I'm now just about 1 year into my purchase of the purple mattress. I sleep worse now then I did before on a pillow top. This mattress has failed in the center ( where my hips are positioned) and now is squishy to the point I cannot sleep unless I move to the other side. I sleep alone on one side and am glad because I thought it was just maybe me. But I found that when I moved to the other side there definatly is a integrity problem with internal support , very disappointed in this bed, I thought I had a good one for a while. This bed is no good after close to a year, it sinks and loses support now I suffer with back pain more often each night as time goes on. I Would never suggest the purple bed to anyone that isn't a child. I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT THIS BED

I've always been a fan of firm, some might say "hard" mattresses, because my back needs the support, so the Purple mattress took some adjusting. It's very, very soft. However, this is also the most gently supportive mattress on which I've ever slept. I wouldn't say it cured all my sleep problems, but it did eliminate "mattress" as one of them. Honestly, my only complaint (if you can even call it that) is sometimes when I readjust position I can feel the metal frame underneath. It's not necessarily uncomfortable, and goes away once I get fully situated, but it's something I would imagine could be eliminated by switching to something like a honeycomb woven support rather than crossbars.

The mattress is very comfortable, the perfect balance of firm and soft. My back and hips were really hurting with our previous mattress and it has been great ever since we received our purple mattress. Also, my husband has had problems with his sciatic nerve in the past, but it has not bothered him at all since we got the new mattress.

I've had my new mattress for 3 -4 weeks. My old mattress sagged in the middle after only a few weeks, so I had to get a new one but didn't want the old kind of mattress especially now that they don't have 2 sides for flipping. So far, no more body aches and pains. So hope it lasts a long time. Thanks Purple. Also return of pillow was fairly easy, except my printer doesn't work any more so had my son print and ship. Got refund in good time.

I have been sleeping on my purple twin mattress for a month now. I had a queen mattress and when I switched to the twin for the van I knew it was the right choice. I still use my purple sheets and purple pillow. I highly recommend this brand for side sleepers or anyone that gets hot at night.

The Purple Mattress gives me more support than my previous mattress, but it is still uncomfortable because of the bumpy cells. The sheet set is very very thin and although soft, I feel all the bumps in the mattress. Even with my own sheet over it, it's still uncomfortable. The packaging that came with it was very nice, but won't make for a good nights sleep no matter how fancy it is. I must say, the materials and the way the mattress is made is a unique concept. It just didn't work for me.

After all my research I knew this was the one. After much anticipation I flopped down and to my surprise ... it didn't feel that special. HOWEVER. The Purple is not your heavenly angel cloud bed and it never claimed to be. It is your good-night-sleep-keep-you-supported bed. And that it does so well. Basically all other beds are ruined for me now. I love this mattress for many reasons, but if there's one thing I have to point to bedsides how comfortable it is once you adapt to it and how well you sleep it is this: minimal motion transfer. My partner is a big time flopper to the point where it would wake me up. Now I don't even feel him moving around. It's wonderous. I recommend this mattress to anyone and everyone. Also important: the 30 day test period. At first I didn't think it had turned out to be that special, however after the 30 days I really noticed a difference in how comfortable I felt and my improved sleep. Buy this mattress you won't regret it!

I've been in need of a new mattress for quite a while now, my old one was 20 years old and well past when it should have been replaced. I've known about Purple for a while now, but never really gave them much consideration. I wish I would have so much sooner. I've been a field paramedic for the past twelve years and it has taken its toll on my body. My right shoulder, lower back, both hips, right knee and both ankles aren't what they used to be. My old mattress left me feeling stiff with aches in the morning and I would actually feel tired when waking up instead of rested. I'm a side sleeper and typically fall asleep on my left side, but usually end up on my right side causing my right shoulder to hurt even more. My Purple mattress was delivered this Monday 4-1-19 and when I got home from work I set it up. After getting it setup I laid on it and was amazed at how comfortable it is. With my old mattress I felt like certain spots were being pushed into instead of supported. With the Purple mattress, It's like zero gravity. Just neutral and incredibly comfortable. Flat on my back, laying on both sides, laying face down, there wasn't a single position that felt uncomfortable. My first night was amazing, I woke up and didn't hurt. No aches, no stiff joints, no pain and I felt rested, not tired. I absolutely cannot remember the last time that has happened. Last night was more of the same. No aches, pains, stiff joints or feeling tired. I've only had this mattress two days now, but I am completely satisfied. If you're in need of a new mattress or are looking to upgrade, I cannot recommend the Purple mattress enough. Yes, it's expensive but it's absolutely worth every penny. Do yourself a huge favor and take the plunge on a Purple mattress.

I bought the Purple mattress (Original style) to relieve insomnia and back pain. At the time I did not need a new mattress, I needed a new type of mattress. Didn't review it then, wanted to see if it stood the test of time. Nearly four years later, it remains the best and most used investment in my health and comfort. Since it was for my health, and they were running a special, I went all-in and bought everything from the foundation, bedding, and the original style pillow. (I am a back-sleeper, the height of the original pillow keeps my neck aligned). Having the bedding made especially for the mattress made sense; the company would only want the best experience for users. The foundation is very sturdy and I can use an antique bed frame. The pillow is so heavy, but it doesn't shift around when I do, so it is always comfy.

I bought a King-size Purple bed about 4-5 years ago when they first were hitting the market. I received samples of the material and was excited to try. I loved my king-size bed and the original mattress material. I have since bought a new Queen size original mattress and it seems like they may have changed there materials possible because this bed does not feel like the original king-size mattress I bought. I have not been happy with my new purchase.
