Wife used to wake up with sore neck and shoulder and often a headache, but no more. My hip used to hurt after sleeping on the old mattress. On the Purple bed, not only does it not hurt after sleeping but if it WAS sore when I went to bed on the Purple Bed, it DIDN'T hurt any more in the morning. Only "problem" is DANG that thing is heavy!! It really does take at least two people to wrangle the thing. I seriously doubt we will be going back to our old mattress . . . . . EVER!!!

We absolutely love the mattress! It is everything we expected in feel and comfort. However, it is important to note that the way the mattress is constructed it has curved in sides from bottom to top. So, the actual sleeping surface is 1 to 2 inches shorter than the advertised measurements. After recieving one mattress that was clearly cut too short in both width and length we had it replaced with one that was better, but still had the curved in sides. So, I assume this is intentional in the manufacturing process as it does appear that the top layer of hyper-elastic polymer material is 1 to 2 inches shorter in both length and width than the other two layers. This is a great mattress and I would highly recommend it to most poeple, but I think Purple is not delivering quite what they promise, especially for taller people like myself. I usually have no problem sleeping on a queen bed, but the the king Purple mattress presents some challenges for me.

This mattress has been such a blessing! I am almost 37wks pregnant with our sixth child and I have not had any trouble sleeping so far. I'm not even using any pillows like what I had to with my other pregnancies. On a regular mattress I had to use multiple pillows due to severe hip pain. So thankful to be getting my rest this time around! I waited to post this review until the end just to see how it would work for me. Not dissapointed at all. Totally recommend it!

My husband and I were both waking up with pain--his back and hips, my lower back. After just one night on our Purple, we both woke up with significantly less pain, and now, three weeks in, the pain is gone! We stayed in a hotel for Thanksgiving and really missed our Purple--hubby didn't sleep at all, he was so uncomfortable. We were very happy to get back home to our own bed!

My wife and I have been sleeping on a Serta iComfort for about 5 years now - it was "soft" and "Comfy" since day one, but after the first couple years I began waking up with a sore lower back and shoulders. My wife and I decided it was time for a change, and we researched all of the popular mattresses on the market as of now (summer 2019). After trying out the Tuft and Needle, Serta, Tempurpedic, and Necter - we settled on the Original Purple. After the very first night, I no longer wake up sore, and neither of us move around overnight any more! You never realize how bad it was until you try something new - and Purple is truly different!

After previously purchasing two of your chair cushions, I figured why not try the mattress. My husband is a paraplegic and if the mattress is too soft it's hard for him to transfer on and off. While the Purple mattress seems to be soft to the touch, laying on it proved otherwise. It was neither too firm nor too soft. We've only had it for a couple of weeks but can already tell how much better we sleep!

Mattress was delivered reasonably quick. However communication regarding my order and back ordered items (which was not mentioned at ordering) could have been a lot better. I had to keep following up rather than be informed from Purple on the status. Was billed up front for items I didn't receive until well over a month later! Mattress is nice however I'm not yet convinced its any better than the $2-300 one I had before. Sides of the mattress could be re-enforced as they tend to be a little weak and cave in when sitting on the edge. Otherwise mattress seems fairly comfy and have not noticed any other sagging/issues elsewhere. Will see how things change as time goes on... :)

I am loving this mattress! I was disappointed at first, it felt too firm and I was seriously considering sending it back. I then read on the website that you need to give your body time to adjust to it. I am so glad I did! It is the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned! I have tried a waterbed, several air beds, box spring mattresses, you name it. This mattress is amazing! It seems to get more soft and comfortable every day! Thank you Purple! P.S. I used the waterbed frame from my previous mattress, the Purple Mattress fit in it beautifully!

My wife and I love our new purple matress, it is amazing how comfortable we sleep now. At our age waking up without aches and pain from an unforgiving matress is a God send, thank you purple for your technology, no sweeping from a memory foam type, no sore shoulders or hip from a spring type matress and most of all a comfortable sound sleep with out a physical disturbance.

After trying the Leesa mattress initially, I decided to give Purple a shot, just to make sure I settled with the best one. I'm so glad I traded out! My initial impression was positive-- it felt ready to sleep on immediately upon opening the packaging and had no chemical smell like I had noticed with Leesa. Lying down on it, it is noticeably more responsive and "springy". The Leesa memory foam was nice, but I sunk in more than I liked, and after laying on it for a while, my body heat seemed to soften it up even more. I like that Purple feels a bit firmer, while also cradling the body's pressure points-- just like the egg test videos! It sleeps cooler, also, and I haven't woken up hot once. I've been telling all my friends and family who have even remotely considered getting a new mattress about the Purple. 10/10 would buy again =).
