After sleeping on an expensive mattress for 10 years which was recommended for people with arthritis, and feeling more and more stuff every morning, I bought a purple mattress. I decided to do this because I had slept on one in the guestroom at my daughter's and slept better there than at home. Now when I get up in the morning I am not achy and stiff for the first time in many years. My purple mattress is worth every penny.

I've had difficulty getting more than 4 hours of sleep for years now. I've tried different mattresses to no avail. Finally, I spent the money on a Purple mattress. While I still don't sleep a full 8 hours, every night finds me sleeping a little longer. I have a pretty bad case of scoliosis and typically when I wake, I feel quite a measure of pain. I PURCHASED THIS MATTRESS BECAUSE I WANTED TO TRY A DIFFERENT FEELING MATTRESS. IT DOES NOT DISSAPOINT. MY ORIGINAL MATTRESS THAT I PURCHASED IS A SLEEP NUMBER I-9000 BACK IN 2005.I REPLACED THE COVERS AND FOAM, AND IT IS GOOD AS NEW AND READY FOR ANOTHER 15YRS. NOW BACK TO THE PURPLE 4, FOR ME THE PRESSURE OF THIS MATTRESS IS INCREDIBLE, IVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE IT, QUITE RELAXING. I WILL SAY THE 1st WEEK OR TWO, MY BODY WAS ACHING IN PLACES I DIDNT KNOW EXISTED, AND I WAS THINKING, MAYBE I MADE A MISTAKE. NOT A CHANCE. IT SEEMS THAT ITS GOING TAKE MORE TIME FOR MY BODY TO GET FULLY USED TO THIS MATTRESS, BECAUSE IM WAKING UP RELAXED IN THE MORNING. THE FIRST WEEK THAT I SLEPT ON THE MATTRESS, IT WAS SOFT, BOUNCY, AND THE PURPLE GRID HAD A ROLLING EFFECT LIKE WATER BED. AFTER ABOUT 3 WKS., THE BED SEEMS TO HAVE ADJUSTED TO ITSELF. IT DOESNT FEEL AS SOFT, NO ROLLING EFFECT, AND IT FEELS EVEN MORE SUPPORTIVE ( NOT FIRM ). FOR ME PERSONALLY, IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE PURPLE COMPANY WOULD MAKE AN ALL NATURAL ADD-ON PILLOW TOP USING COTTON AND OTHER ORGANIC MATERIALS TO COMPLIMENT THE PURPLE GRID MATERIAL. ALL IN ALL FOR ME PERSONALLY, THIS IS A VERY COMFORTABLE MATTRESS AND HOPEFULLY I WILL SOON BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A PURPLE 4 TWIN XL.

That's the only word needed! My husband and I fought over firm vs soft mattresses for years and without spending a fortune on adjustable beds or getting separate beds, we're both happy. More than happy - well rested and without aches and pains! I'd give more stars if I could!

Before I purchased the Purple mattress, I had bought other memory foam mattresses that turned out to be big disappointments. I sleep very hot and have been desperately looking for a truly cool mattress for years. After much hesitation, I decided to give the Purple mattress a try. Did i mention I was desperate? Before placing the order, I called Purple CS and asked whether there was any memory foam and was assured that there was none. That assurance and the purple grid design convinced me to give this mattress a try. Fast forward to November. I have had this mattress since July. Although it sleeps cooler longer than other mattresses, after about an hour, it is just as hot as other mattresses. Whatever magic the grid was supposed to perform, it did not do it for me. I did not return the mattress during the 100-day return period because I was determined to "make it work," Cranking up the air conditioning in summer did not help, but I had hoped that with the onset of cooler weather, the mattress would feel cooler. It is not, in spite of the fact that I set my overnight thermostat to 65 degrees. Since I cannot sleep directly on it, I have been alternating between sleeping in my armchair and on a small spring coil mattress on the floor. Not terribly comfortable, but cool. The mattress will probably end up getting donated. And the quest for cool sleep continues. So not a positive experience, and another disappointment. All in all, this is a firm mattress (what I like) that most sleepers may find comfortable. However, at least for me, sleeping on it has been just as miserable an experience as with other mattresses.

Took a while to get adjusted to a new mattress, as expected. However, it was worth the wait. As nights went by, my back pain faded away. This mattress conforms to my body just as it was advertised. Such an incredible sensation for sure. Overall, worth every cent if you're in need of better or even maybe the best sleep and rest you could get.

I had a disk rupture in my lower back while working freight at a grocery store. It caused my entire right leg to go numb, making it very difficult and painful to walk at all. So, at 22 years old, there I was going into the surgery room. A number of different life-style changes has contributed to fully recovering feeling and range of motion in my leg, however, a chronic pain managed to linger this whole time. I've had the good days, but also many bad painful days that kept me indoors and taking strong painkillers. After moving into my own place, the first piece of furniture I decided to buy was a Purple Mattress. I have been able to fall asleep fast. I wake up without PAIN! I can go on with my day without even thinking of taking a pill. I have found motivation to go on long walks and work out again. I am much more focused at work and have been able to be much more proactive. I know that might sound like too many things are happening here, but it all starts with a good night's sleep. I've had the mattress for over 3 months and I have told everyone about it. Family, friends, co workers, random people, the mail-man, EVERYONE! It took us just two nights to fall in love with this mattress. I'll admit it is short, probably shorter than you are accustomed to if you and it looks and feels a little weird when you first lay down but the sleep you'll experience is amazing. After the first night my back was a little sore from adjusting but the second night everything just worked. I have been comatose for the last week and my back has literally never felt better. I'm kicking myself now for not trying it sooner... I highly recommend this bed. My mother, sister, and aunt were all in the market for new beds laid on mine five minutes and ordered their own! I selected side, stomach, and back sleeper because in my old Serta I moved constantly at night trying to get comfortable I am now a happy side sleeper who barely moves at all. Stop thinking about it I was skeptical too; buy a purple and your back will thank you.

I love the purple. I would stay the night at my friends just to sleep on one. When it finally came to purchasing a mattress, I was deciding between the nectar and purple. Finally decided the price different was worth it and bought myself a purple queen. I love it!

Very pleased. Switching from my no good, very bad inner spring mattress to the Purple (regular one) improved my back and neck pain by 25-35%. I was very scared to switch mattresses, because I've had such bad experiences sleeping on other foam mattresses. So, I stayed with my bad old inner spring mattress because I felt like the devil you know, right? That all changed with my Purple. I am so glad I took the chance.
