I did the research... I run hot "sauna hot", I'm a back sleeper & I wake up in pain every day. I finally saved enough money to buy the best bed for me& my back. When my bed arrived I was home alone and could not figure out how to open my mattress. I called my purple family for help on how to open and got the best tips!!! Open window, let the Matress air out w/out sheets on the bed for 2 hrs and it's worth the wait. Best sleep of my life no more night sweats, no more pain, no mor waking up in the middle of the night. Insanely comfortable for my posture, wish I could have stayed on it forever. However, I have a back injury and the mattress was SO COLD I couldn't stay on it for more than 20 mins. We tried everything-- topping it with something else, padding above and below, wool, flannel, keeping it insulated from the exterior wall. Even with the room turned up to 85 degrees and me completely wrapped in blankets and tucked in, everything would be warm except the freezing cold would come up through the mattress until my spine and shoulders were aching and couldn't move. Wish so hard it would work. So so cold. Purple, if you ever make a warm version, I am so in in a heartbeat.

Any time I see something that's got too much hype built up around it I run the other way. This bed has floored me though. It's like sleeping on a cloud. I have several disc injuries and had a good memory foam bed before but this bed provides a sort of hugging support I can't explain. If you're a stomach sleeper you know the pinch in your back you get if you don't put a pillow under your hips. Without the pillow this bed is perfect. It you didn't think it would be worth it, try it.

It was so exciting to get my new Purple Mattress and Purple Pillow! I can actually lie on my side to go to sleep without having to turn over in half-an-hour with hip pain. And, when I'm on my back and adjust my bed to zero gravity, I stay asleep so much longer I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning! My Purple Pillow is just as wonderful and, though it is a bit heavy (I tossed it at my honey to show him and he asked me to tell you he was in a coma for three days), it is perfect for side or back sleeping! And, the little sample pieces of Purple you included have become my Fidgety-Gibbets. You should think about marketing those! Just squeeze and squeeze and watch them go back into shape! Fun! This newer replacement mattress is nice but it's not as nice as my original mattress was during the first few years or so...unfortunately the mattress was showing a lot of wear so we used the warranty. That process was surprisingly quick! Overall I just don't have the same praises for purple as before, but I'm very pleased with their customer service.

I write this as I lay on my new mattress, flat on my back. I've not laid flat on my back in 20+ years. The chronic pain in my lower back and hips has melted away. I will shout from mountain tops till I'm purple. THIS IS THE BEST MATTRESS ON EARTH. My back thanks you. My hips thank you. I thank you.

My wife and I are both side sleepers, and we both have medical issues that hinder our ability to sleep well. I purchased your mattress because I liked the concept. I have three herniated discs in three separate areas of my back, a damaged knee, problems with with hips and both shoulders. My wife has her own set of health related issues. We are both in our mid 50s, so all of these problems added up make sleeping more of a chore than something to look forward to. I am sad to report we are basically forced to return your mattress because of all of the reasons I mentioned. I think sleeping on our side takes away from the potential of what your design has to offer, and there is much more pressure on our bodies due to the smaller surface area being covered when laying down. I think you have a good product, and I am interested in purchasing your pillows and maybe even the seat cushion. While I am currently in the process of returning your mattress, I am impressed with your method of handling it.

The Purple mattress turned out to be just what I was looking for in a supportive yet comfortable mattress with give. I'm a side sleeper and had a back injury last year that caused me to be unable to sleep on my side. I was weary about buying a mattress online. I did a TON of research and decided on the purple mattress for a few reasons. 1-the warranty 2- the reviews about how cool the mattress stays because of the grid technology (my husband is a hot sleeper) 3- the comfort. I am not disappointed!! This mattress is great and I find that I am sleeping all through the night where before I'd wake up often trying to get comfortable. Just buy the mattress! I bought a Purple because I had horrible hip pain while attempting to sleep. I ordered the bed at the time when the promotion was free sheets with the bed. The bed came quickly, less than a week later. The sheets came a full 2 months after that. In that 2 months I had very few nights that were actually good. No sheets I tried fit the bed. The lumps and bumps of extra sheet material kept me from getting what I needed out of the bed and I almost returned it! I tried everything! Stretchy jersey sheets like Purple suggests, my regular comfy sheets with 10 feet of sheets gathered and bunched under the mattress with those stretch girdle thingys and even sheets in a Full size (my bed is a queen)! I only didn't give up because I'm stubborn. When my new Purple sheets came I was in Heaven! NOW I can say Purple is the best most comfortable mattress in the world! I am writing a review because I read hundreds of reviews before purchasing and I want to save anyone else the hassle ahead of time if possible. Buy a Purple, you'll love it, but, DON"T BUY THE PURPLE MATTRESS WITHOUT BUYING THE PURPLE SHEETS!!!!!!!!!
