Got this for my 6 year old who. I often end up falling asleep with him and this bed is killer! We both had an amazing night sleep. I'll be ordering one for me and my wife next! Only downside is it's super heavy!!! Anything above a full size needs a couple people to set this up.

I've had my Purple mattress for a few weeks now and have to say that I'm impressed. It is very comfortable and has helped quite a bit with lower back pain that I had been experiencing due to my old mattress. I would absolutely recommend getting a Purple!

Omg! I suffer from back pain, knee pain and Trigeminal Neuralgia just to name a few, which get worse at night. And my husband suffers from back pain as well. Well who knew it was mostly our bed!? We switched to the purple mattress and what a difference it has made. While first it took adjustment time to get used to, and a chiropractic visit, the pain has lessened so much. On top of that I sink into beds hard, as I'm no small girl, but with the purple mattress I feel like I'm floating on air. My old mattress has now been banished to the spare room to torture my poor guests and is exhibit A in convincing them they need a purple mattress like mine! Yes I let the spend some quality time on Exhibit Beach aka The Purple.

We bought this mattress because of the free trial period...nothing worse than being stuck with a horrible mattress for years! If a company has an exceptional product their not afraid to offer you a great warranty. DON'T BE SCARED!!! Best mattress we have ever had.

My back still hurts a lot during my sleep, I have herniated disks, thought the mattress was going to help but not at all. It's been almost a month since we bought it so we're gonna give it more time. I do think it's better to have a no metal springs mattress.

I've had the mattress going on 5 months now.... I don't really like it for myself. My partner likes it. It's too firm for me, it makes my hips hurt. I'm a side sleeper and I hoped it would get better after giving it a few months but I really wish I didn't buy it. Trying to find a topper for it, to make it a little softer. ☹️

I'm a side, back and stomach sleeper and this mattress is wonderful. I don't hurt hardly at all waking up. My acid reflux doesn't act up when I am sleeping or just laying down. The only thing preventing me from giving them five stars is the shipping/delivery. You can track it but it's not accurate. It told me my mattress was about an hour or so away when it had actually already arrived. The main thing about the shipping is whoever delivered it just left it on the ground outside without ringing the doorbell and I don't even know how long it had actually been sitting outside. A mattress this expensive should need to be signed for or something. I was not very happy about that. Otherwise, this mattress is definitely worth it! My husband and I love it. I just ordered him a Purple pillow to see how we both like it before I order myself one. We don't have purple sheets but the ones we do have work well with this mattress though I do sweat when I get hot while sleeping. I'm thinking about ordering the purple sheets next year to see if that will make a difference. I highly recommend this mattress!!!

This mattress is so unique and so comfortable, it's truly changed the way I sleep. I go down for six hours and I wake up by myself for work, feeling like I got 8. When I sleep for longer, I don't wake up stiff in my shoulder anymore. I also received a free pillow with the mattress and it was also a surprise! It was odd, weighing 10 pounds and thinner than I was used to. I had seen reviews with it having an inflatable extension and was excited to use that feature, but mine came without. I've slept much better with the purple pillow but I have to say there was and still is an adjustment period with it. Who can argue with a free pillow though? My preference would just be to able to adjust the height of the pillow. We also purchased the platform for the bed and it is truly squeak proof and provides a really nice suspension of support. We are planning on purchasing the sheets and a pillow case for the new mattress, but I can honestly say this bed is excellent even in normal sheets.

I ended up having to return my king size Purple, sadly. First, the positive: customer service was excellent, and the mattress was cool and innovative and I could see how it would be awesome for perhaps someone younger and more fit/slim than myself or my husband. Night one with the mattress was good, we both felt appropriately supported, etc. But by day four or five, my husband - who is a big guy at 6'4" and a muscular 250 lbs - was sinking right through the entire mattress and sitting on the box spring when he got in bed to read at night. We did a Princess and the Pea test and I slipped my finger between the mattress and the box spring while he was sitting on the mattress..he could clearly feel it. Needless to say, sinking through to the box spring was not an ideal situation for him, so we had to return the mattress. The return process was easy, if a bit long. I've noticed a LOT of people have questions regarding the return process so I will detail it here: we contacted Purple by phone to tell them about our issues with the mattress and request a return. A few suggestions were made regarding ways in which we could mitigate the problem, but none of them would have fixed the primary issue, so Purple told us that we would receive an email with instruction for returning the mattress. The email came immediately and contained four options for returning the mattress (basically boiled down to find/contact a charity to which to donate the mattress oneself or have Purple do it for you). We chose to have Purple find a local charity which would accept the mattress. They found one in a few days' time, which was great, but unfortunately the charity could not retrieve the mattress for three weeks. We waited, the charity came and took the mattress and left us a receipt, which we emailed to Purple, and our full refund came within a few days. All in all, an easy transaction and Purple lived up to their promises, which we really appreciate. TLDR; I feel like the SmartComfort Grid is super cool, and has enormous potential, but that the mattress would benefit from having more HD memory foam or latex underneath the polymer layer. We tried it out, it didn't work for us, we returned it for a full refund. I'll keep an eye on this company and if they come out with a mattress with a deeper/more dense support layer underneath the grid, we might even try it again.

I was worried about a few things. 1 buying a bed online, 2 some reviewers mentioned a smell 3 not being able to test the bed out before buying it. Needless to say, I just pulled the trigger and was astounded to say the least. It has been a magical purchase. Would do again if I had need to.
