Started off not liking this mattress. My first impression was that it was too firm. After a few rather restless nights I realized that part of my issue wasn't with the mattress at all but with some new pillows we had ordered at the same time. After I went to a more comfortable pillow, some stiffness I had attributed to the mattress went away. Every night seems a little better. Nice air flow under me, but it still seems slightly to firm. Only time will tell

I love it! It's what I hoped every expensive, or not, mattress, or sleep thing would always be. It has the perfect (for me, so far) combination of firm, yet squishy. Just Perfect! It feels engineered. I can perceive the effort and thought inside of it (maybe in the voids?). This is from a guy (me) very used to dealing with highly engineered thingys of all flavors. (** that's a compliment **) It's winter now and the next real test will come on the other side of our orbit, when my '60s home's lack of a/c will be much more material to me than it is now. Right now I've got a bedding sandwich consisting of: Purple mattress/Purple white fitted sheet/Purple white top sheet/comfy soft waffle weave blanket/grandma made flannel lined quilt made of MY OWN pre 1995 retired jeans. The bed is in the lower level of my split entry mid century home. While it does feel much cooler down there (vs upstairs) in Summer, some swampy summer scorchers will come every single year, and I'll be there, hopefully for eight sweat free restful hours. When it finally does gets hot, any kind of hot, I am making a kind of rare (for me) Optimistic prediction that this mattress will perform very, very well ( Exactly how well.....we'll see...stay tuned). I came to that prediction through two methods. One: The ventilated design by it's nature Seems to indicate a natural ventilation will occur. Of course, this is a guess. but I've got some wisdom, and I am using it here. Two: Until I decided to take my old mattress and put it inside a tent out in the snow, my bedding sandwich had one other item that had been on my old metal spring mattress (how old fashioned and gross, ick). That was my trusty mattress pad heater. This thing would warm up my bed before getting in, and sometimes through the night. It's just like a super warm (but healthy, and not contagious) entity had just gotten out, warming it up for you. It's so much better than getting into a COLD bed. Brrrrrr!! Awful. Booo! Anyway I did notice it took a much higher setting on my dial (0-10) to get the same warmth. A bummer, but as long as I just had to crank it up a bit, no biggie. But.... it does tell me that the same heat (my old dial setting) isn't effecting myself (my chilliness factor) as much.... therefore those Therms must (probably) be dissipating in the voids of Purple polymer, or some such engineering/science voodoo that I now trust, that you do so well. A + Purple *** :) I will have to find a appropriate pillow. My instinct with this mattress is to have none, but I need something to keep my head pointed to the sky (back sleeper, but side curious). I was skeptical at first buying a mattress I've never tried out. My dad was like, "do it - trust me" and boy was he right. For one, it got here much quicker than anticipated. They were absolutely right saying the mattress would be heavy, a queen is def a two person job to get onto the bed frame. It came with two adorable mini mattresses that I gave to my sister. Overall, incredibly impressed and happy with my purple and fully intend to buy another when the need is there.

I've had sleeping problems for years. I've tried numerous mattresses and mattress toppers with no success. The first night on purple was rough. But the second night I slept like never before. And since then it's been consistently great sleep. Thank you for changing my sleep for the better.

After placing my order for the mattress I was skepitical about it but after my first night of sleep I could not believe it. I always sleep on my side and I would toss and tumble all during the night, I would wake up with my body aching so bad that I could not go back to sleep but with this mattress I did not do this it was a miracle to me. I love this mattress and I recommend it to anyone that wants a better nights sleep. I love it and would definitely buy it again. Thank you purple for making an affordable mattress that helps me to get a good nights sleep

This has been a very positive experience overall. We love our purple mattress and it came with purple sheet set that is amazing. My only problem with it so far, is that I sweat more in this bed than a normal coil bed. This might be because we have it temporarily on top of old box springs so when we get a different frame this may change. I will still be recommending this bed to anyone that asks.

I would like to start off in saying that this mattress is absolutely amazing. When we ordered it, I was skeptical. When it arrived, I was even more skeptical given how firm the mattress is (replaced a memory foam mattress). After sleeping on it for a few weeks, I can tell you this...I sleep 8 hours, like clockwork, with no alarm clock I wake on my own feeling rested and ready to take on the day. On my previous mattress I would sleep 9-10 hours, and drag myself out of bed after dismissing the first 4 alarms I had to set to get me up. I had a double microdiscectomy when I was 30, and still have inflamation issues which cause radial neuropathy pains. Since I have had the purple mattress, I have not awoken to the burning sensation in my leg once. With all this praise...you'd think this mattress has no faults...but it does have 1. The sheets make ALL the difference in the experience you will have with this bed. You must spring the money for the purple sheets...I thought I would be clever and purchase 100% bamboo derived rayon sheets from elsewhere...but they do not have nearly the elasticity nor the breathability of the purple brand bamboo sheets. Using anything other than purple sheets on this mattress effectively increases the firmness from a 6 to a solid 7.5, maybe an 8...and also makes it sleep barely cooler than memory foam. Do yourself a favor...if you spring for this mattress...dont rob yourself of a premium sleeping experience...spring for the sheets as well...you wont regret it.

I would have rated the overall experience with five stars, but the bed frame that I ordered with the mattress took a long time to ship. The mattress shipped within the time frame indicated at the time I ordered. I love the mattress! I have slept comfortably since the first night.

As someone who has slept on a Tempurpedic for the last 7 years I tend to judge other mattress in comparison. I bought this as a second bed for my guest room and have slept in it for the last week. The top layer takes some getting used to but once you do it's totally worth it. I feel as though my back is supported and I have no problem getting comfortable. I'm sure my guests will agree that it's an awesome mattress. I may have a problem getting the MIL to leave!!!

I love it!!! What a game changer! All the pressure points have disappeared, my back actually feels good in the morning when i wake up. It's definitely different than any mattress I've been on. I don't really notice the grid-like pattern when I'm on it which is good. I think it does an awesome job at absorbing pressure and movement. I'm the only one sleeping on it so i cant provide any review if a partner's movement can be noticed or not though. Overall love it a bunch! I would say give it a couple of nights to a week to kind of "break it in" and adjust with it, and then you'll probably never want to sleep on anything else but this mattress
