The Purple Mattress Medium-Firm is great. Not too stiff, not to soft. A happy medium. Originally we got the New Day mattress and it was like sleeping on plywood, way too hard, no give if you're a side sleeper. I'm only annoyed Purple keeps asking me to review and rate and won't let me unsubscribe from emails. So here's your review.

I had originally purchased the hybrid 2 mattress and I kept waking up with hip and back pain due to the firmness of the mattress. I returned the mattress and decided on the original purple mattress which has made a world of difference! I am a relatively light person of 143 lbs, and this mattress feels much softer while still giving me the support I need. I highly recommend doing your research on which mattress is the best fit for you and your body type and sleep style.

Mattress does not last. Was told no springs, yet there are springs popping through (witin a year of purchasing it). Mattress Firm encouraged to get movable base, these two should not be used together. Does not help with snoring, nor pain.... it adds to stress for the list of things we should not have gotten. So angry that we got stuck with a bed that fell apart after we drained our bank account on it. Usually im a better shopper than this.

Like hot fudge on a sundae. That's how I feel when I slide into bed every night with this mattress. My body just sinks in and settles and the mattress does a great job cooling me down at night. I used to have to turn my ceiling fan on at night because my old mattress was a bit stuffy, even in the winter! But Purple has really changed that for me! I also love the sheets and pillow cases! They're very soft and comfortable on the skin! I wish some of my clothes were made out of this material! My only problem is that sometimes I can't find a place for my head for my neck to feel comfortable, BUT that might be due to using an ordinary pillow and the degree of compression doesn't match the mattress so that my head and spine are aligned. Overall an extremely wonderful experience!

The way I sleep, I'm all over the place. This mattress adjusts as I move perfectly. Constantly keeping my spine straight and body supported no matter what position I'm in. I used to get a lot of tension migraines from my positioning, and they've pretty much gone away since getting this mattress. And I sleep so much better already. So worth the money.

So by switching to purple I have better sleep. However, idk if this is a defect mattress or that's just how it is. Ive been using this for a month now, it was great at first. But now my weight is not evenly distributed. I always sink to the right side.

I want so badly to like this mattress. Two mattresses later, I just cannot sign off on it. To be so clear: Purple Customer Service is out of this world; I received a warranty replacement on: my mattress, my foundation, and one set of sheets I bought. Unfortunately, even the replacements to the bed and the foundation have failed. I wake up in pain every day. I often go to the guest room to sleep on an old spring mattress and wake up way more refreshed. Now, with all of this said, I am not certain that the Purple Foundation does not play some part in it here. While this is not a review of that item, I can say it is not worth the scrap price. So: Customer Service: Amazing; Sheets: pretty darn great; Mattress: probably not it; Foundation: absolutely not.

I love my Purple mattress. I haven't slept this well in ages. I have scoliosis with an S curve so my spine needs a lot of support. It feels like my spine is getting an a hug. I fall asleep quickly and sleep through the whole night, every night. That was very rare before. Since humans spend one third of their lives sleeping, this is a great investment. Thank you, Cathy

Just got the original purple mattress and I love it! I'm a side sleeper and stomach. And this mattress is perfect for me. Just enough softness for all the pressure points of my body. I'm 5'3" 169 lbs. I just got rid of my newer very expensive memory foam mattress and got the purple! Best large purchase I've made lately! Hope it's a good for for the next person who orders. I am now a happy sleeper.

My husband and I decided to buy a bigger mattress, but knew we couldn't fit a king-sized mattress up our narrow city staircase, so bed-in-a-box it was. We did a ton of research and landed on Purple - we were nervous about the "feels firm yet you sink into it" feeling of a true memory foam mattress, and we have a friend who already has a Purple mattress and loves it. We will never go back. It is literally like sleeping in the most comfortable hotel bed every single night. I have low back problems and need support, and feel great every morning. We are both on the lighter side (120-170 lbs) and are varietal sleepers, though we tend to side sleep the most.
