It seems like an oxymoron to call a mattress soft and supportive. Usually I would only get one or the other. Bonus, no more night sweats!!! Not sure why we waited as long as we did to get a purple mattress but it is hands down the best investment in sleep!!

This bed is hard to explain. But short and simple, it's the best bed I've had. I've spent thousands on a mattress before and it comes no where near the Purple. I'm one to research EVERYTHING and I was skeptical buying it online without trying it. But the reviews speak for themselves. It's amazing. The fiancé and I are extremely happy.

I am a retired RN and have lifted and turned so may people over the years resulting in chronic low back problems.My back pain has greatly been reduced since sleeping on this mattress. It gives great support without the pressure on my shoulders. I highly recommend Purple!

Good in the beginning but it didn't last The mattress has collapsed whet we lay it's like sleeping in a deep dip, or valley it on both sides where my wife and I lay. And now after 2 years we're once again in the market for a new mattress. Very disappointed it didn't last. The center of the bed is perky and fine.

The mattress is suppose to cradle your pressure points. Right? Then why does mine not even begin to even form to me when I am even sitting on it? I weigh about 245 lbs and I feel as though I'm laying on a squishier version of particle board. I will keep it since that is the only mattress I have. I may just need time to get use to it. just as FYI.

I have had my purple 4 about a month now. I had been looking for a new bed for quite some time due to waking up with shoulder and arm pain every morning. I just couldn't bring myself to buy a bed on line. without trying one out somewhere. The whole bed in a bag was a bit much for me to buy into. I had spend so much time researching new beds--and then one day while driving past a Mattress Firm-store in Arizona-there was a huge sign saying they had the purple beds. My car turned right in right then. They had all of the beds on display to try. I bought the purple 4, which came with 2 purple pillows, and also bought the mattress cover and sheets. Mattress Firm had free adjustable frames with mattress purchases and I got one of those also. Free delivery of everything came in a few days and the delivery guys set everything up. I find the bed interesting. It feels strange if you run your hand over it but feels like heaven when you lay down. It certainly did not take me anytime to know this bed is staying. I love it. I can sleep on my back, sides, and even stomach in comfort. My shoulder pain and arm pain and numbness has vanished. I rave about it to everyone--all those people who can tell and comment on how rested I look. Two co-workers have now also bought purple mattresses and pillows from Mattress fFrm also, an original and a purple 2. I have had every kind of pillow imaginable and none compare to these purple pillows. They are perfect for me. Mattress pad and sheets feel great. We are adding three bedrooms onto the house and I am sure we will be ordering new purple beds for our grandkids and their parents. I find myself scared to travel now because I can't take this bed with me and I know how horrible beds are in so many places. The price for the 4 was high but when you realize you spend 1/3 of each day approximately in bed I want my bed to be something that makes me feel great not something that actually makes me hurt. The quality of life that one gets from sleeping well--is priceless. Those of you who sleep with pain or can't sleep give it a try--you have nothing to lose

The mattress had numerous depressions, but with time they have gone away. Still getting use to the feel. It feels like from my knees down do not get support; almost like they float above the surface of the mattress. My wife and I will give it a couple more weeks. The sheets, mattress protector, and base are great products.

I have to admit I am a bed snob. As my husband likes to remind me, he can sleep anywhere and be fine, I am the picky one. I hate waking up with a back ache and I have for most of my adult life. I've had many types of beds and some days/nights are better then others. So, when we needed a new bed we bought the purple bed. My thoughts.... the purple bed does sleep cool which is huge for my pre-menopausal night sweats. There is a transition period which I just don't understand, but as time has gone by I am more pleased with our purchase. I read several reviews that talked about shoulders going numb. I also experienced that as well. However, it has seemed to stop. I hope it doesn't return as it was a very strange sensation and not one I have experienced before. All in all I am very happy with this bed. But it has only been a month. Give me the full 100 days before I completely jump on the band wagon.

Im well into my third week with the mattress and unfortunately its not working out for me. The bed feels comfortable when you lay down alone however with my partner and I both in the bed, you can feel every movement which is rough considering were both tossing and turning all night. We wake up with back pains and many nights end up on the couch half way through the night. We were really looking forward to this new mattress.

My wife and I are different sizes. I'm 250 and she's 125. We bought the mattress mostly on the premise that it was cooling, doesn't transfer motion from each partner and has good support. For each of us, the mattress is too hard. We have stretchy sheets, but I'm afraid that it just hasn't been a great experience. Given that we spend 1/3 of our life on a mattress, that's what I'm looking for. After nearly 100 nights, we'll be returning the mattress. Thanks for the trial and making it so easy to return.
