This mattress is way too firm for my liking, I'm about 3 weeks in and I actually dread going to bed on it (my husband who likes firm beds likes it but isn't that thrilled). I'd love to try the 3 or 4, but it's a steep price and you only get to trial the first mattress purchase. So disappointed.

I've owned my Purple bed frame and mattress for a year and a half now and it was a waste of money. The mattress is fine like 5/10, the frame it sits on is awful 0/10. The cover doesn't stay on, the legs are always becoming loose, you can't fit under it to tighten the legs in the middle. It's been awful since I've bought it. I would not recommend this product to any friends or family.

Could be a little deeper mattress (about 2-3 inches more) - But does it really need to be so heavy. . . most of us can't move it by ourselves even as a couple. and making it up can even be a challenge. Also can we get the new purple bedding anywhere else?

I'm going to start off by saying I'm a fan! I never took the time to write a review before because let's face it, usually you only write when you aren't happy.... I have been happy with my purchases. My first purple purchase was a mattress about two- three years ago. It was and has been amazing! I have owned a crazy number of types of mattresses with some pretty ridiculous price tags (17k was about the biggest) and I can honestly say the purple mattress is the only one I still own out of all of them! Since my original purchase we have added an additional mattress and four pillows (2 OG and 2 of the latest). I didn't go with the new mattress when we decided to purchase our second because quite frankly if it's not broke why fix it? We love our second one as much as our first! The pillows..... it was kinda broke, so we kept our faith and they redeemed themselves with the second one! The same with mattresses, I have had my fair collection of pillows and the newest ones from purple are pretty dang comfy! It's like they watched the guy with the my pillow ad and said hey I'm gonna take his slogan and go actually make the pillow they are talking about (the my pillow guy didn't even do that)...... so basically if you want an all around comfy mattress that actually makes your body feel amazing the next day then purple is the best bang for your buck! I'm seriously waiting for our new puppy to get out of the puppy stage so I can order the pet bed.

My wife and I slept on a memory foam mattress for years and loved it with one exception. It trapped heat. I bought the Purple Mattress and have not regretted it. After a month of sleeping on it I have not overheated once. I would buy it again and have recommended it to everyone that asked about it.

I'm obsessed, like seriously. I had my old mattress for so long that the worn out, sunken in-ness had just become normal for me. Rewind to me in bed, uncomfortable and not knowing it, watching YouTube videos and seeing an ad about the "raw egg test" & I was sold. As a marketer myself, I have high expectations of digital ads and yours was an absolute success. It was honestly the first digital ad that I've probably ever watched all the way through and I'm glad I did. So props to your advertising team, I always watch part (if not all!) of your ads when they pop up because they're so entertaining. So, congrats on what I expect to be incredibly high video completion rates. Fast forward to my actual purchasing of the mattress. You all made it so easy to purchase even with a payment plan. And then comes your account management, incredible. My wait wasn't even terribly long and yet you still sent me a few emails reminding me that you haven't forgotten about me and where my mattress was in the process. I appreciated that so, so much. I also loved learning more about the company and your processes. Now, the back/shoulder pain I experienced with my old mattress has been mitigated and I'm getting some of the best sleep of my life. So, my 5 star rating goes to your engineers, marketers, account managers, those who put my favorite mattress together and EVERYONE! I'm on the waiting list for the pillows and I absolutely can't wait to order them and complete my set and sleep even better. Best, Brian Bradley

I would recommend to everyone!!!! I am a disabled Veteran and I have serious back injuries. This bed is like sleeping on a cloud. It is amazing!!! The first night was an adjustment but every night after that I have not woke up in the middle of the night and I have not woke up in pain. Thank you!!!!! I love this bed!!!

I really want this mattress and I had high expectations for it based on the hilarious commercials. I'm thrilled to say that after a month it's one of the best purchases I've ever made! I've always had trouble sleeping and I fall asleep so much faster on my Purple than any other mattress. My husband loves it too - I toss and turn a lot less and if I do it doesn't wake him up! The one downside is that when I go to a hotel or stay at someone's house the mattress is never as good as my Purple.

It's not a gimmick. It is a fantastic mattress. I'm on a medication that causes - difficulty falling asleep and the inability to stay a asleep - I know lovely, right? On the purple bed I fall asleep faster literally within 10 minutes and I stay asleep longer. Even when I do wake up throughout the night I'm able to fall back asleep again. I've been getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night and I feel like a new person. Sleep is so important for physical and mental health! Thanks Purple!

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE this mattress. I sleep very comfortably and it has relieved many of my pressure points, I wake up not wanting to roll out of bed. However, since this is asking for an honest review, I would be remiss to not mention that I have noticed that the side I normally sleep on has become slightly more sunk in than the side I do not, and I've only had the mattress for about a month (I'm 175lbs, well below the weight threshold). It is still very comfortable and has no effect on my sleep, so I haven't called in about it, but if it does become more significantly drastic I'll have to ask to get it replaced. Also, my friend insisted we try the egg test, and it worked once, but the second time when I was sitting on the egg (only the Purple mattress protector on the bed) the egg cracked ): But those two things aside, it's a great mattress, I'll update this review if the sinking becomes an issue.
