I bought this mattress a couple of months ago and have been very happy with it. It feels soft but firm at the same time, and I feel like my body is supported by it. I bought it because I had been having muscle spasms in my upper back and thought having a better mattress would help. Between the mattress and regular chiropractic/massage appointments my back has gotten MUCH better. I've read a lot of reviews that say that you'll need to buy stretchy sheets (the purple brand or jersey sheets), but I've been happy using my regular, not-so-stretchy sheets. The mattress did have a chemical smell when it first arrived, but that dissipated after a few days.

My wife and I have enjoyed a plush pillowtop mattress for over 10 years and now in our older years our backs do not agree. After simply purchasing a new plush pillowtop, thinking the age of our old mattress was the problem, we were still having issues. We did our research and agreed to give Purple a shot! I am glad we did, our mornings are so much more enjoyable without lower back pain, and the mattress is the perfect blend of plush with the firm support we needed! I highly recommend Purple!!!

Our sales lady, Kaeli, was awesome. She asked us what we wanted and how we sleep and pointed us to the perfect bed. We ordered the 4-inch mattress and we love it. It's comfy, cozy, and we don't wake up aching all over like we did with our old bed. Purple heaven!

We have been through so many mattresses through the years this one by far is the best my husband needs firm I need soft it hurt my back the first week I thought we were going to have to return it but after the first week I wouldn't have any other bed I love it we just bought our kids their mattress because they were used to sleeping on ours and we couldn't get them to sleep on any other now they sleep all night on their new purple mattress

After years of using hand-me-down mattresses I finally decided to buy the purple mattress that I've been eyeballing for months. I kid you not I always spent my nights tossing and turning and never slept longer than 4 hours at a time but since I broke that mattress in I haven't woke up a single time and I've become a sleep-dropper. Literally life changing :)

I had been experiencing some lower back issues and knew that my mattress was a likely culprit in my inability to get better. I haven't upgraded my mattress in quite some time, and I knew that I needed to make a change soon. I consider myself a frequent online shopper, but there are some things I hesitate to buy online if I can't try it out in person. A mattress was on that list. Cue: Purple marketing. I came across a Purple ad on Facebook about a year prior, and ever since then, I considered myself obsessed (yep, you got me). The marketing was cute and very creative, but I was trying to not let that influence my practical side. Did I really want to spend that much on a mattress that I couldn't even try out in person? I know it came with a 100 night trial, but who wants to go through buying a mattress, trying it out, dealing with its heftiness, and returning it. Not me. So after much research - reading online reviews, watching too many videos to name, and comparing pros and cons against other mattresses, AND an incident that left me with a couple of pinched nerves, I went for it. I bought the queen purple mattress (although, I wish I would have gotten the king), as well as the associated platform frame. The process to purchase was so incredibly easy, and the updates I received on shipping and tracking were fantastic. I am going to be honest, the day it arrived, I had very high expectations. I was expecting it to completely change my life. Not only was it going to make my back feel better, I was going to sleep cooler and not feel anything when my partner turned over. It may as well have been made of gold, as far as I was concerned. Well, I have to say that after a month and a half, my expectations (for the most part) are still being met. Since I did so much research, I knew that people were a little surprised at how thin the mattress is. This did not bother me at all - I love that it supports me and I can sleep in any position without any body part falling asleep. I used to be a side sleeper 100%. Now, I can sleep on my back, on my side, and on my stomach without any issues. While I would like to think that it solved my back issues, I think my chiropractor helped; however, I do notice that my pain comes back slightly if I sleep on another mattress. So Purple for the win in helping keep my chiropractor bills at a reasonable amount! I definitely sleep cooler, which is great. My body temp runs pretty high on a regular basis, so to stay cool and not wake up all sweaty is amazing. I can still feel my partner move, but I think it is because we got the queen instead of the king. However, we don't move as much in our sleep anymore because we are sleeping a lot better than we used to. I definitely won't be returning the Purple mattress and hope to one day have one in every room of my house. I am even trying to convince family members of my awesome sleep state these days. I am thankful that the creative marketing got me hooked, and for once, I would say that this marketing doesn't lead you on. Purple delivers on exactly what they say they deliver on. So if you are questioning your decision, trust me - it really will change your life...at least while you sleep.

The Purple Mattress arrived quickly and was easy to setup. I ordered it because my previous memory foam bed was old and sagging. Everyday my wife and I woke up with aches and pains. Every night we cried ourselves to sleep. My wife sleeps on her side and I on my back. I can tell you with joy and excitement that we no longer have those aches and pains. In fact, we jump straight out of bed in the morning feeling rested and full of vigor. Along with The Purple Mattress, we received The Purple Seat Cushion for free. I use it when I'm at my computer or driving. I love it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the mattress and seat cushion. THANKS PURPLE !!

We have slept 6 nights on our new Purple mattress and are pretty surprised! We had no idea how this new-fangled mattress would work... My husband likes a firm mattress and I prefer a softer form of comfort and sleep very hot. Low and behold... purple is BOTH AND COOL! He always suffered from neck and back pains and has noticed he has none of those symptoms now... Really, really-in just 6 days? I cannot believe how supportive but cradling this mattress has been for my body and I am not hot at all! We also have a Simple cushion and had a Royal cushion, but returned the Royal cushion; only because the Simple is high enough for both of us! Our replacement Simple should be coming back to us soon and we can't wait! Next, I believe I will be trying the new Purple bed pillow.... It is truly amazing that this polymer material works so well for support and resilience in returning to its original shape-almost unbelievable! And, that it sleeps cool too is totally my dream come true! We are Purple believers now! Totally purchase this mattress and its sibling items! You will not be disappointed.

The mattress is really comfortable but it does take a little getting used to. It is firm but squishy. Now I know that sounds bizarre, but it's the best way I can describe it. It is super heavy so don't open it (it takes 2 people to handle this!) till you get it to your bedroom. If you are used to a pillow-top mattress, this is definitely a different feel. Having said that, I was having trouble with my shoulders sleeping on our old worn out pillow-top as I am a side sleeper and am surprised at how comfy this is for me. It did take about a week to adjust to the difference in this compared to our old one, but now when I go to bed I immediately relax into the bed without feeling like I'm sleeping in a trench like I was in our old bed. My shoulders are actually starting to feel a bit better too. The only complaint I have and it has nothing to do with the comfort of the mattress is that we also ordered the frame and it took FOREVER to get here so since the mattress came fairly quickly I had this big purple tootsie roll in my foyer for about a month! I think if you are ordering the mattress with the frame they should ship them out at the same time, because trust me, you don't want to handle the mattress but one time! (the really nice lady I spoke with on the phone when inquiring as to when my frame would arrive suggested we could use our mattress on the floor till our frame arrived. If we were 40 years younger we maybe would've given it a shot, but at our age it didn't seem like such a good idea so we waited on the frame to come in! Lol!)

Spent the last year and a half in Thailand, and sold my first purple before I left. I wanted to bring one with me but it was not feasible. I returned because of Covid in March and went to months on bad mattresses before I bought another purple. Within two days my aches and pains were gone. It's nice to be back in my nest again.
