At the end of the day everyone has different preferences on mattress qualities for their best nights sleep. I bought this mattress after having a memory foam one that I sank into before and thought this would be even better. It is quite firm and I still prefer my old mattress. I will say their customer service is excellent as I was just assisted in processing a return today after sleeping on the bed for a little over three weeks both me and my wife felt the quality of our sleep and comfort was poorer on the purple mattress than our old one. Not worth the money for me and I will not be paying the extra money to get a purple 3 or 4. The purple original is so firm it is like sleeping on a soft board. Purple does an excellent job marketing their product but don't fall for the hype, it's simply a firmer version of memory foam. If you prefer a firm bed you might love this bed! My wife and I however both prefer medium soft to soft and I should have done more firmness research before purchasing. Thanks for letting us try it out!

Before getting the Purple my wife and I had a 12 year old Serta. I'd get occasional hip pain in bed maybe once or twice a week, and since it was so old we got a new mattress (queen size purple) with the purple brand stretchy sheets. We've had the mattress for over a month now. The first week on it was great, but since then I wake up with a very stiff lower back and pain along the side of my back (even when using the purple brand sheets and also with standard sheets). The pain goes away almost immediately once I stand up and take a few steps, but it's very uncomfortable while I'm in bed. I'm a side sleeper and it almost feels like my hips sink so much lower than my shoulders that my lower spine curves downwards and I'm laying on a decline or something. I weigh 160 pounds for what that's worth. I also tried sleeping with a pillow between my legs and that doesn't help. On the other hand, my wife loves it and has no pain, so we're keeping it, and I'm just hoping I'll get used to it, but after so many weeks it doesn't seem like I will. So, 50% stars for 50% satisfaction seems appropriate.

I was pretty skeptical about purchasing another expensive bed because I've been sleeping on a pretty expensive memory foam bed & over time the mattress has failed me. The pain in my lower back forced me to invest in another bed. So, I decided to buy the purple bed. The platform base is better than I expected because the purple bed is so heavy, having a box spring would have eventually made the wood frame bend causing me to sink once again. The metal platform base is so strong that I will never experience back pain again. This bed is so comfortable & I can honestly say that I've never felt so much support for my lower back in my life. I strongly advise anyone suffering from lower back issues to invest in a purple mattress. You won't be disappointed..! My word is bond & I absolutely never vouch for anything unless I'm 100% certain of its preformance..! The purple bed has allowed me to get the proper rest that I need so that I can focus on providing for my family, instead of worrying about if I'm gonna make it through a normal work week because of the pain that I've been experiencing in my lower back. To the team & scientists over at purple, I would like to sincerely thank you for constructing the best bed that I've ever owned..!

After spending 3 years on a pillow top queen sharing it with my wife and 3 dogs (2 boxers and a Golden Retriever) waking up just inches from falling of the bed. I started researching king mattresses and I kept researching unwilling to pull the trigger on any specific one. Age is slowly catching up to me and one particular morning i had a set of paws pushing me along with a soreness i had never felt before. "Fire in the hole" I ordered our Purple Mattress. Two weeks in and I am not so sore any more and my dogs have plenty of room. I went with purple for one reason only! the "Purple mattress cover" commercial! With three dogs how could I not buy one. I have only one regret! I should have ordered the new Purple mattress.

If I had a choice to come home to a man or a bed, I'd choose this bed. I fall asleep in the next 20 mins everytime I lay down to rest. I haven't gotten a pillow yet cuz I'm super picky with my million diff size but I highly recommend this bed! I love it so much I wld marry it❤️❤️❤️

I don't know that it has been life changing, but I do know that I don't want to get out of this bed. It provides surprisingly great support, while still perfectly pliable. My body took a little while getting used to the mattress -- as I'd spent my whole life on mattresses that didn't quite support my curvy body correctly -- but it has been well worth the adjustment time! I definitely feel like it provides support and softness where I need it, so my spine is in better alignment. Unlike tempur- beds, the gel-like top layer of the Purple mattress bounces back immediately after relieving pressure, which means there are no sink-holes created when you want to roll over. Plus, I toss and turn a lot less than I used to because I am actually comfortable all night! ...although I will say, the bounce is also nice when you want to be more "active" in bed ;) I had been shopping for a new mattress for a while when I came across Purple. After doing a lot of research, I really appreciated the candid advertisement, scientifically-backed materials, and thoughtful construct. The sticker shock on other mattresses that may have worked for me kept me from buying a new mattress earlier (one was nearly $4500... quite a bit out of my price rang

This is a great mattress. There's no shortage of explanations as to why and how. It will take some nights to get used to, and after that you will never want to do anything else. Also, you will never stop playing with the little hyperelastic toy that comes with all the mattresses. That said, I can't avoid the hilarious question: I ordered a twin. Why did I receive two sleep masks with it? I ended up giving one away. Kind of hilarious.

I absolutely love the purple mattress. Previously, my husband and I had a Tempur-pedic mattress and they are great, but they are so expensive. I feel like The Purple Mattress is just as superior at a fraction of the cost. I will definitely buy another one for the other rooms in my home and recommend this to friends and family.

We ordered a purple queen size mattress to replace a pillow top mattress and have been really happy with our decision. The Purple mattress gives where you need it to, without the feeling that you are sinking into the bed. Both of our back pain decreased with 2 weeks of getting our new mattress!

We bought the Purple mattress with included mattress cover based on the many positive reviews. We purchased the purple mattress 4/16 and it's now 6/21. We wanted to make sure we gave the mattress a fair chance and it has not met our expectations. To start off, my wife and I were sore for about 2 weeks but we've adjusted since then. The Mattress is way firmer than expected. I'm a combination sleeper and my wife is a side sleeper. We both have noticed that we wake up several times throughout the night with our arms asleep from the circulation being cut off by the mattress. We read several reviews about the mattress sleeping cooler and this is not the case for us. My wife and I wake up completely drenched with sweat because the material does not breath. We wanted this mattress to live up to our expectations so badly but we are extremely disappointed.
