The short story is this mattress took a while to get to me, but now that it's here I love it. My original mattress had two shipping labels placed on it so once it arrived in NJ it went "missing". After many phone calls and emails Purple finally ordered me another mattress that they didn't ship unitl I spent more time emailing and calling. I probably spent a total of two hours on hold since Purple seems to have more calls then they can handle. I would've been a bit more patient about all of this if I hadn't already taken down my queen mattress and put up the king Purple base on the day I was supposed to recieve my king Purple mattress. Instead I spent three weeks climbing on and off of a heavy metal frame into my queen bed. It was frustrating to say the least. If I didn't know someone who already loved their Purple mattress I would've cancelled the order and decided that working with Purple just wasn't for me. But, I finally got the mattress and I love it. Was it worth all of the hassle? Yes. It's a fantastic mattress that feels different than I've ever experienced. It supports you in a way that feels firm, but light. It's amazing. My back and neck are already feeling better only after a few weeks. So, if you can deal with a company that seems to be growing too quickly to keep up with their customer service needs, I would say buy this mattress, your body will thank you.

I just got my Purple 3. There are so many mattress companies out there now. Which one do you choose?? I literally was doing research since early Summer. My old mattress was about 12 ys old and the Kingsdown and the body dent that developed had me rolling literally uphill every time I tried to move.. I'm a side sleeper, and change sides throughout the night. I'm also a bigger guy, about 275lbs. The first few nights on the new Purple I knew my bod was going to half to re-learn some things. I'm a week and half in and I can say, what a difference. It sleeps so cool compared to my old mattress, I'm looking for another blanket to put on the top of the bed at night. The mattress is no responsive as you move or roll. Off gassing, was minor but its not bad either.. The set up and the taking away of my old mattress to be properly disposed of was the clincher for me compared to the other mattresses I was looking at. Edge support is much better than I thought it would be too. After only two weeks, I couldn't be happier.

I couldn't sleep the whole night thru on my old mattress today, I was waking up in the middle of the night with a sore back... But the new Purple mattress is great, I slept the whole night thru and slept in the first night on the new mattress... I would probably get the upgraded, thicker version next time, but theyre great mattresses

I can't complain in any real way about the mattress or the experience with Purple. We just prefer a softer/more plush mattress and Purple didn't work for us. But everything about our purchase was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend people try them.

My husband and I have had back pain for the last 2-3 years. We thought it was from our kids sneaking into bed and forcing us to contort our bodies mid-sleep-cycle. Nope! It turns out, it was our terrible mattress. We love our new purple mattress! No matter how many minions decide to sneak in and torment us, we can walk in the morning. Thanks, Purple!

The buying was informative and quite easy, the shipping however could be better. We bought a original purple mattress, platform and got a free pillow. We waiting about a week and the pillow showed up, 3 days later the mattress showed up, I'm still waiting for the platform base. What good is a mattress I'm so excited to try out without the base to put it on?

It may seem like hype or salesmanship, but what matters is it's true! The first three weeks you may not be overly impressed but after the first Month you will find that your sleep is ore efficient and with less interruptions, We have had spring mattresses, Foam mattresses, Water and even Air mattresses over the years and we thought each was great. Then we got Purple and we have fallen in love with our bed! We love the Mattress, we love the pillows, wish they were king sized, we love the sheets and the mattress protector! We can not say enough about how great they are for a better nights sleep! The free sleep masks were a surprise and we fell in love with them, had no idea they were coming but glad they did found we did sleep better using them. Unfortunately the Grand kids have borrowed them and won't give them back. Wish we could buy some more of them, but can't find a listing for the Purple sleep masks! Bottom line get rid of your old bed and get a complete set of Purple for your bed room and it will be the best investment you can make in your life!

I have to say after reading reviews I thought the bed would be a top softer. Don't get me wrong.. its soft, but I like my bed plush. I have noticed I haven't been as achy in the mornings and I have been sleeping better. I would say all in all its a great investment.

I LOVE this mattress. I have been needing a new mattress for a long time and had been researching so many of them. Sleeping cool is a must for me so this disqualified many of the mattresses I looked into. It also had to be affordable; this disqualified others. I came across Purple on YouTube and thought the videos were hilarious. Thought I would give their 100 day period a try . . . and I was able to finance! Yes!!! Score!!! By the third day I knew I had to dispose of my old mattress because Purple is a keeper. Thank you, guys, for all your research and thought that went into developing my mattress.

noxious smell first kept me up at night, now it's dissipated a little but still fills my entire apartment with fumes. brings headaches. customer support is mechanical and vertical - agents do very little even when you speak to one. it's so bad - if i rub my hand on the mattress, the plastic smell transfer onto my hand.
