The first 2 days were hard, we've been feeling lower back pains from the matress. The third day it got better and then after that its a big relief until now. It just took my body 3 days to adjust to it, but now we love it and so comfortable. No more body pain so far. So comfortable sleeping at night and It feels great waking up every morning. We're very happy with our purchase.

I am definitely impressed with this mattress. While my husband loved it right away, I was skeptical and thought it had a funky feel. After just a few short days however, I began to get used to the feel and now sleep 10x better than on our old mattress. We got the Purple specifically because I am a hot sleeper and I have to say, even though I still turn into a furnace when I sleep my husband is able to stay cool and doesn't notice my heat. The thing that has most impressed me about Purple is the company's ability to know exactly what the consumer wants as far as communication. This was a big purchase for us, not one we were really wanting to make right now but it became a necessity when we were both barely sleeping on our old mattress. Since it was such a big purchase I was a nervous wreck that we had bought a mattress without trying it first! But, Purple sent the cutest messages to me on Facebook and via email that made me so excited to get our mattress. In fact, I loved the messages so much I had people at work asking me the status of our new Purple. Overall our experience with Purple was great and I would defiantly purchase again!

I was anxiously awaiting delivery and wasn't let down when it arrived. I came from an old (14 years...) top of the line mattress, way plush but it left me achy sometimes especially after a lot of back break work. The feel at first was maybe this is too firm and then after I awoke the next morning was quite pleased to find work was cancelled for the day leaving me to tuck back in and enjoy this new upgrade. A friend of mine recommended the Purple mattress and I did extensive research before buying it. I'm a frugal person so making this kind of purchase was a big deal to me, even with a free trial. I bought the seat cushion first and it really helped so I decided to splurge on the bed. I have pretty moderate health issues including stenosis and several herniated discs in my neck and lumbar region. I have sciatica/SI joint issues and hip and knee pain. With my old mattress, I was waking up hunched over and really struggling to walk to the bathroom when I first woke up. Now I am pretty much standing straight in the morning. I have a mirror on my door and saw a noticeable change. Listen, I still I have back and hip issues but they have improved. After about 10 days I did have a slight regression in sleep quality but I stuck it out and my body adjusted as others had said in their reviews. I bought the Purple 2 because it was firmer than the 3 and I am happy with it. The money is worth my quality of life. I do wish the mattress was a little firmer but obviously there's some science to this. I am planning to buy the pillow next. Also, if you have back issues, I suggest delivery because the mattress is very heavy. Even rotating it is a 2 person job. One last thing, I am really particular about smell and some mattresses that are packaged have an industrial smell to them which drives me crazy and give me a headache. There was a slight smell at first but it dissipated in less than a week. Overall, I recommend this mattress if you are in pain.

We were disappointed that the Purple 4 was too firm for us. My wife has arthritis and the firmness caused pain in her shoulder interrupting her sleep, so we had to return it. We used the giving to a nonprofit option and were impressed that Purple makes this available. We had some delay in our money being returned, but after calling Purple, it seems someone must have not processed our return immediately, but after this call we got our return shortly. Other than this problem we were very happy with Purple's service.

The difference this mattress makes to chronic back pain can't be overstated - it's amazing. I have had to travel overnight a few times since I've gotten it and I am *always* so grateful to be back home in my own bed. I wake up without being stiff or sore! I have recommended this mattress to several folk and I really hope for their sakes that they take my advice! I wouldn't trade this thing for anything.

My Wife and I have experienced back and neck pain despite spending a significant amount of money on our previous mattress. Since purchasing the Purple Mattress we both have seen a dramatic decrease in back and neck pain and have sustained sleep throughout the night. We both highly recommend this mattress to those seeking an alternative and solution to back and neck pain.

The first night I got the matress I loved it! It was firm and I was right on top of it! However after a few days I kinda been noticing I was sinking a few inches more than normal and it lost it's charm on that. Still love it, just bummed it isn't that nice firmness it was the first day.

I'm a back sleeper. I was attracted to Purple because bad experiences had turned me off of spring mattresses, but I doubted an all foam mattress could give me enough support. Adding thus new high tech new technology to it, though, made it sound like it could do the job - provide support while feeling soft. On the surface (no pun intended), the mattress did feel more comfortable than any I'd yet owned. It felt great as I lounged around on it on my stomach or side with my phone or laptop. When it came to sleeping, though, at first, it was a nightmare! The pain srarted in my hips and radiated up to my shoulders. It felt like my hips were sinking far lower into the mattress than the rest of my body. According to the pictures of the ideal shape of the spine, they're supposed to do that, but it HURT! On some desperate night, I rolled over to my side to relieve the discomfort. It felt VERY comfortable when on my side, but I still couldn't sleep because that's not my position. The website and customer reviews said this was common, give it time. Okay. My mattress arrived Sept. 22. Less than 2 weeks later, the pain stopped. It was by no means the most mindblowingly comfortable bed I ever slept on or anything, but usable. Then on Oct. 16, I left for a multi night bike trip and came back 11 nights later. The pain was back. And stayed for days. I decided I couldn't just stop traveling, and I couldn't go through this every time I traveled, so the first Sunday in November, I admitted defeat and called to return it. They were wonderful about it; the return process could not have been easier. My prediction came true: during the week between the initial phone call, getting a new mattress, and getting the old one picked up, I adjusted again and felt comfortable. Since it was still nothing special and I couldn't go through the adjustment process every time I slept somewhere else, I went through with the return, though. If you're a side sleeper like the vast majority of the population, I highly recommend getting this. I bet it was designed with you in mind. If you're a rare back sleeper like me, I still recommend trying it. If you don't like it, it's easy to return, but there's every chance you could like it (if you give yourself time to adjust).

I was talked into this by my son. Purchased a full size mattress, pillows and bed set. The mattress was really heavy but with help it fit perfectly on my custom platform. The mattress had what looked like a coffee stain. Wasn't happy about that but cant imagine getting this thing back into its case fro return. It will be covered anyway. The fitted sheets I ordered were really difficult to put on. Very frustrating, but then again I'm a guy and pretty lame at certain things. First night on the bed was weird. Like sleeping in a hotel room. Second night I tossed all my old pillows and just used the new ones. The bed is pretty comfortable. I would buy it again. I don't like the sheets and pillow cases. the pillow cases don't stay on and as stated before the sheets are difficult to change.
