I will be happy to adjust this review if the noise issue with our mattress protector is resolved. I have never had a bed make this much noise. It consistently wakes up my wife and I. Worst part is you have to use the cover to get the warranty. For such an advanced bed, the mattress protector is a huge let down. We have had the bed for a month and washing the protector multiple times has not reduced the noise it creates when you move or roll over.

We really enjoy our Purple mattress. It does take a bit to get used to the feel. However, I noticed that the first morning after sleeping on our Purple mattress that I didn't have the usual back or hip pain to which I was accustomed. I truly like waking up in the morning and not needing to "walk out" the stiffness and pain. I have recommended Purple to several people.

I had really high hopes for this bed. I moved to a new city and needed a new bed. I saw ads for the Purple mattress and loved the concept of it, so I thought I would give it a try. I definitely wasn't in love after the first night, which was a little disappointing. The bed is extremely firm. I think as a lighter weight person, I was not heavy enough to sink into the top layer of the bed. I'm 5'4'' 115lbs and my boyfriend is 6'2'' 170lbs, we both felt too light when laying flat on the bed. When you sit on the bed it seems so comfortable and sinks in quite a bit, but when you lay down and your weight distributes, it is much different. I read reviews that said to wait 30 days to adjust to the bed, but everyday I woke up sore and hurting. Also not sure if this is from the bed, but I could not sleep under the covers on this bed. I would wake up extremely hot and sweating. I thought the bed was designed to be cool, but it didn't seem that way. We even used the recommended sheets. I wear a Fitbit when I sleep, and I was restless/waking up 30 or more times every night. The one thing I liked about the bed is that the transfer of motion was very minimal. After about a month and a half, we decided to return the bed and get a different one. After reading some of the other reviews and learning about the return process, I was a little worried. We decided we would drop the mattress off for donation instead of having them come pick it up. Some reviews mentioned they no show a lot, and we didn't want to have to deal with that. By taking it ourselves, the return process was super easy! I took the mattress to the Salvation Army, they signed a receipt, I emailed a picture of the receipt to Purple, and they issued me a refund the next day. Took less than 24 hours for the entire process. From our experience, Purple has great customer service/return assistants!

The mattress actually made my injury worse from how it feels. I'm waiting to get my third set of mri's on my back to see if the damage to my back actually increased. My daughter doesn't like it and my significant other doesn't like to sleep over with how uncomfortable it is.

I purchased my 1st generation Purple about two years. Right out of the package I felt instant relief. My first night was extremely comfortable. I convinced two others to buy a Purple. Both individuals are grateful. After about 18 months my back was starting to hurt again. I noticed that my Purple did not have the same feel. I compared it to the center of the bed and the other side. The center felt like it did when I first slept on it. The other side was showing signs of wear. I contact Purple about the problem. They asked me to send them ohotos of the mattress with items of the same weight lined up across the bed. That actually showed how bad the mattress had broken down. The Purple team had my new mattress out to me within a week. I understand that not everything is perfect from any production. I expect this replacement will last me a long time.

I have tried many matresses over the years, Soft Side Water, Std Coil, Coil w/ Memory Foam Top, Std Sleep Number, Sleep Number w/ Cool Gel Memory Foam, Latex and now Purple for the last 3 weeks. The Purple has no pressure points for side sleeping, but has a firm feel to keep you fairly straight. It is like no other mattress I have ever used. So far it is fenominal, it has relieved my low back muscle pain and is begining to relieve my hip discomfort also. I would definitely reccomend trying this mattress, I do not think you will be disapointed if you prefer a firmer mattres w/o any pressure points.

We have tried all diff mattresses and saw this on and had to try it. I did my research and my comparing b4 buying and just had to get it. I am someone w a horrible back injury and my wife is a disabled vet so she had a bad back as well. This mattress has changed our lives. I tell people all the time to try it. We r do happy with purple.

My husband and I were previously sleeping on a sleep number bed. The bags under our eyes were growing everyday. I ordered the Purple and we have slept soundly every night since it arrived. My husband would literally be daydreaming about sleeping in his Purple at work because he could not wait to get back into it. We loved it so much we bought one for our daughter and 3 of our friends have also purchased a Purple. Thank you for a great product that has improved our lives!

It was great for about 8 months, and now I need to replace this mattress for the exact same reason I purchased it. I wake up in pain every day now because the mattress hasn't held up even a year. The first 6 months were great, but I don't recommend spending this price for only 6 months of good sleep.

This mattress is perfect. My wife and I both used to gravitate toward the center of our old mattress, where it caved in, and wind up fighting about which of us was on the other's side more. This isn't a problem anymore! We like sleeping together again! She even hooked up the TV in the bedroom! We're never leaving this bed. Seriously, it's great. It isn't hot. We can't feel each other move at night, which is good for my wife because I move around more than two pigs fighting under a blanket at night and now I get yelled at a lot less on the whole. Money well spent!
