We have slept on a VERY firm mattress for years and were waking up sore. The Purple mattress was more firm than I expected, but when we woke up after our first night on it, we were not sore. We have been sleeping on it for about two months and are happy with our purchase. We also got the Purple Platform and we like that too--it really doesn't squeak, which was the main reason we bought it.

It's hard to give a review after only a few weeks, but in general my back/lower back feels much better on the purple mattress. I'm still waking up stiff, but in a different manner and it feels corrective. Sleeping longer throughout the night. It's been an improvement from a normal spring mattress, for sure...

We have had the mattress for three weeks now. I work nights and sleeping through the day isn't easy but this mattress makes it possible. I no longer sweat no matter how high my wife has the heat. For a couple that are polar opposites when it comes to firmness, and for people who sleep in different positions my wife and I can both honestly say this mattress is great. The motion transfer is almost nonexistent and I don't even feel when she comes to bed before I wake up. It was definitely the best choice for us.

The Purple bed is comfortable and firm. At first, we thought it was just another temper pedic but it really does push back and remain firm. The 4 star rating is because the delivery was not within web site timeframe due to a factory issue We feel in the future, we will replace any existing mattresses with Purple.

At first I loved my bed and thought it was the greatest thing I've ever slept on but now we are reaching the two year mark and it feels like I'm sleeping in a ditch. To look at the mattress, it looks perfectly flat but if I'm not in the exact right place I feel like I'm slanted on the side of a ditch. Good news is I live in a hot climate and the mattress doesn't heat me up at night and I do love the pillow. Everything else is a busy. I'm really disappointed because I had high hopes for this mattress.

My partner loved this mattress; he is a back and stomach sleeper. I hated it and I don't understand how other side sleepers are giving this positive reviews. I would wake up throughout the night with shoulder pain or my arms numb. I rated this a three because while I did not like the mattress, he loved it and is bummed that we are returning it.

I bought a single size for my sister who has terminal cancer and is in an adjustable hospital bed. She has lost a lot of weight and her backbone is really exposed. She has had back pain for awhile and I didn't know it was the mattress until recently. The first day on this mattress she was immediately comfortable and kept saying how wonderful it felt. Other family members laid on it too and now they all want one like hers. Her daughter plans to buy a purple mattress soon. A Medical Assistant who came to visit is going to recommend to his hospice facility to look into buying some of these mattresses for cases like my sister. I am so grateful to Purple Mattress for making such a quality product so my sister can spend her remaining time in comfort. Thank You!!

My husband is a stomach sleeper and i am a side sleeper and we both are in love with the Purple mattress! We slept on a memory foam mattress for 2 years and it was too firm for us. The first week of sleeping on the purple mattress we woke up before our alarm a few times because we had gotten such quality sleep we weren't tired anymore! That's saying a lot for us!

The comfort is as advertised. I have no complaints there. When we unrolled the mattress, one corner was dented in. I hope it will expand with time. I also wish the whole thing would lengthen. Right now it is a few inches too short for the bed frame, and the fitted sheets seem loose.

The first couple weeks after getting our Purple, I found even excuse to spend time on the bed. It's so comfortable. My husband has had relief for his back issues, and I have much less neck irritation than ever before. My only issue is that the surface under your Purple must be flat, or you will still have lumps. Our box springs need replacing, but when we get those sorted out our sleeping experience will just be that much more glorious! I will also note -- the first night, the bed was bizarrely cold. After it had time to get to room temperature, that was no longer an issue. The only time I struggle with temperature now is when I use too many blankets (oops?) I appreciate that the prices are so much lower than a conventional mattress store. Customer service was quick and kind, even in the midst of a flurry of orders. I think my husband and I would both recommend a Purple to anyone in a heartbeat. Purple lives up to its claims!
