I didn't think I would need the pillow... lol but I want the pillow now.. feel like my head is up to high all the time (my tonsils has been swollen since before I got it so that could be the deal... I'm getting them taken out ) anywho I'm loving it still!

We had our old mattress for a year before my husband and I were walking up with pain, not sleeping well. It took us a bit to make a switch due to money, however I'm SO glad we did! It's firm but soft all at the same time! Love the firmness but how it cradles in all the right places.

Our change to the Purple Mattress came after sleeping on the same mattress we got when my husband and I first got married, 10 years ago. Before the switch, I was waking up with constant back pain and it took longer to recover from pain in my back from the day. This mattress has helped so much! I no longer wake up in pain and laying down is such a relief. Both my husband and I sigh in relief when we go to sleep, because the bed just feels so good on our backs. It's been interesting too, because he is a stomach sleeper, and I'm a side sleeper. We also both toss and turn quite a bit, but that isn't a problem at all now. I look forward to seeing how it does in the heat of summer, but right now, my back is finally happy!

I even tested the egg on my little sample square and I could not get it to break! Its like a magical bed- I have never slept as well as I have in this bed! I have a sample square of purple at work that I show everyone because I think it is that great! I just ordered my pillows and cant wait for them to arrive.

We are happy to have found you by chance, searching for something new in sleep technology. We owned one of the first Select Comfort beds- before they had stores, so we were not new to 'mail-order". We had it for 24 years and were very satisfied, but we wanted to unplug from the wall when it finally did fail. So, your science, business practices as far as community, materials, etc.; made in the USA; sense of humor in your videos; all were very attractive to us in a company. Wow! I am very impressed with my purple king mattress and would recommend anyone to give it a shot. I have been sleeping on a newer iComfort memory foam mattress and wasn't really in the market to replace it. I frequently read about all these new boxed, memory foam mattress startups and at first glance expected this just to be another. I have intense neck and back pain from a variety of reasons so I decided to try out Purple's claims of pressure relief on the spine. I can definitely notice a huge relief when laying down at night, more substantial than with the relief I got with the iComfort. Give it a shot, you might really like it.

Night 1 Sleep took about 30 minutes to fall asleep, which is about 20 minutes longer than normal. I still woke up at least twice once when my wife crawled into bed and a second time at 0200 because I was cold, I blame the ceiling fan which was on medium instead of low. I did not wake up earlier or before my alarm, which is usually the way I wake up in the morning about 15-30 minutes before my alarm, although I did go to bed 1 hour later due to my daughter's soccer game. When I woke up I did not have the nagging back pain I usually have in the morning and my neck felt better. My old mattress would be like a cocoon around me as I sank in about 8 inches over the night. This morning I woke up on top of the mattress. My last mattress was a Sealy perfect night sleeper which I would have bought again except it was difficult to figure out which mattress I actually bought last time because every mattress store does not disclose the mattress the same. The Sealy was the first spring, memory foam combo with cooling gel on top. We flipped the mattress almost religiously, every Sunday, and rotated it for the past 16 years. I'm pretty sure it is dead and will go downstairs to be a guest mattress now, that way guest won't want to stay very long. Night 2 Well only took about 10 minutes to fall asleep but woke up when spouse was fighting with the door, didn't feel her get into bed though. I still woke up about three times last night but was able to quickly fall asleep. Bed is firm but you get used to it fast. I still didn't wake up with back pain last night but I still don't feel like I wake up refreshed although it is only day two. I will check my Fitbit to see if I am sleeping better. I will keep you posted. Night 3 Well last night was a quick flop on the bed and off to sleepy land I went. I still woke up three times when my spouse's phone went off, although she appeared to not even twitch at the sound. I'm starting to think that this is a great mattress if you want your spouse to sleep well but you still need to get up and take care of stuff around the house for them because they are going to be out like a light. My spouse did wake up this morning to tell me that she feels like she is going to fall off the bed, but she is actually sleeping in the middle of the mattress and forcing me off my purple mattress, so I don't understand what she is saying. Once again no back pain waking up, so that is at least a good thing. Night 4 The sheets are now on the bed and they feel just like silk sheets but stretchy. Best thing about the sheets is my spouse can't steal all the sheets because they stretch so much that I actually maintain some possession of the sheets throughout the night. Night 4 same as previous, wake up because spouse comes to bed and bangs the door closed. Able to fall back asleep but still woke up twice that night, slight twing of back pain waking up but nowhere near the previous mattress. Night 5-7 Over the last 3 nights there has been very little difference in the amount of times I've been woken up by other people in the house and the non-existent back pain in the mornings. The sheets probably took the most amount of time to get use to because they are kind of slippery. As you lie on the bed you sort of mold into a position after sleeping on the mattress, maybe about 3 minutes of very slight, very gradual movement. Final opinion-Will likely come back and give a weekly/monthly or yearly review For the price the original purple mattress is just about as good as you can get. If you don't like it after a few weeks, you very well won't like anything. My FITBIT sleeping data is about the same amount of movement over the night which from me wasn't much. My spouse on the other hand has been a restless sleeper for the past 5 years until the purple mattress, she doesn't move at all now. In short, love your spouse, buy a purple.

I'm an RN that works the med/surg floor and it if you're a nurse you that the job is really hard on your back. I was always some kind of sore, especially my back. I had sleeping on the same mattress I had from college when I pinched a nerve and couldn't walk right for a few days. I had been thinking about getting a purple for a while and after that finally decided to do it. It was so worth it!! Just one night of sleeping on this mattress made a world of difference! My back felt 100x better! I've the bed for almost two weeks now and I can already say that I'm going to be sleeping on a Purple for the rest of my life! I have no more back pain, I don't toss and turn as much anymore, and I feel so well rested! I cannot recommend this bed enough! If you're thinking of trying it out, do it! You will not regret it!

My mattress came at the appropriate time. It passed the egg test as promised. I love it so much! It was easy to open once positioned it the way I needed it (super heavy). This is the best mattress I've ever had. It doesn't have springs which makes it soundless when I get up or roll over. The foam doesn't stay sunken in. It always re-inflates. Purple was the best decision I've made for my back and sleep cycle.

It's almost been a month now and I have not had a day without back pain. I thought it was me, but I switched it up last night and slept on my son 's typical spring matress while he was at a sleepover last night and fell asleep no problem. I typically do not have back pain - it flares up maybe once a year but this is ridiculous. To be in such pain for a month, pain that makes it so I cannot bend down. I need to return this mattress.
