It's been about 1 month now and I have no complaints when it comes to comfort! Great support (I'm a back sleeper) on my lower back even when I switch to my side! Soft, yet firm. Hard to explain without trying yourself. Definitely a "cooler" night sleep than the icomfort I used to have. I did have difficulty unwrapping the mattress. Tons of shrink wrap! And when I finally got it to unroll it was upside down!! (my only complaint) I then had to wrestle with it to flip it over! Big hassle when you live alone. I have already recommended this to friend and family! Try it and you'll love it!

I normally wake up every half an hour, every time I roll over, I'm a super light sleeper due to pain. Hip and back pain. I am now able to sleep for hours without moving. I've even caught myself on my back, which has been impossible for most of my life, due to pain.

I bought a queen sized mattress and platform base. This was the first "luxury" mattress I've ever owned and it met every expectation and fantasy I had. I woke up without back or hip pain for the first time that I can remember and continue to do so everyday. I fall asleep on the mattress by accident because it is so comfortable. The platform base, while not extravagant, is very functional and 1000percent easy to assemble/dissemble. AND it being 18 inches helped a lot, personally. There really doesn't seem to be any embellishment in Purple's advertising. Their mattress is fantastic. If I had the money I'd get the powerbase, maybe next year.

A few weeks ago, I decided to open my King Purple Mattress as I am preparing for a hip replacement next month. Additionally, I waited until my two young children were with their mother as I am finalizing a divorce so that I could actually unroll without constant interruptions... The primary reason I picked Purple was the simplicity of How to Unroll Your Purple Mattress as shown on your company YouTube account. I am also from Utah and do not have family in the area and was unable to find a person to assist so I was drawn to this simple process. However, step 3 as described in the YouTube video text "Starting at the zipper, use the cutting tool to cut through the entire length of the tube" is where my experience took a bad turn. When I unzipped the purple plastic tube, there was no slicing tool needed to open (see attached photos showing missing from Mattress Owner's Guide). I then decided to try and use my knife to open it enough to find because I assumed it had just fallen off the staple and was close. Unfortunately, I cut my hand badly as I attempted to do so, and after getting the plastic tube off (after treating my injury) did not find the slicing tool in any of the packaging (even after I discarded). After two weeks of sleeping I have enjoyed the bed, but this has dramatically changed my experience and will alter how I communicate to others about the Purple brand. Until now, I had heard great things and have been telling all of my friends/family how excited I was and that they should look into it because it is such a simple process. This missed simple step in the process has made this a very poor experience so far and one I am regretting ... especially considering paying a premium price for a product. When you do that, you expect the best experience... even more than the best product. Contacted customer support the day of the incident and have still not heard back... customer expereince and support is lacking but is a great product.

Was a fast delivery, easy to set up. It immediately relieved shoulder pain my old matress caused. Experienced pain in hips for first 2 weeks but disappeared. Husband was concerned it was not firm enough at first but is adjusting. We have couple of months to decide whether to keep or not. So far we are adjusting well & thinking this is good investment.

This is was one of the best investments I ever made. My wife and I are getting much more sleep throughout the night. We're falling asleep faster and waking up feeling more refreshed. My back feels much better when waking up in the morning. Highly recommend this product.

My previous mattress was very soft. I have never had back pains until I slept on this mattress. I'm assuming when I get used to the firmness it'll be better. After the arrival it has taken some time but I am approaching getting the same amount of sleep (not great) as I did in my old mattress that was well past retirement time. If you are making the transition from a soft mattress be prepared for a rough few weeks.

My husband and I have been sleeping on a spring mattress for a while and we been Very uncomfortable with the mattress. We need a nice soft/firm mattress that would work for the both of us. We've seen a great commercial on the purple mattress. It really caught our attention so we went for it. The mattress is pretty heavy so make sure you have help when placing it on your bed frame. The mattress felt great. It was soft and comfy not too firm at all. We did not sink into the mattress which was great. We had foam mattress where that happened before. I loved the feel of the purple and it's support but unfortunately it did not work out for us. For some crazy reason we woke up with lower back pain. I would not discourage anyone from this mattress because it's a great a product and it might work better for others. And the return process was very smooth. They are easy going and friendly. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and families.

I think what really makes this mattress a one-of-a-kind is the way it feels, how it doesn't loose its shape, the fact that it stays cool, and how it's flexible yet sturdy without being too hard or too soft. It's something you have to experience for yourself and see if it's something for you and yours

The mattress had two differences that took some time to get used to: the cooler feel and the firmness. The cooler feel of the mattress was shocking at first, but I quickly got used to that in only about two days. The firmer feel, and I like a firm mattress, took about 2-3 weeks. Once the mattress was broken in a bit, it softened up to where I don't have any shoulder soreness if I sleep on my side. I have slept like a brick ever sense I got the Purple; people should try it.
