We've been on our purple for about 2 weeks now. It really is an outstanding mattress. Very comfortable. Very supportive. Stays much cooler than a traditional mattress. A vastly better experience than going to a mattress store. I'll recommend this mattress to everyone I can. Already convinced my parents to buy one. They love it too!

My husband and I have always bought and slept on traditional coil mattresses and box springs. It was a little leap of faith for us to purchase something very different from what we had become accustomed to. We have been sleeping on our new Purple mattress for three weeks now and we love it. It did take some getting used to but we have been sleeping deeper, waking up with less aches and pains, and I particularly have not been waking up on sweat soaked sheets from hot flashes and heat retention in the mattress. YES! I also have noticed a huge difference in my shoulders. I generally sleep on my side and for years I have suffered with pain in my shoulders from tendons and ligaments stretched in contorted positions on our previous mattress. Now I just sink down into a natural position and sleep unaffected. Thank you Purple for bringing back our sleep and sanity. Why didn't I try this earlier?

Average mattress a lot firmer than advertised. Major issue is the weight of the mattress-ridiculously heavy. Whatever bed you can get it to is where it will stay. Difficult to move when it's rolled up from the factory-can't imagine moving it after its unrolled. You will need 4 strong adults.

I've had the original matress for about a month now and for both my Significant other and Myself this is the best either of us has ever slept. Both of us suffer from back and knee pain and unlike other mattresses there simply are no uncomfortable pressure points from either the support material or one of us moving through the night.

Slept on a water mattress for 25 years before changing to a conventional mattress for the past 12 years. Always missed the uniform support of the waterbed, but not the lack of temperature control. The Purple Mattress provides that perfect support that we missed without waking up too hot. Just as advertised!

I suffer from chronic back and hip pain. This mattress has saved me from horribly painful mornings. I now don't have to worry about whether I will have feeling in my feet when they hit the floor. Best sleep I've had in my life and no more tossing and turning!

So I just upgraded to the plus model of purple. I asked before upgrading why such the difference in price for just 2 more inches in foam. I was told quality of foam, cost to make it and that it's less firm than the original purple. Okay I bit. I upgraded. This is the first time I am disappointed by purple. It is still a great bed but it doesn't feel any different from the original. In fact my original purple was heavier and seemed to have a more durable and thicker fabric encasing the mattress. It maybe and I mean in the ever slightest way a little softer than the original, but it is so miner that it is almost undetectable. I still will give 4 stars because it is a VERY comfortable bed. But to be honest I feel like I was scammed into upgrading and paying 900.00 more for the exact same mattress. It has definitely affected my view and perception of the purple company. I wish I would have just stayed with the original and not wasted 900.00. Bottom line for anyone wanting to choose between the original and the plus... I would just stick with the original as I don't not feel a difference.

After trying the Leesa mattress initially, I decided to give Purple a shot, just to make sure I settled with the best one. I'm so glad I traded out! My initial impression was positive-- it felt ready to sleep on immediately upon opening the packaging and had no chemical smell like I had noticed with Leesa. Lying down on it, it is noticeably more responsive and "springy". The Leesa memory foam was nice, but I sunk in more than I liked, and after laying on it for a while, my body heat seemed to soften it up even more. I like that Purple feels a bit firmer, while also cradling the body's pressure points-- just like the egg test videos! It sleeps cooler, also, and I haven't woken up hot once. I've been telling all my friends and family who have even remotely considered getting a new mattress about the Purple. 10/10 would buy again =).

Simply put, this mattress was not for me. As a stomach sleeper and a bit on the heavier side, it was just too soft and giving me lower back pain every morning even after a 30-day trial period. Having said that, I am giving Purple a 5-star rating because I believe that the materials used in this mattress were of exceptional quality and my wife actually did like it. On top of that, the company has been a breeze to work with and they stand by their 100-night trial for a refund. The way they handle refunds is also very commendable. I would still very much recommend this company and this mattress because everyone is different and it may just work for you.

While I've a week left on my 100 days, I've been torn between returning it, or hoping this will be compatable with an adjustable base, as I am not able to afford it at this time. It took a year to save for the mattress, and I love it, in all areas, compared to other mattresses. However, I feel the next layer when, my boney butt, or thin shoulders reach it. I've written many posts (about my night's on my back) on FB during the first 30 days, it was amazing how well I felt. Then my spinal condition improved, and I returned to sleeping on my side. My shoulder pain then returned. I am desperate for an adjustable base, and I wish you produced a model with an extra inch of the top layer. I trust it was researched, therefore I am keeping Purple! In another 90 days, I should be able to afford an adjustable base. I will possibly write a review, regarding it's ability to conform to that base. I also love my seat cushion! Thanks, Vinny
