After struggling with lower back pain the last year and sleeping on a conventional mattress, I decided to try the Purple. I researched several "alternative" mattresses. BUT I kept coming back to the Purple. I am sleeping without pain through the night. It feels so good to sleep comfortably again. I also purchased the power base, pillows, and sheets. The pillows are amazing. No longer do I wake up on a flat hot pillow. My neck is supported. The power base allows me to adjust myself so my body is in almost a floating position. No stress points anywhere. And best of all Purple is manufactured in Utah. I loved supporting a local company.

It's really flat and I'm not used to that. I've slept with it for a month now sometimes still struggle I just wish it was thicker. It is comfortable once I'm asleep. I sleep on my side. And I've slept with a contoured pillow for years. I'm just used to more support.

This matress has changed my life drastically. It is quite firm but also feels very soft at the same time. With a standard mattress I was unable to sleep comfortably on my back because my rear end would not sink enough into the matress to have my spine level and in perfect alignment. My doctor recommended that I sleep this way but I had to continue sleeping on my side. It did take about three weeks to get used to the Purple matress, but I also was changing sleep positions from side to back. With the purple matress I wake up every morning pain free! I have been diagnosed with scoliosis and end plate sclerosis as well as arthritis is my back and knees. This bed was just what I needed and is worth every penny. Customer service is also great, noticed a small tear in the matress cover about a month after sleeping on it from a weak stitch in the material. Purple has another on its way as we speak, very quick and hassle free. No cost whatsoever and they said I can keep the old one as a backup! I recommend purple to everyone and I was in a budget so I went with original but I hope one day I can afford to upgrade and try the Purple 4, and if I don't like it as much I know I can get my money back within 100 days so its a win win! Until I bought my Purple mattress, I had given up on being able to find a mattress that I'd be comfortable on/would not worsen my back pain. I had severe spinal surgery years ago, and no matter what brand, type, or level of firmness I've tried in a mattress, I would always wake up hurting. Somehow, Purple has created a mattress that is both strong /supportive but also cushiony - and best of all I'm able to comfortably sleep on my side (I've had to get a foam mattress topper for each of my old mattresses to be able to do that, otherwise it would be horribly painful because there's no give/my spine wouldn't be kept straight). Thank you to everyone at Purple for making this product, it's been worth every penny and I couldn't possibly be any happier with it!!

Fiancée and I finally decided that spending more money for a nice mattress was not a bad idea. I mean we use it every night so why wouldn't it be?! Took some time to transition, but we love this thing now! I'm getting better sleep than I can ever remember.

I have always been intrigued by the technology behind Purple mattresses. So I bought one of the 1st generation pillows and did not like it. Recently I needed to replace our mattress but had to fit the dimensions of the bed frame. I narrowed down the choices and decided to try the basic purple mattress. The height was the issue with this bed frame. Because it was the lower line bed I was skeptical of how I would like it. I received the mattress on Father's Day weekend. One of my sons helped me haul it in and unpack it. I have been sleeping on it since mid-June and really appreciate it. I really notice a difference when I travel and return back to this bed. So far this has been a great mattress! Thank you Purple!

This mattress is incredible! I've had chronic back pain for years. Sleeping on a conventional mattress, sometimes I'd sleep wrong and my back would be thrown out for weeks. But on the Purple mattress, I wake up in the morning without any pains or aches. It's amazing! I also like that it doesn't transfer motion. So when I shift positions or get out of bed in the night, it doesn't disturb my wife. I'm telling all my friends they need this mattress.

I love how it feels, but laying on it.. I'm just not impressed and happy. Have to keep the bed now because my other mattress was so bad. So I guess this is better than sleeping on the floor. I like that you can feel where it holds your weight. But it feels like a big hard slab. Not impressed and hard to sleep at night. We spent so much on this bed so I'll just have to take it.. I sleep on my side and back. Due to having surgery on my shoulders so it's good days and bad days for side sleeping. Or I'll sleep on my back. And my husband sleeps on his stomach. The sheets are good I like how soft they are. I had to buy a pillow from here too because it said it came with the pillow, but when we received it... it did not come with a pillow...

After a little over a month of sleeping on this mattress, I can say that I have been sleeping much better than I was on our old mattress. I like to stay cool at night and this mattress combined with the Purple sheets is the perfect combination to stay cool.

This mattress is by far the most comfortable and supportive mattress I have ever used. I used to wake up with a stiff and sore neck and lower back. Now with my Purple mattress I wake up pain free and well rested. I do not toss and turn like I did with my old mattress.
