I love this mattress. I did not need any time to adjust at all it was instant comfort for me. My reason for 4 stars is because I am a VERY hot sleeper. I have had issues with getting hot "spots" usually around my hips in the middle of the night even though I am using Purple's mattress protector and sheets. Not sure why I do but usually if I readjust I am okay.

Full disclosure: I am an active duty service member with a few war wounds. I haven't quite hit middle aged yet but my body has more miles on it than most men get in a life time. 6'5" and a respectable athletic 280lbs. I fell in love with memory foam years ago but found they break down too quickly. The sagging hurts my spine like only a fellow sufferer can comprehend. Wife is a sporty 6'4". Since we started sleeping on our new Cal King Purple we have both achieved a deeper and longer state of sleep. In fact I am regularly sleeping 4-6 hours solid before needing to roll over. This is a huge improvement as I was getting little over an hour at a time in our memory foam along we used before. The bed responded quickly, is firm yet soft enough be still be very comfortable. I am experiencing less back pain then before and I am able to start my mornings without the in bed yoga routine I was accustomed too. In fact, my only complaint is that we sleep in a lot more than we used to. Hoping this amazing bed holds out as long as others I've spoken to about their Purple. In closing, IF YOUR ON THE FENCE, BUY THIS BED!!!

My husband and I researched mattresses for over 18 months before deciding to buy. We wanted to make sure we were 100% knowledgeable on every available product before buying. We were VERY hesitant to buy a mattress from an online retailer, just knowing we couldn't lay on it or even see it in person prior to buying. I feel like we researched ALL the online mattress companies out there (and there are like 100 now), all the big-box stores and retailers, reading reviews and asking people in person. It was a very long drawn-out process, but every time, we just kept coming back to the Purple. When we had finally had enough of our pillow-top, we decided to buy a purple. That was just about 45 days ago. I can't believe we waited over 18 months to buy one. If I would've known how amazing this bed was, we would've bought it a long time ago. We decided on the Purple3 in king size. There is no heat transfer, it is firm, yet very soft. And the comfort level and support is unbelievable. If you are on the fence, you don't have anything to worry about. Hands down the best purchase we made in 2018.

I'll admit I was worried I'd been a victim of a snappy ad campaign when the mattress arrived considering it was literally half the thickness of my previous bed. But after getting the egg test out of the way (we've all tried it) I laid down and was surprised at the response. It's like the purple layer doesn't want to collapse at first it fights to stay in its grid like shape. And this property seems to equate to it pushing up on your body in the places between your pressure points and that mean support. It does feel a little odd. Maybe not as "cozy" as a pillow top but I usually have toss and turn and have not slept 4hrs straight without waking and moving to alleviate back or shoulder pain in probably 2 years on my beautyrest and always woke with morning aches and pains walking downstairs slowly and having to move around for a bit till I felt normal. First night on purple I slept 9 hrs straight and my bladder was the only thing that woke me up. I had Zero pain and sleep straight through the night for the month I've owned my purple. The only negative thing is I used to like to come home from working nights and get in bed and fall asleep to watching something on my laptop. I have yet to watch more that 10 mins of something before passing out on my purple. Sometimes I do t even make it through the login process before I'm OUT. I can't believe I went through life getting such poor sleep before I found purple.

I was hesitant to buy online, but with the 100-day trial, free delivery, and honest website - I was sold. I love my mattress. It is, indeed, the best thing I have slept on. I was bummed the mattress protector doesn't protect against bed bugs - but that is the only downside to the mattress, protector, frame, and sheets I bought.

The mattress is definitely a game changer, I'm a side sleeper and I run hot when I fall asleep, so the purple mattress is perfect for me in 2 ways one it's very comfortable to sleep on my side on this mattress and it does not hurt my shoulders or neck to sleep in this position all night and because the design I don't over heat even though the mattress supports my side sleeping position. Customer service is also very kind, proffesional and responsive when I've had the need to get in touch with them. We're still very happy with our purple mattress.

Mattress was easy to open and expanded fairly quickly, proper tools to cut open the packaging was provided! Mattress has been great over all we have been waking up with no more back pain. Did need to invest in a different type of pillow due to the bed adjusting to how I sleep at night.

Customer service and delivery was excellent. However, we are not fans of the pillow and unfortunately have not been experiencing overall great sleep on the mattress. We have back, hip and shoulder problems and prefer a more softer mattress then what purple is. We have been sleeping better than on our old mattress but still waking up with back pain in the morning and through out the day after a month of using purple.

My 8 year old has been begging for a purple mattress for almost two years. Finally the time was right and he was ready for a larger bed so I pulled the trigger. Funny thing is now I want one too. I have tried a number of mattresses over the years and the first time I laid on his I was in LOVE!!! Don't wait two years, my plan is to buy one for myself soon.

I'm a very hot sleeper, and I have had problems with my lower back and knees. In a regular mattress I would wake up most nights with night sweats and joint pain. My Temperpedic did okay to handle my joints, but I still suffered from night sweats, and I had the mattress model with the cooling top. After researching Purple extensively, I gave it a try. True to their word, my Purple mattress disipates the heat my body gives off all night long. I have never had a single night sweat since I switched. What's more, my Purple mattress is more comfortable and offers even better support than my Temperpedic. It was also a third of the price and one size larger.
