Take my opinion with a grain of salt. I normally slept on futons, so my taste in mattresses is kind of meh. I'm not really a connoisseur of bedding. That being said, I sleep on my side and the full size mattress sleeps well. My cats enjoy sleeping on it as much as I do. Honestly, I could see myself buying another one. If I do, will probably get the 4" purple grid to see the differences.

We had ordered another brand of bed in a box mattress and it was way too firm for my husband and me. We ordered the purple and as soon as we laid on it we were in love! It is perfect for us (not too soft and not too firm) I am 145 lbs and my husband is 185. I have had really bad back/hip pain for about a year now and got a chiropractic membership. I was so pain free for the first month of using the purple that I totally forgot to use up my visits and go to the chiropractor!

The mattress was initially great. I started have back aches sleeping on the same side I always sleep on. Not sure but either the mattress wore where it no longer supports me as it should or a year of side sleeping on a mattress that is quite terrible for side sleeping is finally taking its toll. Could also be the purple pillows. They are not high enough for side sleeping.

I'm so glad I made this purchase! This mattress is amazing. We had just bought a mattress but it was way too soft and we both woke up with awful back pain. I saw your ads and knew right then we had to try it. I was so excited to get the bed and to truly feel it. It's been an awesome experience!

Delivery- good. Mattress and sheets arrived within a week. Setup- easy, just unroll and cut out of the plastic. A little heavy to take up the stairs myself so would recommend two people. Side Sleep- terrible. The mattress is too firm. On both my left and right my arm goes to sleep so I cannot sleep on my side. I am 6 feet and 250 pounds so maybe too heavy for this mattress. Stomach sleep- good but I prefer sleeping on my side. Temperature- It starts out cool but within about 2 to 3 hours wake up hot. The purple mesh just collapses down to the firm foam and it traps the heat. Maybe they need to use more of the purple mesh instead of a mostly foam mattress. My girlfriend has back pain from this mattress and she sleeps on her back. Plan to return this mattress when the 30 days are up. Just does not work for us. Maybe upgrade to the purple 3. We have a friend who has had the original purple mattress for a year and she loves this mattress, so we gave it a try. She is also tall and about 250 pounds so similar size to me.

As someone with 3'kids, high anxiety and a full time job where I stand on my feet all day, sleep didn't come easily for me. That is until I decided to treat myself to a Purple. My parents even tried to sway me saying it cost too much for just a mattress. But after a little over a month, my sleepless nights and back pain have made their exit... guess who decided to order themselves a Purple? :) amazing, totally worth the coin & the wait for this handcrafted specimen of magic. Get yourself a Purple!

I am not in the habit of writing reviews, but this mattress has impressed me so much that I felt I owe it to the Purple folks to share what I have learned. My partner and I are in our early sixties. She suffers from very progressed degenerative disc disease. I suffered numerous crush injuries (including a crushed pelvis) in a car accident thirty years ago. Obviously we have some aches and pains. We were in need of a new mattress. So I set about doing the research to find one that might actually give us a tiny bit of relief. If in fact a mattress could actually help that sort of thing. I was not a "believer" at that point. I read product descriptions and reviews until my eyes were crossed and I felt I had sufficient information to make my choice. Buying a mattress sight unseen and untested was a big sticking point, but I got past it and ordered the Original Purple Mattress/queen size. It arrived in a surprisingly short time and was put in place and in business. The first morning I asked my partner how she felt. With a bit of a puzzled look she said, "I honestly think my back feels a bit better than usual." That spoke volumes to me. She isn't the type to rush to judgement. I knew I had gotten out of bed and could immediately straighten up. That bordered on shocking, but I wasn't allowing myself to get excited. Over a week later, this morning I asked again. How do you feel? Could you rate this mattress on a scale of 1 to 10? With zero hesitation, she said, "12". SHE SAID "12"!!! Remember I said she isn't one to rush to judgement. Personally, I have gone from pain waking almost everytime I move, to sleeping 3 or 4 hours at a time. Nothing short of a gift from Heaven. There is another major bonus feature to this mattress. My partner, for years, has had wicked night sweats. That has been very much diminished. Another gift from Purple Heaven. So...while this is very early in our experience with the Original Purple Mattress, I/we could not be more impressed. Hopefully, our sleep will continue to improve and our pain decrease. I don't know what more one could ask of a mattress. In my opinion, I made the perfect choice of mattress for us and it was money well spent. Thank you Purple.

We bought a Queen size mattress 3 weeks ago. At first, although you notice an immediate difference when you first lay down, we didn't really notice much of a difference when waking up from our traditional mattress. However, they ask that you give the mattress at least 30 days to allow your body to "re-align". About halfway through the second week, I noticed no hip pain through the night and woke up with no hip pain. My husband does industrial construction and often has problems with back and leg pain. He will go to bed sore and wake up without pain unlike before. This is an amazing mattress and we will never waste money on a mattress again. This one is worth every penny. Looking forward to getting the sheets and the pillows next down the road.

We just used our warranty to upgrade to the newer version of the original purple mattress. It is even comfier than the first one! My husband and I are average weight people and the hyperelastic polymer really cradles all our pressure points. I sleep so comfortably that I don't even want to get out of bed.

Buy a purple! You won't regret it. Before my purple, I woke up several times during the night to use the restroom, now I sleep through the night. I don't know how or why, but this bed has made a huge difference in my life. I'm currently house sitting for friends, except I refuse to sleep there. They don't have purple beds, and once you go purple, you don't go back! Thank you purple!
