I bought Purple based almost entirely upon reading reviews, and I'm glad I did! It's hard to describe, but the Purple mattress is pleasantly soft, but provides the perfect amount of resistance just beneath that softness. Kind of like a rubber band, resisting and giving at the same time in just the right amounts. You just have to experience it- It's hard put into words, but by far the best mattress. Now I just need to find the right pillow.

Once upon a time (when I was first born, probably) I had no back pain or issues with my knees. Ever since then, I have always had concerns because I'm swayback and my kneecaps slide out of joint causing pain and inflammation. I grew up on pillow-top mattresses tall enough for a princess but while comfy didn't really help/hurt my back, etc. My most recent pillow-top mattress was pretty good but collapsed over time to where I felt like I could slide off the bed and fall prey to the shadow monsters lurking below. So I bought an expensive Tempur-Pedic mattress that even had the cooling feature. They said to give it 30 nights but it only took one for my lower back to feel like it had been beaten by golf clubs for 8 hours. I banished that mattress back to the manufacturer. Enter Purple, my knight in shining armor. Ordered it online (figured why not? nothing could be worse than the Tempur-Pedic) and a week and a half later the king-sized mattress was at my front door looking like a fancy purple crepe. After trying to get it upstairs by myself (I'm a tad stubborn..) my husband and I joined forces and got it into the bedroom. We unpacked it, gave it an hour to unsquish, put on the Malouf mattress protector followed by our comfiest sheets. No joke, I lay on the mattress for 2 minutes and the back and knee pain literally start melting like lipstick you accidentally left in the car on a hot summer day (FYI it's messy and sad.. RIP Nars) and it's wonderful. It gives the support I need like a good bra, but I still sink into it in places like I would with a soft mattress. No, I didn't try the raw egg test. But if this mattress can cradle my fat butt I'm sure it can cradle an egg. BRB SLEEPING

I have been sleeping on the purple mattress for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it. This is the best mattress I have ever owned. I recommend it to everyone. My back feels amazing and the bed stays nice and cool (but not too cool). My only complaint would be that having a bed this comfortable makes getting up early REALLY hard sometimes, even for a morning person like myself!

Wasn't sure how the experience would be seeing as how I own a temperpedic and love that bed but since I've had the purple I find that I actually like it better. It's so soft and comfortable, no moving around trying to get comfy because no matter how you lay the bed hold you just right so that you're extremely comfy. Would definitely purchase again. Just for reference I bought the original purple mattress as I've read a lot of reviews saying that because the new purple has springs that they tend to sag/ dip and I didn't wanna deal with that.

Excellent product! The "hatched" design is quite innovative, and provides support where I need it. I move a lot in my sleep, switching from one position to another. Purple manages to adapt to my sleeping styles, maintaining prime comfort throughout the night. I've had this mattress for about 3 months and I have no complaints.

We got the bed, just like anyone else. FedEx guy hauls it up to the door, knocks, and immediately leaves. There's a massive 110lb cylinder sitting outside. We were excited! After opening, which it was easy just as all the other reviews say, we slept that night like a dream. After about a week, my wife still hadn't gotten used to a more firm bed (6 out of 10 is a fair assessment), we like soft plush things usually. She actually said, I am not sure this bed is all its cracked up to be. Now well over a month of sleeping on it, we ave come to the conclusion that we have never slept better. This bed is heaven. Additionally, we have had a couple nights over the past month and a-half that we had to sleep on a different bed, and we slept awful. THIS BED IS SO WORTH IT.

This is not your average mattress. Do not be mislead, it's not plush or fluffy but boy does it work!! Husband and I have had a high pillow top mattress for the past 5 years and it's super welcoming but my shoulder pain was only getting worse and impacting not only sleep but my whole day. Physical Therapy didn't work so I Decided to try a new mattress. We are so happy we tried Purple. This is a sturdy, somewhat firm mattress but the conforming support is amazing!! It might take a little getting used to at first since it's not plush, it's not high and it doesn't have bells and whistles but for me it has helped my sleep and my day altogether! It is also great at absorbing movement. Thanks Purple!!

Went around looking for a mattress to purchase and we heard about the purple mattress. Luckily my SO and I have a couple of friends that own a purple mattress and have nothing but great things to say. Went ahead and pulled the trigger and purchased it. The anticipation was agonizing since my back has been aching for a new bed to lay on. And to our surprise the mattress arrived sooner than expected! It's been one full month since our purchase and I have not regretted it and my back is thanking me. Thanks for providing a great bed to sleep on!

I have slept on the king size bed for a month and a half now. It is already almost worn out. There is sagging in the middle of the mattress and I can feel the frame through the bed. All the advertising about the egg drop are miss leading. I would expect a mattress to last longer than a month and a half especially for the price of a king size mattress.

After a pipe burst, insurance had an out clause. We had a temper pedic. I broke a hip at 26, with ongoing hip pain until my temper pedic, but the cost. Husband's co-workers all have purple mattresses and love theirs. We tried it. Without a base, the mattress sinks into the springs and you can feel the ridges of the base. So we added a box spring, my hips are on fire every night. The 100 night guarantee is not long enough. 6 months and paid off the bed. I would have returned it if that was still an option. Love the purple pillow but not the regular overpriced pillow. Sheets are Jersey soft, stretchy and need washed regularly to hold shape. Super pretty purple.
