I was going to wait longer to write a review as it's only been a month since I bought the original purple mattress but I can't wait. I've told all my friends and want to shout it from the rooftop. It's the best mattress I've ever had. I've read that you will either love the purple concept or hate it. I can't see how anyone could not like this. It's soft, supportive, firm and responsive all at the same time. And very cool or tempature nuetral. I'm a hot sleeper and memory foam is out of the question no matter what they say they have infused it with. They are just to hot. I'm a stomach and side sleeper. This mattress is great for any sleeping position. You will look forward to bedtime. I would like to try the purple 4 sometime as four inches of purple has to be amazing but I can tell you that the original purple is a very awesome mattress. Come join the purple. You won't regret it. This is the best mattress I have ever owned. Just wished I had bought one sooner than I did. Have had my share of back problems in the past and the Purple Mattress certainly helps address those problems. Getting a good night's sleep has never been easier!

When I got this mattress, I had pretty high hopes because the videos are so good. I was not disappointed. I was sleeping on a soft mattress and pretty much had to sleep on my stomach because it had no back support. That meant my neck was turned to the side all night, which was just awful. Now I can sleep on my back all night, with support and comfort. I recommend not using a mattress pad unless it is VERY elastic/stretchy. My normal mattress pad basically turns it into a normal hard mattress, which is no good.

Had the bed for about a month now 1st couple weeks was having back and neck pains I thought my body needed time to adjust to it but still having the same pains up until today and delivery took longer than expected had really high hopes about the hype but sadly it was a let down

My husband has had back problems all his life. Even sleeps with a c-pap. This bed has really been a blessing. We've had for about a month and my husband loves it. I'm still on the fence about it. I liked my caved in bed before. But I also can sleep anywhere. My husband is a back sleeper also and it's done wonders for his back. I can honestly say, so far, that the purple bed hasn't caved and we still have it on our old box springs. It's made for a platform bed for sure but will work with box springs also. It's a lot less thicker than a pillow top mattress and the only good out of that is that our down throw fits perfectly on the bed now. Take the chance on this matesss. You will not be disappointed.

We received our base first, which ended up being damaged (not sure if that was a FedEx issue or not), and the Purple folks gladly sent a replacement. Unfortunately that replacement was lost in the world of FedEx, so our Purple sat in its bag on our bedroom floor for two weeks before we finally received the replacement platform. The customer service folks at Purple were great. And now that we have slept on the Purple for a little over a week I can say my husband and I love it, and no longer wake up with aching backs. But, we did not like how low the platform base sits, nor the legs on the platform base, as we stubbed our toes on them repeatedly until I wrapped them in fabric. We built an additional wooden platform to sit atop the metal platform base from Purple, and now the height of the bed is perfect.

My husband loves the Purple Mattress, but it is quite a bit firmer than I expected. I don't know if I don't weigh enough or my hips are just too wide compared to the rest of me, but when I sleep on my side, it feels like my hips don't sink in so my spine sags. I am going to test out another mattress before making a final decision.

I bought one for my daughter and we both absolutely loved it! I would take a nap in her bed on my days off just to get a comfy and restful sleep. Now I have my own and love, love, LOVE it!! I do not wake up with any bodily pain or discomfort whatsoever anymore. I have an adjustable massaging base and that is heaven as well!! I'll definitely recommended purple to everybody and will buy more in the future!

My wife and I spent a lot of money on a gel mattress and we were very excited to get it home. I sank into it a lot and sweated out every night as it didn't breathe. Both of us would wake up with incredibly debilitating back aches. I would walk like a 90 year old for the first 30 minutes. Not to mention we would wake up in the middle of the night in pain. My wife wanted ANY new mattress to get relief and I saw the Purple ads on YouTube. So the marketing guys get 12 out of 10 - but I was nervous. SO we bit the bullet and ordered the mattress. The first night was heaven as I dozed in pure comfort. My wife and I now sleep 8-10 hours when we can and wake up refreshed and happy. No aches or pains! So the Rocket Scientist guys who designed the bed also 12 out of 10! I am seriously looking at the pillows now for us both! Thanks Purple - I'm happy, like Luke Skywalker at a Jedi Convention! WELL DONE!!!!!!

I had watched hundreds of reviews, and read even more articles describing Purple's mattress design. As soon as I laid down on the mattress for the first time, my lumbar began to stretch and relieve my back pain. I wake up feeling less sore and ready to actually leave my bed! I couldn't be happier with any mattress purchase.
