I slept on the Purple Queen mattress for a week and it was very uncomfortable. I tried it with a mattress cover and without one. I tried it with different type sheets. It did sleep cool and it is a unique feeling mattress but I did not enjoy it. I have a Purple pillow and a Purple seat cushion. The cushion is good, I use it. The pillow is not comfortable. I bought this mattress for my daughter who has Ankylosing Spondylitis. Her back hurts all the time and sleeping was becoming very difficult. Sleep is vital for all of us, but for people with auto-ammune diseases it is crucial. She and her husband have been thrilled with the results. Thank you for this amazing mattress. I would highly recommend this mattress. On my first night I felt the difference. I used to have back pain from my old mattress so I went ahead and bought the purple mattress. My back pain went away. I love my mattress and so glad I decided to get. The purple sheets are so soft and breathable. I used to get hot and sweaty in my sleep but now I feel so comfortable and never wake up feeling hot or sweaty. I would highly recommend buying the purple mattress and sheets!

Got the original purple in a queen size. I am a sode sleeper, 200 lbs, broad shoulders. My partner is a back, side, stomach sleeper, 130lbs, wider at the hips. The shipping was easy and fast. Set up wasn't too difficult, but these are heavy mattresses and a bit unwieldy to move around once out of the package. The issues I had with the mattress were some of the same documented in various reviews. 1) as a side sleeper the mattress caused my arms to fall asleep. 2) my partner as a side, back, stomach sleeper it wasn't firm enough and says her lower back was a sore after sleeping longer periods. I think the purple hybrid would likely solve these two issues for us, however the cost is a bit prohibitive. I do qualify for financing a 2nd mattress, and if I get a hybrid will review my contract with the original purple. After the trial I gifted the mattress to my brother in law. He and his partner had the same issues, but we both liked the cooling factor of the purple, especially during the summer months.

I received my Purple King Mattress in Oct 2017. I was very excited from the hype of new technology and a personal recommendation from a friend who had just purchased their Purple. I was so tired of my memory foam mattress consuming my body and forming a mold around me that was difficult to escape from - so this seemed like a great option. I will agree this mattress is constructed differently than any other I have researched and I applaud Purple for thinking outside of the box - that was enough for me to justify the expense. My experience: I'm 6', 230 lbs so a bit heavier than normal. I am primarily a side-sleeper (but lately I'm just a restless sleeper). The mattress did take some time to getting used to (as expected) so I kept holding on until my body and the mattress were acquainted. I think I did have some comfortable nights somewhere in this timeline but the experience kept evolving good to bad to good to bad. I made the mistake of waiting past my 100 day trial, thinking at least this is better than the memory foam! I put it out of my mind and went on with my life. Now nearly 1 1/2 years later I find myself back in the market for a new mattress, willing to give up on this investment after less than 2 years. I toss, turn, and wake all night long. I own a Fitbit which tracks my sleep patterns and the graphs are all over the place with very little deep-sleep recorded. I'm tired all the time and also tired of constant aches and pains that I didn't have before. As I am researching the internet for my next option I came across info about the new Purple 2, 3, & 4 with coils. I'm thinking I'm not the only one with a negative experience with Purple and this is why they are releasing softer options. My biggest complaint is while side-sleeping my arm seems to bottom-out past the comfort grid and my circulation gets cut off. Maybe this new technology would help with that problem? Unfortunately I am not willing to take another chance on Purple - even with the new technology. I'm writing this review for those considering a Purple. If you are a little heavier than normal and often sleep on your side - consider the Purple 2, 3, & 4. Maybe these will help? If not, keep you're eye on those 100 nights and be sure to return your mattress if not totally certain this is the mattress for you. Don't wait to return thinking things will all work out like I did. At first I bought the pillow because I did not want to take the plunge and get the bed. The pillow was great no neck strain in the morning so I opted for the bed. Great nights followed once it arrived. My only issue would be when I was taking off the packing the blade they gave me broke. Still a good product.

I bought a queen size purple bed because our old bed had a dip in it. And I just want to say it wow. I absolutely love this bed. When this bed wears out I will be buying another to replace it. To be honest it does take about two weeks to adjust but when u do its so worth it. In the purple bed the other person doesn't feel u getting out of bed. I have a 2 year that sleeps with us and she sleeps so much better also. Thanks purple for making a fantastic bed.

We tried tempurpedic, we tried sleep number, we tried certa. This is the first mattress that checks all the boxes for us. It's easy to fall asleep on, and I don't wake up sore in the morning. Love the mattress so much that we just bought one for each of our kids.

The mattress so far is much better then my old one its comfortable on side and back for me. The foundation also was well built but does creek a bit making the very low motion transfer of the mattress less appealing. If not for the noise it would be 5 stars. It was packaged very well it had some holes in the outer layer from shipping but didn't damage the mattress due to the very large amount of plastic.

Let me tell you, I'm a thicc fella. Always have had trouble with my old mattress not supporting my plump rump and my lower back simultaneously. The Purple Mattress does that. I've been sleeping on it for a month, and all I can say is...YES! Get one. Suck it up, make the purchase, and live your best life. < 3
