After many back surgeries and a very bad accident that broke bones, elbow, and shoulder, and two hips being replacements, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep, until I got a purple mattress. It is heavenly. Was so good that I bought one for my camper, and another for my guest bedroom.

After 6 months of excruciating sciatica and lower back pain, I can't believe that after just a couple of weeks that I feel and am sleeping so much better. I typically have tossed and turned throughout the night and would be sore when I got up in the morning. Now I am only maybe rolling over once all night long and when I wake up I am just wanting to lay in bed and relax a little longer. Best nights sleep I have gotten in the past 10+ years!!

My boyfriend and I compete in track and field at the collegiate level and are prone to injury. He has severe back problems and I have hip problems due to competing in the hurdles. We have never slept so well on a mattress. Both of our back pain is beginning to go away and sleeping on the purple pillows has helped with the stiffness he gets in his neck. The sheets are the softest fabric I've ever slept on. We also cannot sleep if we get too hot but since we have gotten this mattress we have not had any issues waking up in a sweat or tossing and turning from being uncomfortably hot because of the cooling nature of the bed and pillows. Any back, neck, or shoulder pain that I had before is completely gone. I am thrilled with it. The only drawback is that I cannot sleep through the night and I do not understand why. Perhaps my body is very resistant to adjusting to something new. I have never had problems with sleeping soundly all night, but now I wake up 3-10 times each night, which is leaving me exhausted. This is the only reason why I haven't given 5 stars.

The mattress made my back and neck pain even worse. I was away for vacation and missed the return window by 5 days, I contacted customer service and they would not allow me to return the mattress. I would advise anyone that has any type of neck or back pain to stay away!!

The mattress is definitely a game changer, I'm a side sleeper and I run hot when I fall asleep, so the purple mattress is perfect for me in 2 ways one it's very comfortable to sleep on my side on this mattress and it does not hurt my shoulders or neck to sleep in this position all night and because the design I don't over heat even though the mattress supports my side sleeping position. Customer service is also very kind, proffesional and responsive when I've had the need to get in touch with them. We're still very happy with our purple mattress.

I got the king size mattress. So much space I love it. But the best part is I actually sleep now too. 2 years ago I was in a car accident that messed up my back and neck pretty good. Few herniations and bullying discs and what not. So it mad it hard to sleep pretty much in any position. The first night on the mattress it felt absolutley amazing. So amazing that I slept right through my alarm clock, for about the first 5 mornings. I can sleep on my back, side, and stomach without any issues now and I get a great nights sleep. I love it, coming from someone that is a horrible at sleeping haha.

My wife and I decided to try the Purple mattress when they still had just one version. About a week after we bought ours they launched a new offering of 3 mattress types. A week later they cut this to 2, so I am not sure they are really convinced what they want! As with many couples we need a middle ground; I would be happy sleeping in a rock, my wife needs pressure point relief. So the purple mattress concepts attempts better than most to address both pressure point relief and support. My wife is extremely happy with the mattress; I remain shocked still every night, now nearly 3 weeks on, as to how soft it feels at first. I sleep primarily on my back, and I wake up feeling fine, so I presume I am getting the support needed in my back. But I can say honestly that I still find the feeling of the mattress crazy soft. But I love traveling to China just to sleep on their mattresses, which are like wooden boards, so maybe I am not the best one to ask for an opinion. Two other comments, our king sized mattress does not have handles, and that is a huge negative; admittedly it is not something you move often, but if you need to do it once, without handles, it is really hard (remember as Purple likes to point out - it weighs 145 pounds!); so add some common sense to all the engineering know-how guys! Secondly, when you unroll it, it is upside down...it weighs 145 pounds, it is roughly;y 7 feet by 7 feet, and has NO HANDLES; not so easy to flip it. Another common-sense shortcoming. In summary, I think the jury is still out. I am very concerned about long term (3 year plus) durability resilience. It is a comfortable sleep, but I am hardly blown away by it. Time will be the real test. I can tell you that both my wife and dog are far more enthusiastic though than I, so that's a good thing. Last advice, follow your competitors and launch a doggy bed too.

My wife and I both have our own beds (twinXL) due to medical reasons. I have had both hips replaced and my wife has lower back problems plus vertebrae fusion. We have spent years trying to find mattresses that delivered a good night sleep and allowed us to get up in the mornings (without pain) and be able to walk like normal people. I decided to give the PURPLE mattress a try. After the first night I knew we were on to something. No pain in the morning and had good mobility. So, I told my wife to try it out the next night. It took me 5 nights of restless sleep in her "concrete bed" to get her to relent and give me my PURPLE mattress back. With one condition.....yep, you guessed it. I purchased her her own PURPLE mattress that very same day. She is eagerly awaiting its arrival. So far, I still sleep in mine but have agreed to share it if she wishes. Her new PURPLE MATTRESS cannot get here fast enough!! So, as the rating states, not only would I buy again... I DID!

Exactly what the title says, the first few days were uncomfortable. Then one day I got in and melted. It was so nice and it keep me warm but not over warm. Its heavy though, very, very heavy but so nice. I love my bed, worth saving up for months for it completely..
