In truth, I bought this mattress for my husband's comfort. I find it very comfortable, and I sleep in different positions each night. My husband is mostly a side sleeper and he has been very happy with the comfort of our Purple mattress :) just saving up now to get some Purple pillows

We decided to invest in the original Purple knowing that a traditional mattress with boxspring was not providing us any level of comfort any more. My husband and I both have multiple areas of arthritis and were sick and tired - literally - of waking up every morning sore. In fact, my husband would often be up after only 4-5 hrs of sleep because he just wasn't comfortable in bed. With the Purple mattress, by day 2, he was and still is sleeping comfortably about 7-8 hrs a night now. And my hip joint pain and neck pain which were always aggravated after a night's sleep are pretty much none existent in the morning now. We have a bedframe that was not going to work with the Purple base, so we bought the Zinus 5" high bunkie board. The slats are 3" wide and about 3" apart which fit the specs. We will definitely be keeping the bed; it has made a clear difference for us. BTW we ordered the sheets as our freebie - kind of a weird texture - they almost feel like pantyhose almost. But they are comfortable and don't get too cold or too hot.

We've had the Purple mattress for about 3 weeks and are sleeping well. My wife is petite, sleeps on her side and is happy. I'm about 150 lbs, sleep on my back and am also sleeping well. The support is very good. I also find the edge support to be better than expected and not an issue. My only remaining question is whether I'd like a little more of a memory foam "hugging" feeling from the top layer. I find that memory foam toppers give a feeling of comfort while falling asleep and the Purple does not have that feeling. My wife is very happy with the fact this bed does not sleep hot as that is her main objection to memory foams. So for now, our feeling is that the Purple mattress is very good, but I'm still trying to figure out whether I want a top layer that hugs me to create that feeling of softness while falling asleep.

Like the mattress. fell like I'm on top of it more than I thought I would be. I'm a side sleeper and my shoulder is not bothered as much sleeping no shoulder pain. Feel a little ripped of weeks after I ordered my mattress they had a Kickstarter and I could have gotten free pillows.

I bought a purple mattress because I was in the market and really needed one for a bad back. At the recommendation of a friend and reviews on the internet (not from Purple's website) I decided to go with a purple mattress. The purple does take a few nights to get used to. The first few days to week I didn't sleep too well. However, I've had it about a month now and have noticed on my sleep tracker that I consistently get more deep sleep than I used to. Additionally my back doesn't hurt anymore when I get up (like on my old mattress). I have started having shoulder pain though. Now I'm not sure if this is because of my massive purse (I feel like I've added more to it recently) or the mattress. My shoulder did not used to hurt so consistently though. If I sleep on my back, I'm fine. (I can go between side sleeping and back sleeping, side sleeping being my natural go to). The mattress is both soft and firm. I have no other way to explain it. I like it. You get the cushy feeling of a memory foam (though not hot) with the firmness needed for support. I have a couple more months on my free trial and I'm honestly not sure what direction I'll go as far as keeping it or not. Delivery was a breeze but I had to dead man haul it into my apartment solo - not something I would recommend. You definitely need help setting it up (Queen size mattress, decent sized female). Relatively easy set up with two people.

Before I got the Purple mattress, I was waking up over 20 times a night; I could feel every one of my partner's tossing and turning and my joints ached. I have been sleeping for four or five hours at a time, not feeling my partner moving at all, and not aching anymore. Mattress is firm and still conforms to my body. Excellent!

When making the decision to go with Purple, we knew getting rid of the old mattress would be a problem. And it is, still clogging our hallway TWO months later! This is a problem the brand needs to address if you really want to compete with retailers who both hand-deliver the new and take away the old mattress. We live in a rural setting yet do not have hauling equipment, so we'll need to pay a hauler, and it's a hassle. However yes, we are happy with the new Purple mattress.

Unfortunately I experienced nothing but problems almost as soon as I placed my order. Getting the mattress without the platform first. No white glove delivery. No set up. No removal of old mattress (extra cost to me to get rid of it). Waiting, waiting, waiting. Then when the platform arrives it's the wrong one! Wait, wait, wait, wait some more. It took a month to finally get the platform set up and the mattress put on it. No compensation, no effort to make it right. Would have been nice to send us some free sheets or something. That said, we like the mattress and will keep it. But highly unlikely we'll get another product from Purple in the future.

This mattress has the perfect amount of support. It feels firm, but also light, airy, and feels comfortable in all sleeping positions. I was never able to be a back sleeper, but this mattress allows for it. Also it is VERY cool (temperature). Looking forward to see how it is in hot summer months. The only thing I would change, is the packaging. Although the Purple bag is nice and great quality, rolled up in the plastic, in a big box would be fine for me. Would much rather spend the extra cost of packaging, for an upgraded mattress.

Alright y'all, anyone who knows me knows I have alot (and I mean ALOT) of problems with my back. My pain came way before having the kids and the now current pain I get (especially in the colder months) from where I was given the epidural. Back in 2008 while at my first chiropractor visit they discovered I have a small hole at the base of my spine and this was more than likely the root of my problems. So needless to say I've had a pretty long history of sleeping, or should I say NOT sleeping for very long periods of time or very rarely without pain. More recently I've had a few problems develop with my feet, and the shooting pain in the morning when I would wake up was enough to make you want to cry at times. We've tried alot of things over the years to help "deal" with the pain from mattresses to pain meds, electronic patches, chiropractor visits and even heat patches all of which helped of course for a little while but you needed repeatedly to follow up with all of theses methods of treatment. One night while laying in bed we came across the add for the PUPRLE MATTRESS and after talking it over we decided to try it out. Last night was our first night sleeping on it and I have got to say that I honestly slept the entire night, that's right friends I went to bed around 1030pm and did not wake until almost 8 this morning!!! NEVER have I had sleep like this, I usually toss and turn continuously through the night but if I moved around last night there is no memory of it. In our old bed I would hear and feel every time my husband got up for a drink or to use the restroom... Not last night and come to find out he was up a few times! It's seriously crazy. so not only did I get a great night's sleep but my back....NO PAIN!!! My pain level before had been about a 7 to 8 waking up each morning, today A BIG FAT 0!!!! my back feels amazing, my hips don't hurt, and I could actually get outta bed this morning because my feet were not shooting with pain. The way that this bed forms to your body (not at all like memory foam don't get them confused) is fantastic, it hits all your pressure points just right and takes all the weight off leaving you feeling almost like air. Speaking of air, we have our fan placed on the floor near the foot of our bed and this mattress is so amazing you can feel the air from the fan circulating through it!! You don't ever have to worry about getting hot or sticky!I am not a big fan on trying new things but this was well worth it. I would highly recommend the purple mattress to anyone who is looking to get rid of the old spring mattresses and box springs. I look forward to many more good nights sleep ahead!!!
