I was really hoping this would live up to my expectations but unfortunately I have been waking up with a sore back everyday. While the top layer conforms pretty well it just gets to firm. If you took the top layer alone and put it on the floor that would be the best comparison.

With the purple mattress and harmony pillow I'm sleeping better than ever, took a few nights to keep from waking up after 3-4 hours fully rested. Standing on my feet for 8-10 hours a day doesn't effect my sleep anymore since I'm not turning in my sleep all night. I'd recommend the purple beds If you are looking for a new bed, I know the price can make you look elsewhere but the purple mesh is well worth the little price bump over normal memory foam beds that start sagging after a few weeks to months depending on body weight and if you stay in the same location each and every time.

So far so good. The mattress has helped with a lot of back issues both and my husband have. We were both surprised of how heavy the rolled mattress was. Thank goodness our nephew was able to heft it up a flight of stairs. I have one recommendation...place the cutter in a more visible area. We had to cut it open using a knife and the found the cutter inside.. we also purchased a seat cushion which wasn't as helpful. After using it, something about the shape and size caused an imbalance, aggravating the sciatic nerve. We had to stop using it. Everything else is ok. Thank you.....

My wife and i love the Purple Mattress. We intend to purchase the 4" version once the current one gets old enough. Which by the way will probably be forever as the mattress we have now is 5 years old and still feels the same as it did from day one. I have the Purple Harmony Pillow on the way in the mail and we already own a Purple seat cushion sent to us free because shipping on the WONDERFUL purple bed frame was taking forever. (Not Purples Fault) I also own a back cushion. Have never been disappointed by any of the products or service. We actually first ordered our Purple Mattress as a queen size and realized we would rather a king. Purple said keep the queen and just pay the difference for the king. So essentially we got a queen mattress for free. The company and their products are definitely worth the 100 days and once you try that you will love them for life.

I recommend this mattress to anyone in need of a new one. I did a lot of research and read hundreds of reviews, and decided we should give it a shot. So far, we have loved it! We've only had it for a little over a month, but it has changed our sleep. Give it a shot!

We purchased the bed and knew the first night it wasn't for us. It caused back pain and nights were I slept an hour or so at a time. It was so soft, i felt myself sink into it and almost through it. We bought the base and it had some really hard hooks. The bed was good for side sleepers but just not for me. The people who say it is firm must be talking about a different bed. Spouse snd i are 175 and 165 lbs and both 6 ft tall. The customer service people were nice about it and took it back.

So basically: 100% worth it. I had pretty awful sleep issues, from grinding my teeth at night to just incessant tossing and turning due to numbness from my sleeping position and pressure in my back and neck. I liked to sleep on my belly to compensate for the discomfort, but having to turn my neck to breathe put my shoulders and neck out of place, causing me to wake up with a stiff neck, jaw, and back almost every morning. When I first got the bed, I couldn't fall asleep! I was like half excited half in disbelief at the way my body felt...like I had less weight, almost no gravity or something. I don't really know but NOW, folks you heard it here, its the BEST NIGHTS' SLEEPS YOU'LL NEVER REGRET HAVING. I can't imagine going back to something that isn't that magical polymer. So happy with my purchase. I say good only because I'm so broke I can't buy from you again in the near future (I bought pretty much e'rythang ya need; bed, foundation, sheets, pillow), and because I didn't measure myself before buying and I'm taller than the mattress so I'm kinda just like a hot dog on a cuddly bun that's just a lil too short. Still happy tho. I'm a happy dog.

I expected this to be great. What we got was just an average. When we read the reviews I didn't read the good reviews I read all of the bad reviews. The one constant that I saw was about people who are over weight. Both my husband and I are over weight and for us it's not the best in the world. I still wake up sore just not as much as I was before we bought the mattress. Yes, we followed the instructions and use the purple sheets it just still is not great comfort wise. It is not something I will send back because of all the reviews I read it is horrible to try to send back and you don't actually get to send it back you have to donate it and have proof that you did before they will refund your money and for us it just is not worth the hassle. The one thing I can say that was as we expected it to be was cool. When you put the purple sheets with the mattress it is very cool which is great. If I had to guess I would say this mattress is amazing for people that are not over weight like my husband and I and then would be worth the money. My husband is a combination sleeper and I am a side sleeper.

I must've spent a good 200+ hours online comparing and watching review videos of different web-ordered mattresses. My research always lead me back to Purple at the end of each session. I've slept on the mattress for roughly 2 months now. It has changed my life and increased my quality of sleep a hundred fold. Purple strikes the most beautiful balance between soft (like a cloud) and supportive (sink when you need it to, firm support once weight is distributed.) And it is very coo and airy. Top attributes of the Purple mattress for me: 1. Best balance between soft comfort and supportiveness. 2. It sleeps very cool with excellent airflow. One of the coolest around. 3. Very quick form-fitting response. It is a decently bouncy mattress, unlike the laggy, weird behavior that fancy memory foam mattresses have. This makes changing positions throughout the night very comfortable. 4. Customer service is excellent. I had to exchange sizes and the support staff is prompt, friendly and very helpful. After inheriting an expensive, insanely firm pocket-spring mattress from my parents for 6 years, my anterior mobility (inside the shoulders) is harshly compromised because I'm mainly a side-sleeper. Purple has already helped me so so much in my physical training and overall mobility. My sleep quality is up by a significant amount. Minor gripes: It's a heavy mattress. Unpackaging and positioning it all by myself (got a King-sized one) definitely worked up a sweat. Ask a friend or two to help will make your life easier. At first, some people might not be used to feeling the grid support structure on their body slightly. I have to say, it was not an issue for me at all. I got very used to it very quickly, even just the first night sleeping on the mattress. I also definitely recommend their sheets, which is extremely elastic with very good airflow. I love your product Purple. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a KING-SIZED Purple Pillow. I am definitely not the first one to ask for one, I've already seen multiple reviewers asking the same thing. The pillow just pairs TOO WELL with your bed, but we NEED the extra width to roll around comfortably. PLEASE consider selling Queen and KING-sized PURPLE pillow. Thank you. Love it, got it, is probably gonna pick up another one for the guest room. You won't regret it.

I have had the bed for just over a year, and have had neck, back and hip issues for quite a few years. I was recommended by a friend to get the purple mattress. At first, it seemed like it made everything worse and then better. But now, I can't even sleep in it because my hips hurt more than they ever have. I don't think it has enough support or is too hard for those with chronic hip/sciatic pain. Not very pleased due to me having it for over a year and now I'm stuck with it.
