I did the research... I run hot "sauna hot", I'm a back sleeper & I wake up in pain every day. I finally saved enough money to buy the best bed for me& my back. When my bed arrived I was home alone and could not figure out how to open my mattress. I called my purple family for help on how to open and got the best tips!!! Open window, let the Matress air out w/out sheets on the bed for 2 hrs and it's worth the wait. Best sleep of my life no more night sweats, no more pain, no mor waking up in the middle of the night. I'm a back sleeper that frequently had to switch to my sides for better hip support, which just ended up hurting after too long. With my new Purple mattress, I can sleep on my back all night long or I can switch to my sides and continue to sleep comfortably. I'm a believer! The pillow is great too.

It sleeps cool and is very responsive. The stretchy sheets are essential to get the form-fitting effect from the mattress. At 6'2" 195 lbs with somewhat broad shoulders I would probably ideally go with the newer 3 or 4 if price wasn't a factor because my butt and shoulders are hitting the firmer foam in the middle when on my back and side, respectively.

My roommates laughed when I purchased a mattress that was twice as expensive as their mattresses combined... I had the last laugh when it came in and was laid out. Everyone who has come over to try it out says its the most comfortable mattress they have ever laid on. It took about 2 weeks of sleeping on it before my body adjusted but now I wake up and feel refreshed, no longer starting my day with a back cracking session, something I have done for about 10 years. It is not too firm and gives just enough. I bought this mattress on a gamble, having never tried one before, and I must say it was well worth it!

A friend here and Sedona said she tried every luxury mattress, returned all of them and went with the purple. I wouldn't know About the other designer mattresses on the market. But I do know I had inherited my mom's king size bed which is a firm super comfortable mattress and I got to say the purple is just as good if not better. Highly recommend it

I have had this mattress for about 3 months and so far its been fairly comfortable. on a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being vary hard its probably a 6 or 7 on the firmness scale. the only thing i don't like about it really is it sleeps hot around the lower back and hip area witch has caused me to want to sleep on my side half the night instead of on my back as is normal. I am looking forward to seeing how it will stand up over time as i am a very big guy.

I have chronic lower back pain after a laminectomy many years ago. I have tried multiple brands of mattresses with no relief of morning pain. I've got this purple mattress for over a month and it's really amazing the support it provides in any position. Extremely comfortable. I highly recommended it. It came with a pillow and that's a plus! 10⭐️

My sleep as been really poor the past few months even with at least 8 hours of sleep, so I decided to try Purple out. My back hurt a bit the first night but it quickly adjusted the following night. Now I look forward to going home and sleep because I know I'll wake up refreshed.

After two plus years I am still pleased with my Purple mattress. None of the other new types of mattresses can touch this one. All seem to rely on memory foam. Memory foam traps heat in order to perform its shape shifting. What is not widely understood is that memory foam continues to trap heat and continues to compress until it is barely the thickness of cardboard. I used to have a memory foam lumbar support cushion in my car. On cold days it was hard as a rock. On hot days it was softer than oatmeal. The Purple offers me temperature comfortable sleep. The only catch is that your mattress pad and sheets need to be stretchy otherwise you lose the "soft where you need it" qualities. Looser fitting sheets and a stretchy mattress pad work best. My last sweat drenched sleep was the nights before my Purple arrived. Caution: have friends over to help carry this thing and get it positioned. Have it on the bed before you open it. It is pretty wobbly because of its build, so it is difficult to carry while unrolled. It is very heavy with a king weighing in at 140 pounds. The lady UPS driver made carrying the rolled mattress look easy. I thought I would have it easy only to try to lift it and receive input from my back muscles telling me the chiropractor was waiting. I waved as she drove away and ducked into the garage for the hand truck. OK, I admit, after I had it centered on the bed, I jumped on the mattress like a kid. I fell backwards onto it trying to get it to not cushion my fall. Even standing on the mattress I was unable to compress it enough to feel the solid foundation below it. By the way, an ordinary box springs cannot handle this mattress. However, if you cut a piece of 0.5" or 0.75" plywood to fit over the box springs, you should be just fine. Soft sided water bed box springs work perfectly. The only negative thing is the dogs love it as much as we do. They asked me to get them their own and I told them they did not need one. They thought otherwise. Now I get to share with them. I get a thin slice out of the king size mattress that is 6' long; the dogs take up the rest of the space. And they growl if I disturb their beauty rest!

So far we love our purple mattress. I sleep on my side and my boyfriend is a stomach sleeper so deciding on something that would suit us was challenging. In the end, I'm super happy we chose purple. It's breathable, which is nice since he's a literal furnace at night, and supportive which helps with both of our backs. My only complaint would be it does kinda hurt my hips, but take that with a grain of salt since I've previously shattered my pelvis and literally everything will hurt my hips. It is certainly better than most mattresses I've tried. All in all, we love the purple and highly recommend it,A I even love showing our mattress off to guests.
