The bed arrived before the ETA, I ordered the original mattress twin XL and it is just as supportive and comfortable as the king sized original (my first purple purchase). The bed was easy to unpack and they even improved on the packing design so that it went faster than the first time. (Though it wasn't difficult to unpack the bed then either). There is nothing like this product out there, the grid makes all the difference. It doesn't make me sweat, and my spine receives exactly the right amount of support.

I personally don't get the hype of the purple mattress. I am on my 2nd one due to my first one being defective and filing a warranty claim. I will say they were great about sending me a new mattress but now that I've had the new one for 2ish weeks I'm not loving it. My back is still killing me no matter what position I sleep on. I've tried on my back, left side, right side and even attempted my stomach for part of the night last night. I would recommend trying a different brand however I personally have tried many different mattresses and feel like they all suck eventually. A friend bought both tuft and needle and purple the same time and split nights on each one and ultimately kept the tuft and needle and sent back the purple so I may go that route as well

I'm still trying to judge on whether I'd like to continue using the mattress. It's not as magical as I thought it would be after all the commercials. I still have back pain in the mornings and I don't just fall asleep really quickly because I'm so comfortable like I thought i would.

My SO and I live in separate houses, so when it was time for her to replace her bed, I suggested we get the Purple and one of the other internet foam beds, one for each house, try them for about 30 days, then switch. After having slept on both beds for extended periods of time, there is something about that Purple that is juuuuuuust not quite as good at the other. The SO and I have not quite put our finger on what the deficiency is, but I would say the other is just a little more comfy. If we had only gotten the Purple, we would be completely happy with our purchase, but one final deciding factor on which I would pick is that the Purple is so heavy and floppy that it is a giant pain in the neck to transport. If you move around a lot, this is definitely not the bed for you. P.S. The first thing I did after unpacking the bed was the egg test. That part is totally awesome.

I had tried the hybrid in store. I would prefer hybrid but cost restrictions promoted the regular purple. it is still a very good mattress and upon reviews reported to be much firmer. I absolutely say its a firm bed. ive always used firm and this is definitely at the top of the firm chart for sure. I love it but its definitely firm if you try in store vs ordered. or hybrid vs regular. I will likely upgrade to hybrid at some point but due to up coming spinal surgery I couldn't spend that much if my bed needs could change. I do love the bed so far but its only been 12 days ive used it. I do not wake up tossing and turning as before. I still do but its not waking me up anymore for now. we will see how it rates after a while. most reviews say it takes time to adjust to. I had no issues oddly. lost story short if on the fence about the purchase go for hybrid but if cost is a big factor you will be happy with original also. side note. im a side sleeper by nature but can sleep on my stomach and back with ease on this one

NOT for people over 300# Have had less than 3 months and already I (140#) can feel the change in support and "dip" feel on my side VS the middle . My husband sits in the edge of the bed and it hits bottom. The feel of the " dip " on his side is more pronounced, . I do NOT recommend the original purple for heavy people. The only positive is that my joints do have less pain - but how much of that was just simply replacing my 15 year old mattress??

Was a fast delivery, easy to set up. It immediately relieved shoulder pain my old matress caused. Experienced pain in hips for first 2 weeks but disappeared. Husband was concerned it was not firm enough at first but is adjusting. We have couple of months to decide whether to keep or not. So far we are adjusting well & thinking this is good investment.

Honestly I think I sleep better. I can lay on my left hip for the first time in years. The only complaint I have is I sometimes feel that the bed is to hard and it takes me a little while to get comfortable but I don't get to sleep on the bed but 8 days a month as I live at my work

Since setup have not had a good night sleep yet-but my cats have, maybe its the cheap sheets we bought since the purple ones were sent back initially, the sheets box states that they were developed to work with the purple mattress because they are more flexible. We will have to wait and see.

Admittedly we haven't had the purple for very long but I have been sore in my neck and shoulders since the day we got it. It is so hard! I wished I would have read up on it a little more. Apparently it's better for back sleepers and my husband and I are both side sleepers. We are going to give it the full 120 day guarantee time but I'm pretty sure we will be sending it back. It's been like sleeping on a rock. I've loved the stretchy sheets though.
