What I like the most is no pressure on hips, shoulders, etc. No pain to keep me shifting my position. Though I have been told that back sleeping is healthiest, I was not able to sleep on my back, but now wake up in same position as I went to sleep. When I do lie on either side, it's a "yummy" feeling. Again, no pressure point pain!

I waited a while to write this review, because I wanted to see how long the feeling would last. With my last mattress, a conventional spring type, I had an awesome first nights sleep. Then after that it was uncomfortable, and I woke up stiff and sore. So far our Purple is over 2 months with us, and it's still as comfortable as the first day. I sleep well, and wake up without aches and stiffness. Beyond a doubt the best mattress I've ever bought.

Just laying on my new mattress I can feel my back stretching out. I've gone from habitually sleeping 5 hours and night and tossing and turning to sleeping deeply. The only problem is that it is so comfortable I don't want to get out of bed in the morning.

The bed itself is extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. Normally being mobile isn't a big deal, but being pregnant I need a bed that doesn't just sink in when I try to get up. It's firm enough that it's easy to move but gives away perfectly for all of my pressure points and is a relief to return to at night. My favorite part? I have not woken up sore once. I've visited family and slept in some really comfy beds since getting our purple, but I always end up feeling stiff the next morning on other beds. Nothing has compared to my purple. The only negative thing I have to say is that my standard queen sheet does not stay on for more than two nights in a row. A stretchy or slightly larger sheet seems to be needed. This may not be the case for everyone though, as my partner is on the heavier side and it's always his side that gives way.

I just got my Purple 3. There are so many mattress companies out there now. Which one do you choose?? I literally was doing research since early Summer. My old mattress was about 12 ys old and the Kingsdown and the body dent that developed had me rolling literally uphill every time I tried to move.. I'm a side sleeper, and change sides throughout the night. I'm also a bigger guy, about 275lbs. The first few nights on the new Purple I knew my bod was going to half to re-learn some things. I'm a week and half in and I can say, what a difference. It sleeps so cool compared to my old mattress, I'm looking for another blanket to put on the top of the bed at night. The mattress is no responsive as you move or roll. Off gassing, was minor but its not bad either.. The set up and the taking away of my old mattress to be properly disposed of was the clincher for me compared to the other mattresses I was looking at. Edge support is much better than I thought it would be too. After only two weeks, I couldn't be happier.

The Purple Mattress is the best mattress we've ever purchased. I used to toss and turn all night trying to get comfortable. I used to wake up several times a night trying to get comfortable because my back or my hip hurt. Since night number one with the Purple Mattress, I have slept through the night. Every morning I wake up at 7 am and am AMAZED that I didn't wake up at all during the night. I feel like I have had sound, good quality sleep. Prior to the Purple, I also suffered from severe sciatic pain and within a few days of sleeping on the Purple Mattress, my sciatic pain completely disappeared. The only downside to the Purple Mattress is that you can't take it with you when you travel. My kids love it. It calms them and they fall asleep easily on it so now we're considering getting them Purple Mattresses too.

I awoke one morning to learn that between my wife and I laid our 130 lb. dog on his back. Typically, this would be of no surprise to us, however, when we fell asleep, he was on the ground-meaning that somehow in the middle of the night, he crawled up and over me, laid down, and rotated to where he was on his back ALL WITHOUT WAKING EITHER OF US UP. That's a **** good mattress.

I wanted to love this mattress, but unfortunately creeping on it hasn't been consistent. Some days I wake up with my back hurting, and some days I wake up feeling well. I don't have shoulder pain like I have in the past, but I don't think I will be keeping the mattress.

I have relatively broad shoulders for my frame, so sleeping on my side (the only way I can sleep) meant I either had to let my shoulder get crushed and cause a huge arc in my back or raise my arm up and use it as a pillow to decrease my back arc - both ways resulted in really restless sleep and shoulder/neck pain. After a week with Purple my pain started to ease up and after a month I'm sleeping all night and waking up pain free. My wife adjusted more immediately, and like me, she's waking up ready to start the day rather than waking up sore or tired. I would absolutely recommend Purple

Now that I upgraded my bed, there's room for me, the dog, and the cat! No more fighting for space! PLUS, as a bonus, we are all super comfortable and do much less tossing and turning through the night. If only we could reprogram the cat not to wake up at 5am, things would be perfect.
