We had a memory foam bed for 10 years prior to purchasing our new purple mattress. We loved our old mattress but it was just plum wore out I was extremely worried that our purple mattress was going to be super soft and we were not going to like it. once we got it rolled out I laid on it and it was extremely soft and I was even more worried. we waited 24 hours to let it do it's thing and it's perfect it's not super soft anymore it's just right and we are extremely happy with our purple mattress. we also could not believe how fast it showed up at our house. it was a great purchase we don't regret it in the slightest.

I honestly didn't enjoy sleeping on the mattress for the first week and my wife hated it for the first two weeks. After the adjustment period we fell in love with this mattress. Highly recommended. A little on the firm side but the support is outstanding and it makes side sleeping a dream.

I had two hip replacements, one in October and one in January. My husband and I went out in our boat to fish in the Mississippi Gulf, in March.I used my purple seat cushion as padding as we rode in sometimes rough water and as we were fishing. I had no discomfort while sitting on my purple seat cushion, I love it!

This mattress is definitely not for someone who has lumbar spinal issues. I wanted to like this mattress, however, i woke up with more back pain. I'm 119lbs side sleeper and back sleeper. This mattress offered no support and it was if I could feel the gridding that is within the mattress. I returned today and spent the extra 1k to go with a tempurpedic as it is hands down worth the money.

I'll start off with my reasons for needing a special mattress - I've had migraines regularly since I was in kindergarten, due to chronic muscle tension exacerbated by a nasty fall I took down a wooden staircase when I was 2. I've had back, neck, and shoulder pain for as long as I can remember. And over the past couple years I've been working to manage PTSD, which binds my muscles up extremely tightly, makes my body run hot (waking up soaked in sweat in the middle of the night - yuck), and makes it very difficult to sleep. The Purple mattress isn't a miracle - I don't spring out of bed every morning feeling perfect and sprightly. I still have mornings where I'm extremely stiff, and I always have to do an hour of yoga first thing to get myself ready to go out into the world. Sometimes I still lay in bed for a long time trying to get my muscles to release before I can sleep. However, the Purple mattress is the best mattress I've found for my needs. I may need to concentrate to get my muscles to release, but the Purple mattress provides exactly the right support my body needs to actually achieve that release. I don't wake up feeling perfect, but I definitely feel my best (and I notice a huge difference when I sleep in a different bed, and even expensive "regular" mattresses don't compare to my Purple). The stiffness I described is much milder with my Purple. Not only that, but the flexible grid that makes up the top few inches keeps me much cooler than any other mattress I've tried. Again, it's not perfect - there's only so much anything can do when your adrenaline's running haywire - but I wake up hot much less often, and toss and turn looking for cool spots way less as well. My only sort-of complaint is that, because of my small size (I'm 5'3", 120 lbs), I don't sink down into the Purple as much as I'd like to. However, I sink down enough that my Purple is actually really soothing for me if I need to crawl in when I'm having a panic attack or flashback episode. The "sinking in" feeling sort of cradles my body and makes me feel more secure and in much less pain, so I can concentrate on breathing and doing my processing exercises to move through the attacks more easily. Because the mattress contours to me, it's a very safe, comfortable, secure place to recenter myself. This goes the same for when I wake up panicking due to a nightmare - this mattress is welcoming enough that I don't usually have the intense need to get out of bed in those circumstances. So I get back to sleep faster (which in turn really helps with my day-to-day management). My migraines are way down, and so are the random muscle spasms I used to get periodically during the day. My pain overall is greatly diminished. Most people don't think about special mattress needs for PTSD, but this mattress has been an amazing addition to my management. Again - not a miracle. But it's definitely the best mattress I've found for my particular needs. Thank you, Purple!

We love our bed so much we just wish that we would have got a king instead of a queen. Last year we had a baby extremely premature so for the first 4 months we could sleep on it because we had to stay at the Ronald McDonald house but other than the size we love our purple mattress

It came time for me to purchase a new mattress for myself. I've been sleeping on the mattress I've had since I was a wee young lad. I wanted to make sure I purchased the perfect mattress. I don't say this enough, but the Purple mattress was the best investment of my life! This was a better purchase/investment than my college education! It is THE mattress for those looking for the best night's sleep. I work a physically-demanding job in events audiovisual. Lugging cases of heavy equipment started taking a toll on my lower back so I knew that I need to try something to combat and correct this pain. This bed literally sucked that pain away and endowed me with super powers after the first few nights! Very little adjustment period (I had never slept on another mattress type other than a spring). As well as that, I stay fairly cool at night with my thick blankets. I can't say that I've had to wake up at night from being overheated. It is incredibly comfortable! The best part of my day coming home from work is plopping straight onto my Purple mattress and feeling all the stresses of the world dissolve away. If you want to experience bliss and get something that is most certainly worth the great price they sell this bed for, then get a Purple. Just do it.

I had high hopes for my Purple mattress, but it was much too firm for me. I am 5'11" and 200 pounds and a side sleeper. I could sleep on my back fine, but not on my side, which is my preferred position. After a month, I needed to stop using the Purple so that I could get some good sleep again. I am now back to the sleep number bed and could not be happier.

Just got an email from Purple asking me to review my purchase of one of their mattresses and I will gladly oblige. I love this think like a cuddle fish loves to cuddle. And if that fish had a purple mattress I'm sure he'd do all his cuddling on his bed. Seriously though I'm a life time customer.

This is by far, hands down, the best mattress I've ever slept on. I was considering spending a ridiculous amount of cash on a Four Seasons Hotel mattress, but this is so much better! Now hotel stays make me miss home more! We plan on changing all the mattresses in the house to Purples. Thanks Purple!
