I have had this mattress for approximately 30 days now. It is comfortable and it does take time to get use to it. I have lower back pain and can normally function with it but when I transitioned to the Purple mattress it crippled me and I could barely stand. This has been better now but definitely was a down fall in the first couple weeks. The Purple mattress has continued to be extremely hot for me to sleep on. I have had to lower the temperature in my house to counter this effect with the mattress since it makes me sweat while sleeping.

I have never been more comfortable or slept better in my life. My wife and I have the King size Purple mattress, and we chuckle almost daily about looking forward to being able to cuddle up in it. At only 33, I'm a veteran that has had some injuries and multiple surgeries, and for more than 5 years I've woken up with joint pains all over, especially my knee. Those days are over, it's like I'm sleeping on air all night and I have zero joint pain. Getting up feels better, just leaving the mattress is the pain now.

I ordered my Purple mattress as a replacement for a casper I lost to an ex. I really slept well on the old mattress but seem to sleep even better on the Purple. I can feel the grid allowing more airflow under me as I sleep and the support is just what my back seems to like. I also ordered the Purple sheets and have really been enjoying how they feel and stretch, better than any sheets I've had before. Purple seems to make great products all around.

Super easy to put the purple brand cloth covered frame together. It looks great and is very sturdy My husband thanks the Purple team for that. Finally a bed that is comfortable for my back and hip. If you toss and turn due to back or hip pain try the Purple mattress. I have tried many mattresses and this one is it! Supportive but not hard. I Purchased the basic model with no coil springs Age 68. Still active with some hip arthritis and low back pain and sleeping on the floor till Purple came into my life ❤️

This mattress is awesome! Don't skimp; get the king. It's worth it. You literally have nothing to lose trying this mattress out. If you don't love it after 100 days get in touch with Purple and they'll take care of you. So stop reading reviews and try one out already! We've enjoyed quality sleep since purchasing the Purple. Both my husband and myself have sleep problems that have all but stopped since using the Purple. I no longer wake up with my hips clicking and taking all day for my back to "unthaw" from a terrible night's sleep on our old mattress. I'm able to sit up out of bed in the mornings instead of having my husband help roll me off. When you sleep better, you live better. Invest in a good night's sleep by investing in Purple.

I have significant back problems, fibromyalgia, arthritis, bursitis and thyroid disease. Needless to say, getting a good nights sleep has been difficult for me for many years. I had a really good bed, purchased in the Midwest for 15 years. It's pretty worn out and I can't find another like it here in Idaho. They don't sell them out here. I've searched and searched for a bed that is softer for most of my pain, but firm enough to support my bad back. I believe I found it, because the Purple is just right! I ordered another mail order mattress last year and it was good, but not as good as the Purple. I returned it and ordered the Purple. I'm amazed at how well it supports my back while completely eliminating my other aches and pains. Thank you Purple!

My Wife and I have experienced back and neck pain despite spending a significant amount of money on our previous mattress. Since purchasing the Purple Mattress we both have seen a dramatic decrease in back and neck pain and have sustained sleep throughout the night. We both highly recommend this mattress to those seeking an alternative and solution to back and neck pain.

My first impression with purple really didn't have much to do with purple at all It was with Affirm so far I am really happy with their service and how it works. Now to the mattress. It arrived a day late which was a bit annoying but not terrible. It was easy to set up, had no weird smells and inflated quickly. I was happy with how clean it was. IT IS NOT THE SIZE ADVERTISED. Vertically its an inch and a half plus short. Width wise it's off about a half inch. Personally this is a mistake that is not a big deal practically, however it drives me nuts. When you have 2 founders one that is a, "literal rocket scientist" and you place the specific measurements on your website... it should meet them every time without question. It just feels like a cheap and insulting move. Because who would really expect them to fix a problem like that it seems petty. It just shouldn't be a thing. My other concern which, in total transparency hasn't happened at all yet, is all the negative reviews that talk about the mattress breaking down and creating divots in 6 months to a year. I unfortunately can see this happening without too much strain. Just based on how the mattress feels. As long as this is something they replace IF it occurs at all I have no real concern. This is why I will review again at 6 months and a year. Moving on...the edge support is negligible and the thickness leaves something to be desired. At 5'10 and 160 lbs I don't feel evenly supported and I'm clearly not a big dude. Head, shoulders and mid back all feel really good. However my lumbar spine and hips feel pulled down by my legs and it creates a space where I have less support then I should. This is made most egregious on your back position. Unfortunately its a problem I am reminded of a few times a week and keeps me from adopting a back sleeping position. If you are an unfortunate stomach sleeper like me a thinner pillow with this mattress will probably make your life better, as it seems like the best pairing. Purple 1 isn't cheap and no amount of clever marketing should make the value go up on its own. On principle, the purple 1 feels like a very good rough draft. And if you want to get the real deal I would assume you must get a purple 2 on up. Once you cross that line though you are back to paying a high premium and they really haven't done you any favors compared to many other companies they simply just have a different approach. Reading the product descriptions supports my feelings that if you have a problem with your purple one they tried to fix it with the newer models. unfortunately you don't know its an issue until you have tried the original. One to the good things. I enjoy my purple so far in its softness and support in all areas not limbo pelvic. Its Extremely cool it really doesn't feel like it retains much if any of your heat. I noticed a difference in the first night sleep with a major reduction of shoulder and neck pain to almost zero. The Unique feel isn't an issue for me at all, but it is different. It really doesn't feel like a traditional mattress and I could see that bugging some i really like it though. Not only does it not seem to produce any smell or off gassing it seems like a very cool and clean space to breath. I know that sounds odd, i just find my breathing better frankly when I am on it and look for ward to that. Purple has been a bit to slow to respond for me yet, in fairness its December, and the facade of this happy bubbly company that, "hopes you have a purple day!" kinda makes you feel like you aren't being taken seriously. It seems that building a brand and keeping the name clean is the most important thing. Somewhere in the middle lie, pun not intended, you and the principle quality of the mattress. It probably doesn't sound like it, yet I am cautiously optimistic. I think the issues I have are all lazy easy to fix issues and that is, frustrating. The real question is with all the positives do I want to ride out the rough draft? Upgrade ( no i don't think i should have to to resolve them these seem like problems that shouldn't exist at this level of rocket science and cost). Or find something different. Plainly I like this mattress I just don't feel like i should have to live with the little issues or upgrade. Solid 3 1/2 stars. We will see what another 60 days has to say. In all fairness I was recovering from brain surgery but that has been almost two years now. I loved this bed the first night and every night there after. It hasn't lost shape at all and my husband and I are bigger people. Thanks purple for creating this amazing bed!

Always skeptical about not being able to lay on a mattress first, we did a lot of research on the purple before deciding to buy it. We'd been through three mattresses in seven years and two out of three were not cheap. I am awaiting hip surgery and would wake up multiple times because of the pain. It was so bad my unaffected side was starting to hurt. My husband had packed the holes on his side of the bed with towels and was waking up a lot too. We decided having given the same mattress store three times to get it right and having the same results, we'd take the chance, since it only cost about a third of what we spent on out last mattress. Customer service was great. I just made a comment on Facebook that I couldn't wait to get mine because of the upcoming surgery and a purple rep contacted me personally. We'd been waiting about two and a half weeks and was wondering when it would ship. They shipped it the next day and we had it soon after. We set it up, tried it out and wanted to stay in bed. Instant comfort! The funny thing is our Golden Retriever tried it out with us and she laid down and sighed. It was her dinner time and we had to physically pull her off the bed. Anyway, I guess constantly waking up must have gotten to use because we both slept through the entire night that first night. I am a side sleeper and am even able to lay on my bad side without any pressure or pain. I loved it so much, I bought the seat cushion and love that too. We ordered the pillows as well. There is no more powerful advertisement than word of mouth. We've told multiple people about this wonderful mattress and quite a few are looking into buying their own. With the purple, I'm not waking up in the middle of the night to take a pain pill and I'm not getting up in morning in extreme pain needing another pain pill. The purple is also lower than our old pillow top, which makes it easier for me to get in and out of bed. I really can't say enough about my purple mattress. Four thumbs up from me and my husband and two paws up from our Golden retriever. Yes, if we're out she goes into the bedroom to sleep on the bed. She never did that before. I guess you can say it's human and canine approved. :)
