After previously purchasing two of your chair cushions, I figured why not try the mattress. My husband is a paraplegic and if the mattress is too soft it's hard for him to transfer on and off. While the Purple mattress seems to be soft to the touch, laying on it proved otherwise. It was neither too firm nor too soft. We've only had it for a couple of weeks but can already tell how much better we sleep!

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered my purple mattress. I went on reviews alone. But I am happy to say, I love my new mattress! It is much better than anything I have slept on. I fall asleep in about 10min. My old bed i fell asleep in about 20-30min. I sleep mainly on my side and sometimes on my back. I have had no trouble sleeping in any position. I would recommend the purple mattress to anyone.

The mattress works great for anyone sleeping on their back or stomach since there's excellent weight distribution. I sleep on my side, and my shoulders are a little wider than my hips, so I sink right through the comfy soft layer and rest on the firm layer. That means I end up with a sore shoulder from the pressure frequently, or I end up with a sore back if I twist my spine to take pressure off my shoulder. My wife loves the mattress, though, and that's the most important thing.

I'm 5'7", just under 200#, side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. My wife, 5'8", a lady doesn't tell (my guess is 130#), side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. The previous mattress was old and in a dire need to be replaced. So far, two weeks in, my wife is loving it and I'm loving it. I was very hesitant at first, did research on 'bed in boxes' for about 3 years (yeah) and the final purchase came down to this and the Brooklyn Mattress. We pulled the trigger on this one and I'm glad we did. FedEx did have some challenges delivering but there was also some snow storms going on at the time. It finally arrived two days later than expected (had to sleep on the couch those two days as the wife and I moved the old mattress out into the garage the morning we thought we were originally getting but can't blame Purple for FedEx). It's a king so moving it was somewhat of a challenge but my wife and I handled it, no problems. Unpacking wasn't a challenge either, however we didn't get the blade they talked about either but made do with a scissors. Unrolling onto the new bedframe we purchased for this mattress was also relatively easy although I think I was more frustrated than my wife for a couple brief moments. I just wanted to lay down. No strong odor, which my wife would have called shenanigans on due to her extremely strong sense of smell, so that was a relief. The mattress seems firm, which would have been another deal breaker for my wife, but after you lay on it, it's like freaking awesome. I have zero problems going to sleep now and waking up I have much less problems with my back pain. I did upgrade my pillow to a different brand pillow and that also helped with my neck pain. My wife's back pains still persist however she claims her neck pains are not as bad and her back pain is not as bad. If there is any negative, it's that my wife says it is a bit chilly - we sleep at 62 degrees at night in southern WI so the trick is layers. She remedied her cold body to using her body pillow again, which she normally uses any ways. I think if threw some flannel sheets on in the winter, she would also be fine. This mattress will be total heaven in the hot, humid days of summer. Overall, would recommend and will probably buy a new one since it does sleep cooler and we have a daughter that sleeps very warm and I'm sure she would love this mattress for the hot summer days ahead.

I am more of a side sleeper and I am always hot. I love the fact I am not sleeping hot anymore. Has helped my back issues some. (mine are complicated) so I don't expect 100% relief but it is better now than on the other mattress I had. Been on it for a few weeks and I do love it. Thank you purple.

Great mattress. Back feels better. It's very comfortable! So far it's been worth every penny. Some of my friends layed on it for a few minutes and thought it was very comfortable. I will definitely recommend purple to anyone I know looking to buy a new mattress!

Previously we had owned a generic memory foam mattress which had developed sink holes after only five years. I was very skeptical at first, but what a difference a new purple mattress made! After the first night of sleep our lower back pain was gone and so were our aches and pains. Comfort Concierge Sharry.B provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. We highly recommend all the purple mattress and products.

This is the 4th memory foam mattress I have owned since 2006 (when I move long distances, I tend to sell them and buy new in my new location). My previous 3 were very supportive, but in summer months, definitely did get warm - and I lived in Montana. I knew I needed something different when I was moving to Florida. I researched mattresses based on 'coolness' and Purple came to the top of every list. I thought even if it is half as hot, I will still be happy with it. It is NOT hot, AT ALL. I have had it for 6 weeks now, in the summer, in Florida, and I am totally comfortable on it. The support is fantastic (feels like a med-firm, due to the unique top), but the fact that I am so comfortable, temperature-wise, is amazing. When I am happy with a purchase, I don't usually write a review. But I am ecstatic with this mattress - thanks Purple!!

I really don't know how to explain this mattress, but it's unlike any mattress I've ever owned. I have a lot of back and hip problems and I always wake up in pain and of course very stiff. This is my third mattress in 5 years and probably my last. This mattress is so squishy and soft I literally can't wait to go to bed! My back and hips feel so much better and I move a lot less throughout the night than with any other mattresses I've ever had. It forms to your body and any pressure points. And just for context I sleep in every position (stomach, back and side) and it is comfortable in everyone of those positions. All and all I am in love.

I sleep on my stomach with a very soft down pillow. My husband is a back and side sleeper. I weigh 135, he weighs 200. I love this bed. I used to wake up sore and sweating. It took me a week to adjuat, but my body feels so much more rested. My husband isn't too picky but does get overheated easily. The air pockets definitely help. We did have to purchase a new pillow for him though because of the way his body aligns I'm this bed, he needed a firmer pillow to support him in contrast to our other spring matresses. We use a box spring under our matresses and it supports it's weight well. The matresses protector is my favorite and I will be purchasing one for every bed in our home.
