I had been having a lot of problems sleeping and waking up extremely tired. I finally decided to get a new mattress to see if it would help. I should have made this purchase a long time ago. The purple mattress and purple pillow have been amazing. I wake up feeling rested and without problems it's very wonderful. I would definitely purchase this mattress again in the future. I didnt know how much of a difference a good mattress and a good pillow could make to my life.

I love this bed! It definitely lives up to its reputation. It is much more supportive than our other mattresses. The only recommendation that I have is to have an option for a thicker purple topper. I have severe shoulder and hip pain and the thinner top is good but a thicker one would ease my discomfort more.

We bought the Purple mattress with high hopes, the week prior to the release of the new Purple 2,3, and 4. We've had or slept on many different types of mattress over the years and none has worked for us. We visited the Purple factory where there is a small show room and tried out a very well used demo bed, and decided to take a chance. Now, three months later, with our own Purple mattress, we decided it isn't for us. It is just to firm and doesn't provide enough give to relieve the pressure on my bones and joints. It is a little too supportive. So, the trek back to the Purple store, where the Purple 3 seemed like just the thing. Not to firm, not to soft. Just right. I made a phone call to return our original Purple mattress and to exchange it for the much more expensive Purple 3. The Customer service people I've talked to have been pleasant and very kind on the phone. They happily emailed me instructions on how to accomplish my exchange. In reading through them, I came to a troubling note at the bottom. It says, " ANOTHER NOTE: You have 100 calendar days to exchange your Purple® mattress from the date of delivery through the comfort trial. The second mattress is ineligible for any comfort trial or exchange." I called customer service back to clarify that last sentence, and was told that indeed, there is no 100 night trial on the Purple 3 mattress should I exchange for it. Here is where the tale comes to a very sad and frustrating end. I can try one bed for 100 nights, but if it doesn't work, I have to buy outright the second, much more expensive bed. Somehow, this doesn't seem right. I understand that there are those out there who just try to work the system. I just want a good night's sleep. I guess Purple is not for me after all.

We test drove a Purple hybrid mattress at our son's home for 12 days while house and pet sitting when our son and wife were on their honeymoon. I told my husband, "there's no turning back" after sleeping on this purple mattress and when we returned home I immediately ordered our new Purple hybrid mattress. What I love about it is that I don't toss and turn all night, my hip pain has disappeared, it is cool to sleep on and provides just the right amount of support while feeling like you are sleeping on air. I have even convinced several of my friends to buy a Purple mattress since purchasing our own. It is well worth the money...hands down!

My husband and I have been having neck, shoulder, and back issues for a couple years. He finally suggested we get a new bed to try and fix the issues since we had tried other ways. Within a week my neck and back pain went away, I longer had to have a doctor realign my neck, shoulders, ribs, and spin. We should have bought this bed before now.

I had a problem with my purple mattress purchased less than 10 years prior, it was not as firm where I slept. The Purple staff asked for pictures, gave me suggestions how to capture the issue best in pictures. Upon review of my claim, Purple sent me a replacement free of charge. Try that with an old time mattress company and they will find every reason to reject your claim. Purple upgraded their construction methods since my first purchase, I expect this new mattress to last a long time. READ the warranty conditions and follow them when you set your new mattress up.

I was one of the early adopters, went for the purple mattress when it was just coming out as a product line. Having had recurring back problems for years, I had gone through various mattress "adventures" . . . and then saw the purple. Very reasonably priced for what it was, I decided to take a chance with one. Could not be happier. For the first time in years, I could actually sleep without having to deal with annoying back pains. A rare example of a product actually working exactly as the advertisements claimed it would . . . what a concept.

The title of my review says it all. I've owned much more expensive mattresses...I've stayed in some top-notch 4 & 5 star hotels all over the world--and although a few of the beds in the very best of hotels were pretty darn comfortable--nothing quite compares to this Purple Mattress. The hype is real. The technology is real. The deep sleep I'm experiencing is real. Oh and my wife loves it too...so, that's all that really matters.

I'm a fairly large (230 lbs, 6') side sleeper and I've often found myself getting hot at night. My wife and I had a pretty nice king mattress that was coils and medium firmness. We slept on it for 8 years and it was pretty nice. But it became misshapen, shrunken, and a little lumpy. When I started looking for a new one I was thinking memory foam to help with my pressure points (shoulders and hips). I decided to spend a little extra for something that promised to sleep cool as well. Purple was the only mattress that people consistently noted as sleeping cool. The squishy grid not only provides that cool but also helps with those pressure points and adds a little bounce to the bed. I've slept on pure memory foam and it is more work to move for shifting positions and getting up out of bed. The squishy grid's bounce helps with that as well. We've slept on this Purple (the original) mattress for about a month now and it is excellent. We didn't need an adjustment period, but that may be because our previous bed was a similar firmness. The Purple is definitely easier on my joints though. So even on night 1 I slept better than I had in a long time. I can't speak much to longevity, but I'm optimistic the build quality will get us a reasonable amount of years sleeping very comfortably.

The best mattress we have ever slept on in our lives. My husband and i both suffer from back problems and my husband also shoulder pain but getting the purple mattress has changed both our lives. We sleep more longer and painless when we wake up we are so much happier people.
