two days that turned into TWO WEEKS after our bed was "accidentally given" to someone else. In total, we waited THREE weeks for the bed and when I contacted Purple Customer Service to ask for some form of compensation, I was told that we would be getting our bed and that was all. Purple should hire people with better communication skills and a sense of empathy. Additionally, the customer service line doesn't list the available call hours so you end up waiting on hold for forever. The bed itself seems to be pretty good so far but the trial isn't up quite yet, so we'll see. Initially, you'll be able to feel the grid a lot before becoming accustomed to it over time. As far as cradling pressure points, my girlfriend still definitely wakes up with pain in her hips and shoulders, just not as much as our last bed.
