Have had the mattress for a few weeks now and from day 1 it has been great. Wife has had no issues with discomfort. At 6'5" and 230 lbs. I have found that I can easily sleep in any position, comfortably. Previous mattress allowed only left side sleep and then would experience pressure points that would not allow a deep sleep. Sleep now is deep without the tossing and turning as before so the feeling of a complete nights slumber has made me well rested and more energetic and at 63 I need all of that I can get. This is the first mattress of this type that we have ever used and will not try any other. Purple from now on.

I will preface this by saying I didn't do my due diligence and research about firmness scale of this mattress. Boy it is ROCK firm. I felt like I was sleeping on a pile of bricks! I am a small petite female, side sleeper and this literally hurt my ribs when I joke up in the mornings. i gave up three weeks in and asked for a refund. It just wasnt worth the back and side pain. May be a great mattress for a person who likes firm but def not for me. Customer service was excellent!

I have gone through 3 mattresses!! THREE!!! In less than 10 years. I have suffered with serious hip pain. I have bought new shoes, gone to the Chiropractor and had countless massages (which I do not regret, who regrets a great massage) and nothing would fix the pain permanently. I bought this mattress for our guest bed after my daughter showed me the commercial, which is very humorous by the way. The claims just seemed ridiculous to me. I had heard similar claims about the other mattresses I had purchased. But you had a 100 day try it or return it so I thought, what the heck. I wanted my guests to be comfortable. WELL...when it arrived and we set it up, which was easy as pie, I decided to take a nap. I woke up for the first time in years with NO pain, I repeat, NO PAIN!! I was elated. I love our guest mattress so much we are planning on buying one for our bed also. We have been saving up and will be purchasing ours soon. For now when my husband is out of town on business I sleep in the guest room and wake up with no pain and I have noticed because of the better sleep and no pain I have much more energy. Thank you for providing such a wonderful product, you now have a customer for life!!

When I was a young man, I could sleep anywhere with no problems, on the floor, on a couch, in the bed of a truck, even on a concrete porch. Fast forward to when I hit 30. I started waking up with various back and neck pains the very day I turned 30, almost like an age related curse. Who knew being 30 could suddenly feel so old and painful? I've tried a few different beds but I never bought one that I considered expensive (anything over $1,000.00 is expensive to me) but my parents have tried every new fad that came out over the years including those number beds and not memorable foam and adjustable hospital type beds. They have never found one that helped them and would ask if I wanted their old one when they got the next new one. I'd try them with no better results than they had. Now that I'm in my 40's, my pain in the mornings was worse than ever. I'd always wake up with lower back pain and could hardly get out of bed sometimes but I would have to or I'd just hurt even worse the longer I stayed in bed. After getting out of bed and moving around for an hour or so, I would be ok, until the next morning at least. I don't even remember how I stumbled on an ad for Purple. I read several reviews and the vast majority were very positive, a good sign, but I'm a skeptic and have seen too many cases of false reviews so I kept looking and researching on it. I admit, I liked the egg test video, it wasn't too commercial and boring like a lot of ads, it seemed they were having fun and really believed in the product and expected it to sell it self if you tried it. I gave in and decided to give it a shot, it couldn't be any worse than what I had. I figured with the 100 night trial, I'd have no problems because frankly it wouldn't really take that long to see if it was all they claimed. I put the mattress on the bed the day it came in and went to bed at my normal time. I've never had any problems falling asleep, it was always getting good sleep that was the problem. I was surprised when I woke the next morning actually rested for a change. I had not awoken a single time in the night due to tossing and turning. To be fair, I did have a slight ache in my shoulder but none in my lower back, that's a first in about 4 years for me! The second morning I found myself not wanting to get out of bed, not because it hurt to move but because I was actually comfortable. I now have a love hate relationship with my Purple mattress. I love going to bed on it, but I hate to get out of it and go to work in the mornings. There's worse problems to have though, like waking up tired and in pain every morning. I've noticed that this bed actually supports me everywhere. It has enough give to let my booty sink in and have the mattress actually reach and support my lower back. So instead of my back conforming to the mattress, it conforms to my back. I believe this is why I now sleep sooo much better. I go to sleep on my back and sleep that way until the sun comes up and I start rolling over to get away from the sunlight. I'm not 100% sure it would be as comfortable if I slept on my side but I have had no problems reading on my side and being uncomfortable so I think it would be ok for that too. One other thing (two actually) that I like is, even though it has enough give to allow for my rounder and heavier body parts to sink a little, which is what allows it to support the other parts, it doesn't just let you totally sink in like a typical foam mattress does and therefore it doesn't get hot like a foam mattress does. For reference, I'm 5'8'' tall and weigh 200lbs. I've been telling my family, friends and even the local UPS delivery driver about how much I love this mattress and how much better I feel since I purchased it, now I'm telling you too. IT'S GREAT! Thanks, Purple, you've made my nights and mornings enjoyable again!

I use to wake up with aches and pains, but I'm only 32 years old! That isn't right. We got a purple bed and the 2 standard pillows. It was strange at first and it's been more than 2 weeks now. After the first day I don't hurt anymore and am slowly converting to being a side sleeper from a belly sleeper. I sleep cooler and wake up refreshed. My wife loves it too and so do our dogs I think! Thanks!

Waking up with back or hip pain had become a daily issue for us. My husband had even seen a doctor because of his hip pain. After spending so much on our soft and extra plush pillow top, we thought something had to be medically wrong. If our old pillow top mattress was comfortable at first and causing this pain, we did not want another like it, and we did not like the sinking in and stuck feeling many of the memory foams gave us. Choosing a new bed is so difficult. So many choices out there. My husband sleeps mainly on his stomach and I am a back & side sleeper. Finding a bed that gives both the comfort and support needed and wanted not easy. While our research uncovered several that we thought might meet our needs, we were a bit nervous on how this bed would work out for us. Neither of us are light weights, and we both get hot easy at night, so the purple's added ability to stay cool convinced us to give it a try. The bed was more firm than we were used to but we both felt the difference in how we felt the very first morning after and every morning since. It has more than met our expectations. We both stay cool all night and neither of us wake up in pain!!! We love our purple bed!!!

I love the mattress. I love how the platform base gives me more under-bed storage room. I love how I can comfortably sleep on my back for the first time in years and not feel my muscles tensing up to accommodate for posture. I would buy Purple again in a heartbeat. There is just one problem in my opinion. Even after making my purchase, I am still barraged by ads for Purple everywhere I browse online. It is getting rather ludicrous. I already bought your product and I'm a satisfied customer, you don't need to keep pushing your product with me.

Was a fast delivery, easy to set up. It immediately relieved shoulder pain my old matress caused. Experienced pain in hips for first 2 weeks but disappeared. Husband was concerned it was not firm enough at first but is adjusting. We have couple of months to decide whether to keep or not. So far we are adjusting well & thinking this is good investment.

We originally ordered an original purple, and we were really hopeful that we would love it, but my husband couldn't even lay on it for 10inutes. He has multiple ruptured discs, and the extremely firm feel of the mattress wasn't working for him. I slept on it for a week or.two while we negotiated an exchange, and that time couldn't go by fast enough. My back was spasming, and the pressure of this "no-pressure" mattress was excruciating! But then the 4 came. We went for the total.opposite end of the spectrum. So. Soft. It felt like heaven. I wanted to fall instantly in love, but it wasn't to be. I tossed, turned, ached, and agonized. My muscles kept cramping and spasming.uscle memory is a powerful thing, y'all. My back muscles were trying to support me and protect me from my old mattress still. Two weeks was the magic number when the pain started easing, but even during that time of broken sleep and waking up hurting, I was actually waking up feeling more rested. My son won't sleep in his room anymore. Even my husband, who has been sleeping on the couch for 4 years due to.no mattress agreeing with his back problems, can take naps.on it. "Naps". They turn into 4+ hour snore sessions *lol*. I think he could sleep through the night, if he'd give it a chance. TL:Dr the adjustment period is real. Really real. Painfully, real. Don't get discouraged too quickly. Bear in mind your preferences. If you don't like firm mattresses, go for the 3 or 4. If you're heavy, go for the more plush layer. Don't expect it to feel like any other mattress. It's definitely unique. I am now in love with my Purple!

First night I slept on my queen purple, all I can remember the next day was the lucid dreams I had!! Didn't remember falling asleep. I'm bummed when I have to leave home for work and sleep in hotel beds but getting home and back to my purple is joyous!! Thanks, you have won my respect for a superior sleep system!! Nice job!!!!
