Before upgrading to PURPLE I was using your standard memory foam mattress for the past 10 years. In my years of experience, memory foam tends to hold a lot of body heat, and I mention this because I sleep hot. Also, memory foam eventually breaks and gives eventually making "dips" or "ruts" in the area of the bed you sleep most. After many arduous hours of research before investing in a mattress I kept coming back to PURPLE's website. PURPLE is the only company that has the unique purple grid where is everyone else is based off of different types of ways using memory foam. In the end though it's all still memory foam. After reading the reviews and watching enough videos I was sold on the PURPLE mattress especially after learning that these mattresses sleep cool and "breathe". Also, I would like to mention this. All my life I've used two pillows to try and find that perfect comfort level, but could never really achieve it. I purchased the Harmony pillow 7.5", and it is the perfect height and is so amazingly comfortable. Additionally, I purchased the purple stretch sheets and gravity blanket. All in all every bit of technology and comfort Purple has sent to my house has been phenomenal. This is the stuff dreams are made of!!!

We purchased the original purple mattress a few weeks back. Ordering and delivery was excellent. This is the first bed without springs I have used. I like the way the bed feels conforms to my body. It is a tad too firm for my shoulder though but everything else feels great. I am not a fan of memory foam because I move a lot at night and this bed works great that way. I do wish it was a bit less firm but over all a great bed.

I am thrilled with this mattress. I have been sleeping on it for about three weeks. I love the feeling of the squares. While I did not know I would be able to feel them in the mattress, the squares feel like a safety net. They hug around your body in a way that makes you notice. I think it is a nice feeling. I purchased the twin. My old mattress was starting to give me back pain, so I knew I needed an upgrade. My back is already much better. I sleep in crazy positions. The packaging was well above my expectations. The mattress came in a purple tube with handles that made it easy to move. There was a ton of plastic packaging. I was not a huge fan of this because it seemed like a lot of waste but that is personal preference. But seriously this packaging will blow your mind. I also purchased the mattress protector and purple sheet set. The protector is seamless under my sheets. I have not "tested" it exactly but I love the material. My purple sheets are pretty awesome! I wish there was a better description of the products. Since I will be sleeping on these products I would have liked to know how they felt before they were shipped to me. That being said I do like the feeling of these sheets but it was not what I expected. The sheet material is like that of a "t-shirt". It was very soft! A little clingy but I do not mind that in the summer. I would definitely buy again. I do not think I will be needing another mattress but I am already thinking about another set of sheets! I am very pleased with my purchase. Definitely worth the money.

Breaks down quickly. If you're looking for a high use mattress to last, choose another. My wife and i got great sleep for the first few months, but now there is a definitive ridge between the two of us. We aren't big people either. Gave it 2 stars because it does sleep well when it's new. If we were to do it all over again we'd invest a little more money into another mattress.

I was no longer able to sleep on my 12 year old pillow top mattress. The indentations on each side where my wife and I sleep were permanent and giving us daily debilitating back pain. I did as much research as I could and decided to buy a Purple. Not only did I get the mattress, but the full package of platform base, sheets, mattress protector, and pillow. Our first night was interesting. Between the smell of the mattress and the smell of the pillow we almost couldn't stand it. A change in the mattress was hard for our bodies to adjust to, so we didn't get much sleep the first week but we noticed our backs were not in as much pain. There was also some unexpected stiffness that we hoped would go away. Almost 60 days sleeping on this mattress I would give it 3 stars if my wife didn't like it so much. She sleeps well, doesn't have pain or stiffness, and has no complaints. I however still have daily stiffness which is very uncomfortable, though the actual spinal pain has lessened and is nearly eliminated. The stiffness seems to be muscle related and is probably not just the mattress' fault. For me, this mattress is like medicine. It's not comfortable and I don't look forward to sleeping in it, but I can't deny that it does feel better than an old broken mattress. If only it had a little more top cushioning...and then they released the new spring mattresses with the options for more top cushioning. Unfortunately I don't have the extra cash to afford a deluxe Purple mattress even if I return the one I have. I would send it back if I could find a better mattress that I could afford, but I'm not sure that it exists. A spring pillow top mattress might be more comfortable, but they wear out too fast and are not worth the long term problems. All other mattresses seem to have too many cons, or are basically the same as Purple. So because my wife sleeps well I guess we'll keep it and I'll just hope that I'm just being too picky about a mattress that is probably as comfortable as it gets. I will add it does sleep very cool, but not so cool that my wife ends up freezing (she gets cold easily). I wish this was the mattress of my dreams, and I can't deny it's pretty good, but if only there was a mattress that took all the pain and stiffness away and that I couldn't wait to sleep in each night.

My wife and I got a purple mattress a year ago. She loved it immediately. It took me a while to get used to it, but I now prefer it to other mattresses. My kids raved about the Purple when they lounged around in our room, so I got one for each of them. They are super happy with them.

The platform with the "lattice" support system beats a box spring without question..I've slept on memory mattresses in the past and the support is terrific, but so is the heat! Purple gives me the support I need with no uncomfortable "side effects" Ron

After having slept on this purple mattress for the first week, I'll never buy another brand. My wife and I are both taller, and we live very active lives, so having a reliable mattress was the most important consideration for us. I've ever slept better.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. I have arthritis in my hips and was no longer able to sleep on my side, which is my preferred sleep position. I purchased the purple mattress and am now able to sleep on my sides again! The only problem I now have is when we travel. Motels/hotels do not have this mattress, therefore, back to the issue of not being able to sleep soundly on my sides. I wouldn't give this mattress up - in love with this mattress. I whole heartedly recommend this mattress. I sleep through the night, never to hot, never stiff in the morning!

We bought the Purple Mattress just shy of 30 days ago. It came quickly to our home and was easy to unpackage and get set up on our bed. We are still unsure if we will keep this mattress. We are continuing to wake up sore and stiff. I will say, the technology does keep us nice and cool, but I find the little rubber squares kind of irritating to feel under the sheets. I'm thinking we will return- not really any technical problems with this mattress but feel like there is a better fit for us out there.
