I don't normally do these reviews but every one needs to know the truth . Had a number bed for 2 year's now and could not stay in it any longer then 8 hours a night without a painful morning trying to straighten out my back. If I was sick I had to spend all my time on the couch.Bought a king size purple the first of the year ,and got a total knee replacement th e 1st of February. Can only sleep on my back . I am in bed 11-12 hr a night and after I wake up I exercise for 10 minutes then back in bed for 2 hr. Then back up fo 10 minutes all day long . I don't think it's the pain killers I am on I know it is the bed that is making this operation tolerable. Thank you rocket scientist.

After several weeks of sleeping on the Purple, my wife and I love it! Before we tried it, we purchased a competitor in the "mattress by mail" market. We had that one for a month and had to return it, as we seemed to sleep worse than before. But now, we both sleep great. The mattress really does form well to all pressure points. The pillow is heavy and took a little getting used to, but wow, I really like the pillow! I have found it to work well sleeping on my back or side. I was skeptical for side-sleeping with it, as it is fairly flat. But the shoulders seem to sink in the right amount to make it work. Well done Purple!

The Purple mattress was the best thing since sliced bread for the first few weeks compared to our old bed, However after that it just became like any other bed it was just there and we slept in it. We are about a year and half into the purple mattress and it does seem that it has sagged a small amount as i have started waking up with a slight discomfort. I am going to give it 2 more months to see if its me or the bed then i will update this review.

I've had my mattress for about 90 days. It is fantastic. I am a disabled veteran and have multiple back, neck, and shoulder injuries. I am actually sleeping through the night. I was a diehard Tempur-Pedic mattress owner before I bought the purple mattress. The purple mattress is amazing! I haven't gotten hot like I did with the Tempur-Pedic mattress. I love sleeping cool. Thank you Purple Mattress!!

Strangest mattress that I ever slept on. You kind of have to crawl your way to the middle and then plop yourself in your desired position. If you sit on the edge of the bed it becomes a slope and you could fall off. lol I like the comfort, like sleeping on jello. The mattress is a little smaller than my previous queen mattress, maybe 2 inches per side. The free purple sheets that came with the bed are very soft, however the top sheet is overly stretchy and doesn't stay in the middle. Easy to get tangled up in it by morning and then you have to fight your way out of bed. The purple bag that the mattress came in is really cool. I saved it. Perhaps tho, it might be a good idea to mark which end the instructions are in. I didn't even know there was more in the bag until after i watched a video on installation. I do like the little purple beds they include great for our happy plushies. I look forward to many great nights of sleep. I am completely satisfied. : D

This is coming from someone who has stacked mattress toppers up for a bed for several years now, so anything from there is up! But, the Purple mattress is great. I use it on the floor. It's a little too heavy for me to drag to a different room if my apt. neighbors are too noisy, but that's what makes it a good bed. I kept my Therapedic topper because there is no place to roll it up and store it and it makes a nice addition. It fits my old sheets and that is good. Would I recommend it--absolutely! It is heavy so you will need some muscles to help with if you're like me, but I imagine it will be the last mattress I will ever buy.

Disappointed. Overall the mattress did not live up to the anticipated expectation. I still toss and turn nightly because of hip or back pressured pain after laying in either position for extended length of time. Positive-motion transfer is minimal. I will return the mattress not worth keeping for the cost and still have the same discomfort issues.

My wife and I LOVE our Purple mattress. I had back & shoulder pain before, and the Purple has nearly eliminated it. I never would have thought that the reason my back hurt was our mattress! I assumed it was because of my desk job (sitting for long periods of time every day). But with the Purple, the pain is almost entirely gone! The other great thing about the Purple mattress is that it sleeps extremely cool. I get hot at night, and other mattresses make me sweat...obviously this makes it hard to fall asleep! The Purple is the first ever mattress I've tried that doesn't retain any heat. It sleeps perfectly cool, which makes it much easier to fall asleep. I've already referred several friends & family to Purple, and I will continue to do so! I'm a fan for life.

My wife and I were looking for a new mattress so we sat down at the computer and did some research. I had a pretty good idea as to what I wanted. We narrowed it down to a Purple and a Puffy brand mattress. Well we didn't do what most people do. We bought both mattresses. We slept on the Puffy mattress for 30 days and will say it is a quality mattress but was a little hot for us. So we decided to try the Purple. It also was very comfortable maybe just edging out the Puffy in that category. For us as a couple the biggest difference was the cooling. Both of us sleep hot and we were hopeful that one of theses mattress could deliver and for us it was the Purple. It was comfortable and cooling and that's what we needed.

With some reviews saying they needed a few nights to adjust to the feel of the bed, and the material, we wondered how our first night would go. Absolutely no problems! My husband has had 3 shoulder surgeries, and has slept with a pillow between his arms to keep his shoulders open for years. On this bed, from the first night, he needs no pillows. The pressure on his shoulders, as he's a side sleeper, cause him no pain. The bed truly does support without discomfort. Not too firm as some reviews said. Its perfect for us!
