The Purple Mattress is the BEST purchase I have ever made. I suffer from insomnia along with neck and back pain. My arms would go numb throughout The night but it hasn't happened once since buying and sleeping on my awesome Purple Mattress. I could not be more pleased.

Sort of still figuring out how to sleep on it without my arm going numb or getting shoulder pain. Almost a combo of side and stomach sleeping seems the best.. I love the height of the pillow but doesn't really provide enough support between my arm and head and usually why my arm falls asleep.

I've had my Purple mattress for almost 4 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. As soon as I lay down I feel my body relax and I'm asleep in no time. I'm a back and side sleeper and I no longer wake up with shoulder pain or numb arms because of awkward positioning. I wake up rested and have a lot less aches and pains now. I'm keeping this mattress and hope that it goes until at least the warranty runs out.

I'm sure that the Purple works for some people, and by the reviews here, that much is obvious, but it wasn't for us. We got the Purple 3 three months ago and were entirely ready for some revolutionary sleep. As they say on the site, there is definitely an adjustment period, but after 2 or so weeks of mild discomfort, we were sleeping fairly well. My only complaint at this point was that the smell lingered on, especially when I changed from back to side, and that the mattress is very cold (more on this later). After two weeks, we slept well on it for a little over a month, and we thought things were great! Oh the joy of good sleep. Then, things started going downhill. I would wake up in the middle of the night with shoulder and hip pain (I'm a side sleeper), or I would wake up with numb toes/feet if I slept on my back. My back began to ache when I woke up and twisting and picking things up made it worse. My wife, who usually sleeps like the dead, was tossing and turning in the night and waking up with back pain as well. We gave it another few weeks, but it kept getting worse, so we returned the mattress. That said, I'm not hear to turn you off from the Purple. I'm just here to give you a bit of a head's up. While they say this generally sleeps at around a 6/6.5 on the firmness scale, we found it more of a 7.5 or more. Definitely a bit too firm for us (although not nearly as firm as the latex mattress we tried once - that thing was a plank). I would also caution anyone in colder climates to seriously consider the temperature neutrality of this mattress. They mean it. The bed stays the temperature of the room it's in, and having that in the cold north of New York, even in early spring, when your room is 55 at night, makes for really cold sleeping. I normally sleep hot and use, at best, a sheet and one blanket in the winter. I was using two extra blankets just to get warm when we got in bed. And then, in the middle of the night, when the mattress finally warmed up, I would wake up dripping sweat. Not fun at all. Fortunately, Purple's customer service and return teams are kind and understanding, and the process was super smooth. We donated the mattress to our local Urban Mission and Purple started the refund process as soon as I sent them a pic of the receipt. I do appreciate the opportunity to try the bed, and I'm sure there are people out there who will like it, but it definitely wasn't for us.

A couple weeks in with our King size Purple and I must say that I look forward to crawling into my new bed at the end of the day! LOVE this mattress!!! So far, money well spent! So darn comfy!!!! I can't wait for my Purple pillows to arrive! Oh and the sheets are divine!

This one started as a downer. It was stiffer than I expected or was used to. But, was able to sleep. A few weeks later the sheets showed up. That's the real showstopper there. These sheets are amazing. Totally made the mattress more for me. So, we decided to test the sheets on our old mattress. My neck pain instantly came back. I didn't even realize it was gone honestly. But, the old mattress has to go. The mattress on its own is a solid foundation. But, the sheets are an absolute must with this. They are worth it.

This is so nice! We used to have a traditional mattress with a 4" memory foam topper and then blows this away and is a few inches shorter. So getting used to the lower bed was different but nice. We primarily bought this because I'm a sweaty sleeper and this has completely dealt with that. I wake up dry every night!

I had a Leesa for years. My daughter has had a Purple. When I needed to purchase a second mattress for my spare room I decided to order a Purple for my bed and move the Leesa to the spare room. Best decision I have ever made! I have been sleeping on the Purple for a little over a week and have NEVER slept so well!! And I mean solid sleep!!! Do NOT hesitate to purchase a Purple!! You will not regret it!!!

We tried a different mattress because the price point was lower but it was way too firm. For the short time we had it we were constantly waking up in pain. We decided to try the purple after laying on a friends. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. I look forward to going to bed every night!

We absolutely love our Purple mattress! The best sleep we've had in a long time!!! It keeps us cool all night long, and has alleviated a lot of our body aches. The only complaint I have, and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that I wish the mattress and base would ship together. We got the mattress in about 3 weeks, then had to wait an additional 3 weeks to get the base, even though I ordered them at the same time. That's the ONLY thing I didn't care for. Zero complaints about the bed itself. It's wonderful!
