I've been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now and I fell in love with it within the first week. Now when I sleep in it I sleep like a baby(except when I have to wake up to get a drink of water). I literally feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. Or something similar, I can't explain it. But this mattress is the absolute best. :D I sleep on all my sides and I don't have back pain or shoulder pain anymore. I'm also not as cranky during the day.

I was super skeptical about a mattress I had never tried it before hand, but my wife was convinced (thank you genius marketing ads). I finally decided to pull the trigger and order the Purple Original. My wife and I are blown away at how comfortable the bed is paired with our Purple Sheets. Such a great purchase, and I can't recommend it enough.

Last Oct we bought a new mattress for our home and spent over 5k for it. When it came time to buy a new mattress for our rv, we decided to try the Purple because of the price and because we had heard such good thongs about it. We love our Purple as much...if not more....than the mattress we spent 5k on. We have recommended it to our family and friends.

This is probably going to be the longest review Purple has ever received, but I want to start from the beginning with my experience because I relied heavily on the reviews of other people before making the "life-choice" of what mattress to purchase. I knew what I wanted in a mattress; support for my lower back and to never experience "the dip" - which so commonly occurs with every single mattress out there - ever again. I had a memory foam mattress before I bought my Purple mattress. On a day-to-day basis, I do not have any back pain. I only had lower back pain in the morning so long as I was in bed for longer than 6 hours, which would slowly dissipate the more I got up and started to move around. Before my memory foam mattress, I had a typical 'spring' mattress. I bought the memory foam mattress because I thought it was what I needed to help with my lower back pain that I had from the spring mattress. Since that mattress was a hand-me-down, it goes without saying that 'the dip' was deep enough to lose a whole body! So, in short, I've had lower back pain for around 10 years now, all from a mattress. I was ready to take the step and spend my beloved, hard-earned money on a new mattress, but which one?! My parents have a Sleep Number and they hate it, I didn't want another memory foam mattress, I was steering VERY clear of a spring mattress, which then led me right to Purple. As I said before, I read review after review. The final review I read is what 'sold' me. A Veteran who had seen and done it all for the love of his country (Thank you for your service) had MANY body aches, as I am sure you can imagine. He talked about having back pain and how, on the very first night, he woke up the next morning with no pain. "WOW! It's a "magic mattress"!", I thought. He also stated in his review that he bought the whole kit-n-kaboodle; the pillow, the sheets, the mattress protector, and of course, the mattress. I, however, only bought the mattress and the sheets - which are the most amazing bed sheets I've ever owned. Amongst my research, I saw a few reviews that said that it could take a few nights, weeks or even months for your body to get used to the mattress. Ok, makes sense. So, here I go...I make "the purchase", I do some hard core Fed Ex stalking and then ALAS! It's finally here! (side note: I read reviews that warned that this mattress was heavy and that you need two people to move this. Me, being stubborn and very independent, laughed at the warnings. I am here to tell you, this sucker is HEAVY! You most certainly need two people.) Fast forward a month and a half, I still wake up with back pain every morning however, it's not as bad. It's very disheartening spending such a large sum of money (to me, this is a large sum) to not have "the magic" work. Yes, I know, this isn't a magical mattress, but I at least expected to sleep in bed longer than 6 hours at a time. I told everyone I know about this mattress because I was SO excited. Since it's been a month and a half, they're now asking me how I like it. Here's the truth, I don't know! When I lay down at night, I love it. When I wake up in the morning, I am disappointed. Someone said, "maybe it's your pillow". So, my next step is to purchase their original Purple Pillow and hope for the best. Due to just buying a house and buying a mattress, the funds aren't readily available to do so for a while yet. I know the mattress comes with a 100 night trial period, but I honestly don't want to get rid of it because what am I going to purchase instead? (see aforementioned stipulations above) Time will tell, I suppose. Until then, sleep well my friends!

I don't think anyone could make a one mattress fits all. I was very happy with the purple mattress. It is quite different than anything out there and I loved it . My husband started sleeping in another bed after I purchased it because he found it to hard, so I ended up buy a 2 inch memory foam topper for it and we are now back together at night.

I so want to love My 'Purple" but I have not had a good night's sleep in over a month. I wake up with a sore back almost every day. I love the concept of the Hyper-Elastic polymer but it doesn't like me. I love the feel at first it is soft but firm all at once. I however find that I cannot get comfortable and toss and turn all night. My better half-he sleeps like a log! I have had to travel a lot about two-months after receiving the mattress. Now that I have been home for the last few months and have gotten enough 'hours" on the mattress I still can't sleep. Like everything it is not for everyone but I am so Happy that so many people are sleeping soundly and waking up refreshed. I also feel as some that it is a bit too firm. Customer service was very good. I am not sure what else they could do for us, because we are over the 100 days. Happy Z's

Ordered to replaced a 12 year old box spring. Packaging was well thought out but the bed sleeps about the same as the old bed. Wouldn't say it was a waste of money but not overly impressed with it. The price was good for what it is and I didn't haft to go to any stores and get bothered.

I guess I'm having a hard time just reviewing the mattress since there are so many things that have changed since my last mattress. I also purchased the Purple Mattress Protector along with Purple's sheets so my experience includes all of those things combined. I haven't tried removing the protector yet, but I'm guessing that it might be detracting from my experience a little (not having used a mattress protector on my last mattress). I've never really had any sleeping issues (I'm now 50+) and I continue to experience quality sleep with Purple.

About three days before our wedding, my cat peed on my and my soon to be husbands bed. It was a great bed and severed us well, but with the pee, it had to go. I already knew we were getting a purple. I had obsessively researched about a year prior for mattress (idk why) and purple seemed perfect. We came home to our honeymoon to the mattress. Me and my husband love it, the first night we both noticed it didn't hurt to sleep on our arms, they were numb when we woke up. My husband then decided it was good the cat peed on the bed. He also now complains any time we go anywhere that doesn't have purple mattress. My father who had to sleep in chair because of injuries purchased a mattress right before me, can for the first time time in about 10 years sleep laying down with out terrible pain. My mom and step Dad sneak into our rooms and take naps when they come over. My brother won't even lay down on our mattress because 'anyone who lays down on that thing buys one and I don't have money to buy a new mattress'. Our next step is to buy another one for our guestroom when we have the money. I really can't say enough good things.

Ive been sleeping on the Purple since a couple of months now and it has been fantastic! My back problems vanished! The only thing I would wish for is that the mattress would be a little higher but I would buy it again. In fact I will purchase another for my guest bedroom!
