Him: 185 pounds Her: 145 pounds Both Side Sleepers He says it is the most comfortable bed he's tried (and we've tried a few) She feels like a train ran over her every morning and has chronic back and shoulder pain now. Limbs go numb at night. Tossing and turning all night. Haven't got any good sleep this month (we've been sleeping on the Purple for 30 days) About 1 week ago we put a memory foam topper on the bed. Now He isn't getting good sleep. And She does loose circulation in limbs, but still tosses and turns and can't get a good nights rest and has chronic back and shoulder pain. So, basically, the topper just makes it so both of us aren't getting adequate rest. We're going to return and try a new mattress. We're down to the last on our list. If it doesn't work for him, but it does for her, we'll return it and order a twin purple for him and a twin of whatever works for her. :P Not ideal, but better than both getting crappy sleep. We have had many beds over the years and our queen Purple is without a doubt the most comfortable. The first thing I noticed is there is NO rolling into the middle as you do with old spring beds. This means your using the entire suface of the Purple bed without fighting to stay on either side, so the bed itself just feels bigger. We love that there is no motion transfer when you are moving or getting in or out. But the real question, yes it is by the most comfortable bed I have ever slept. I am now sleeping through the night and told my wife that I want to just hug the bed when I am sleeping. Totally worth the $$$ don't think about it and just do it. You will not be disappointed.

With my old mattress, i was constantly waking up with back pains. Now with Purple, I sleep and wake up extremely refreshed which is something I haven't experienced for a long time. I would say the original mattress is not firm by any means. Its more on the softer side due to the design.

The bed is super comfortable our cat loves it too! I have back problems so sleeping on this bed was a major relief. It was easy to open and unfold, as for carrying it I wish it had side handles to hold while moving it since it moves like jelly. The customer support was excellent in making sure it was perfect. We love it so far!

It's a bit firmer than I expected. It took a couple of weeks to get used to. I've been thinking about trying out the 3 or 4 inch. I don't really like sleeping on my side on it usually I'll end up on my stomach. I got the soft stretch sheets though and those are downright awesome.

Since we have bought this bed, my sleep is more heavenly then I could have ever Imagined..... I love my new mattress so much! I was starting to have back pain with my old mattress and after about two weeks on this mattress I can safely say no more pain!

We ordered the Purple split king mattress in anticipation of also purchasing the new power base. We wanted to love it, but after even just one night on it, it was clear that the mattress was too firm for us. Both my wife and I woke up sore. We tried it for several nights, but it just wasn't working. The top layer feels really nice at first, but it seems like the underlying foam layers aren't cushy enough. I'm giving 3 stars because a firm bed might be great for some, just not for us. Also, the whole purchasing and returning process was really smooth. The customer service was great. The bed seems really high quality, but just not a good fit for us.

I bought 1 6 years ago. Bought 2 more last week, I figure my child and inlaws and or guests deserve it as well. Thanks you purple for making a mattress that doesn't suck like every mattress I've ever owned. Now I don't ever really have to think about my bed anymore as a problem. It's truly a place to sleep.

We have never slept better on another mattress! The purple mattress is awesome! We ordered it based solely on other reviews. We moved to a new state and wanted a new mattress, so ordered it and a frame (plus the sheets and mattress pad). We planned to try it for a few nights and if we didn't like it, then it would go to our guest room. We kept it! So, the platform frame is in the guest room with the old king mattress on it. And we put the purple mattress on our box springs. I wanted to figure out how to get the platform into our bed frame, but without cutting it up, there wasn't a way, so my purple mattress is a little low in the frame since it isn't as thick as my old mattress, but I still sleep like a baby!

I was sleeping alone when I got mattress and man did I love it. Back felt great, slept like a baby. However, I've decided it's simply not meant for two people. Now I'm sleeping either in half purple half memory foam because I'm on the edge of the bed, OR were both falling into the middle because each other's weight gives the bed a slight slant, so we're never quite flat which is giving me hip problems. Tough to make any changes after losing so much... Wouldn't recommend this bed to couples
