The Purple mattress keeps its shape. It is comfortable and does not get too warm on hot nights. This is my second one. I bought another for my guest room. We plan to buy a third for our attached apartment. I also highly recommend the mattress cover as well.

I am 6' tall and 200lbs. Realistically this would be an average sized sleeper. I tried the original purple mattress and found it soft yet firm simultaneously. It felt weird and too firm overall to sleep well on, I exchanged it for the purple 4 and that felt way too noodly soft and unsupportive, I felt like I was folding in half like a taco trying to sleep. Customer service was very friendly and excellent helping me return both mattresses.Their matresses are weird and exciting and like nothing else out there but they were not for me and my fickle low back.

I bought the original Purple mattress back in 2017 after trying a few memory foam mattresses and loved it. I kept it for a couple of years and eventually gave it to a friend when I moved in with my fiancée since she had just bought a new mattress (Tuft & Needle) and didn't want to get rid of it. I slept okay on it at first so I figured it was fine. A couple of months ago, I was no longer able to sleep through the night on the T&N, so I decided to get another Purple. A quick note, I'm about 5'11" and 180lbs, and primarily sleep on my side. Despite having owned one already, I'll still say that buying it again was one of the best purchases ever. I didn't even realize how much pain I had in my hips when waking up on the T&N until my first night on the new Purple. Just as with the first one, I: - Fall asleep faster - Wake up less frequently in the night - Have no pain anywhere when waking up I love this mattress. I have no plans to ever own a different brand of mattress - it's that good. Bonus for the super friendly support team that helped me exchange one of my Harmony pillows.

We have had our mattress for over a year now and cannot be more pleased. We bought it right before we decided to have another child so I would be comfortable during pregnancy. Which I was, but the most noticeable difference between this mattress and our old one is now that baby # 2 has arrived I am able to go right back to sleep even though I am up every 2 hours. I am so thankful for those two hours and the Purple mattress helps me enjoy every second of sleep I can get. You will not regret this purchase.

My spouse (whom is a side-sleeper) would rate this bed at around a 2, whereas I would put it at a 4 or 5. It's very comfortable and feels like you're floating when you lay on your back, but if you try put all your weight on your side, you end up sinking straight through the purple layer and into the foam, which is extremely hard. We will be upgrading to the Purple Premier Hybrid 3" in the hopes that it will be deep enough to prevent these issues.

After fretting about which mattress to buy (many online choices), we chose Purple. We are completely satisfied with the purchase! Since receiving it, I actually was in a nationally recognized mattress store (looking for some other furniture) and I tried laying on their mattresses - none of them came close to our Purple! The Purple feels like a spring mattress, but with the benefits of being foam. So don't fret about researching all of the other mattress companies - just go with Purple.

I have enjoyed this bed tremendously so far. Our silly u-shaped cotton sack hindered me from a good night of sleep. This bed is great. Granted, a piece of plywood with some cardboard on top would have been better than our bed; however, the technology Purple uses really works. You can feel the grid support and give in necessary areas, translating to no pain however I sleep. While it takes about a month to get used to the bed, I was able to drop into REM at least once a night after the first week, one time more than usual. This may be due to partner insensitivity through the mattress (she uses the bathroom 38 times during the night) or perhaps Purple is really just that good. Either way, I approve!

My boyfriend and I just got our first place and had heard so many good things about the purple mattress so we decided to take a look and then took the plunge and bought one. It was definitely the best decision we've ever made. We both have back and knee issues and we are sleeping better and are less sore after sleeping on it at night. I'm also a light sleeper and the bed doesn't move when he gets in and out of the bed or when he turns. This is our new favorite mattress and will definitely be recommending it to all our friends and family.

Last night was my first night on the Purple mattress and I'm soooo happy with my decision to purchase it! I finally woke up pain free after months of sleeping on an old, uncomfortable mattress. No matter what position you sleep in, it's comfortable. The bag is VERY heavy but with the help of another person, it was easy to set-up. I also purchased the bed frame which I love! I never write reviews on products and I was very hesitant to buy a mattress without testing it out first, however, the reviews made a huge difference in my decision to purchase Purple.

I've never experienced a bed like this and have recommended it to family and friends. If there was some kind of referal reward system for customers it would make people go out and talk about your bed. Then you reward your customers instead of marketing in commercials
