I have had my Purple mattress about 30 days and since night 1 have known it wasn't leaving my house. I was always skeptical that foam mattresses would be hot, uncomfortable lumps but this mattress is anything but. It supports and stays cool. I work a very physical job. Sleep and recovery are important for me. Purple mattresses do the dang thing.

I am a back sleeper and wife a side sleeper. We moved from a very old conventional pillow top bed to Purple bed. We have been on the bad over a month now and while we had been hopeful, it does not seem to be working out. I am having a soreness in my back right between the shoulder blades. My wife is experiencing should discomfort. We will probably give it another week but if it does not improve, we will have to get a refund.

I have a bad back and was very worried about buying a mattress online that I hadn't been able to try first. I had also heard that it may take some getting used to. I don't understand why people are saying that. I usually am very stiff in the morning when I wake up and have to stretch prior to getting out of bed. I now wake up with no pain at all, no longer have to stretch in the morning in order to get moving.

We've been struggling to find that Goldilocks type mattress, and luckily, Purple fits the bill. I tend to either sleep on my side or stomach, but have found any way I flop down on the bed, my body feels great. He's normally on his back or stomach but found that most mattresses give out after a short time. We also purchased the pillows to match; he loves his, I have found I need to break those "bad" habits of sleeping with my hand tucked up next to my chin.

I've had my bed for about a month now and really like it. At first it was an odd combination of soft and firm, you don't sink down into this bed you lie on top like a very firm mattress but then you realize that your pressure points don't have any pressure. It took awhile to get used to the feeling but I'm sleeping better and that is pretty much the point.

We love our Queen sized Purple mattress that we bought a couple years ago, so when we moved and needed another bed, we upgraded to a King and gave our guest bedroom the Queen. Not only do we love the king, but our guests have loved the purple bed too!!

Amazing! I have had the same mattress for over 15 years and had been telling myself for years that my next big purchase was going to be a new mattress. You know one of those extremely expensive tempurpedic ones. But everytime I went looking I was put off by the fact that half were two beds side by side or one solid bed with some huge contraption as a base so it could move up and down. Not for me I just wanted a new mattress, a good mattress. I injured my back several years ago improperly lifting something heavy and never thought about how my nasty old mattress could be making it worse or not helping it at all. One day I saw the goldilocks egg test video and was immediately intrigued by what I saw. So I went to the website, read the about us and our product info, and was even more interested. So I talked to my boyfriend and he tred talking me out of it saying we can find a mattress somewhere else. NOOO... I wanted this one. So I did it! I had to rearrange my bedroom, buy a new bed frame and tv stand, but I couldn't be happier. I LOVE THIS BED! My boyfriend loves this bed! I used to dread going to bed. Now I never want to get up! Only part way through the 100 day challenge, but so far it's the best investment I've ever made! Thank you for making a product that had all of the qualities I was looking for and then some. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I researched mattresses for awhile before deciding that I would purchase the Purple mattress. My wife and I are extremely happy with our purchase. There are four things that we noticed about our recent purchase: 1) We are most happy with how cool this mattress sleeps. With our old mattress there were nights where we would wake up and have sweat through the sheets. That hasn't been an issue at all since we got our Purple mattress. If temperature is something that you are concerned about, I highly recommend this mattress. 2) The very first night I could tell an immediate difference with the support the mattress provided. I sleep on my side/stomach, and with our old mattress I would get into bed, and then get into my sleeping position. For the next few minutes I would have to slowly start to relax as I would always feel pain in my back as my body slowly got used to my sleeping position. The first night with our Purple mattress my body was able to immediately relax with no pain at all. That was as great surprise, and helped me realize I chose the right mattress. 3) During the first two weeks of sleeping on the Purple mattress, my wife and I both experienced waking up numerous times throughout the night, up to 10 times a night. We were able to adjust, or roll-over and go right back to sleep, and we didn't feel like we were losing sleep. We both just noticed that we were experiences similar situations. This only occurred during the first two weeks, so I believe this was just part of adjusting to the new mattress. 4) The last thing we noticed about our mattress was our dreams. During the first 4-6 weeks, we realized that we were both having more dreams, our dreams were more vivd, and we were able to remember them with great detail in the morning. We found this strange, and actually laughed about it. It also made for good morning conversations while getting ready. I'm not saying this is specific to Purple, but the fact that we both experienced the same thing and the same time leads me to believe it has something to do with the new mattress. Our trial period is coming to an end soon, but it doesn't matter as we have no intention of returning this mattress. Since our purchase, I see that Purple has now introduced additional products including a pillow. With how cool the mattress sleeps, I may have to try out the pillow as I constantly flip my pillow in order to get the cool side. I am also looking to purchase a seat cushion for my father who has undergone two back surgeries and is scheduling a 3rd later this year. He was in town when our mattress was delivered and he was intrigued with the small samples that arrived with the mattress. Extremely Satisfied Customer.

After doing a lot of research I thought I found the best replacement for our old mattress. We were so excited then we're greatly disappointed. I'm sure this mattress (original purple) would be be good for back sleepers, it's very much not good for side sleepers. My husband and I are both side sleepers and even after months of giving this mattress a try we just couldn't do it anymore. Even my husband, who can pretty much sleep on anything, was waking up with his back hurting. So disappointing! I hope the new purple is a better design for all those side sleepers out there who decide to try it. Wish we would have given up during the 100 night trial, but sadly we gave it more time hoping for it to get better.

So my boyfriend loved the mattress right off the bat (he's a memory foam kinda guy), and after about 2 weeks of breaking it in, I fell in love with it too! I've always owned and loved pillowtop mattresses, mostly because I don't weight a lot, so memory foam mattresses actually hurt, making me wake up achy because I didn't weight enough to get down to the soft, comfort level. I also never liked how slow you sunk into the mattress, which is one of the reasons I like our Purple mattress so much! It really is a great middle ground between those who are devoted to memory foam and those who prefer a more traditional spring mattress. My biggest suggestion/recommendation for the engineers at Purple is that since these are such heavy mattresses (our king was ~140 lbs to be exact), it would have been MUCH easier if the mattress itself had had a handle sewn on to the sites to assist with lifting it on the base, since it comes rolled up in the package inside out. Unfortunately because of this, as my boyfriend and I (mostly my boyfriend) were trying to lift the mattress onto the Purple platform base, the mattress fabric got caught on one of the platform's screws and ripped the fabric in the very middle of the mattress, so before we'd even laid on our mattress for the first time, we had a big rip. It was very upsetting. So unless handles get added to the mattress, have AT LEAST 2 big guys to left the mattress up. Other than that, we love this mattress and are also very happy we bought the sheets (so stretchy and breathable) and the platform base too (no more pain in the butt bed frames.)
