We are still trying to decide if we want to keep this mattress, it is comfortable, especially on your back, but when I roll over, or sit on the edge, the depth isn't great, I can feel the platform frame underneath me. It would be perfect if it was 2-4 thicker...

I simply love the concept of the Purple Mattress! I love that it's made in the USA - that being said, I bought it because all of the reviews I read said how wonderful they felt after sleeping one one and I was miserable with the bed I had - I had been through 2 new mattresses in 2 years - talk about a lot of wasted money! In comes the Purple and well, while it does take a bit to get used too, it is more comfortable than my old mattress I still wake up with sore shoulders and hips. It kinda bummed me out to be honest... that and the bed feels smaller than my old king... by several inches. I had an eastern king and my limbs didn't hang off but on this one I do. I'm only 5' 4" and I don't feel like I can stretch. I also purchased the box spring - platform piece so I cannot compare to my old old for reference. On a plus side I don't feel as warm when I sleep nor does it feel cold on chilly nights.

We originally bought a Serta Observer mattress and returned it twice for caving in after a week. An inch on my husband's side and half an inch on my side. It was miserable. I did a little research and found the purple had excellent reviews so we went for it. So glad we did because we are absolutely in love with this mattress :)

I used to wake up all the time with neck pains and back pains but now I wake up every morning refreshed and ready to start the day. Also, I used to wake my fiance up every time I moved (I'm a bit of a wild sleeper) or left the bed. Now, he doesn't even realize I left for work some days! The only reason that I am giving four stars and not five is because of delivery. I was given an expectation of 1-3 days for shipping but it ended up being more like 7-10 business days, which left me without a mattress/bed for about 2 weeks. It was a huge inconvenience but the bed has made up for it.

My previous bed was a memory foam mattress. I struggled to sleep in it and often found myself moving to the couch at night. Seriously, I look forward to going to my purple mattress. The pillows are 2nd to none. Cool and extremely comfortable. Loving it.

I'm a fairly large (230 lbs, 6') side sleeper and I've often found myself getting hot at night. My wife and I had a pretty nice king mattress that was coils and medium firmness. We slept on it for 8 years and it was pretty nice. But it became misshapen, shrunken, and a little lumpy. When I started looking for a new one I was thinking memory foam to help with my pressure points (shoulders and hips). I decided to spend a little extra for something that promised to sleep cool as well. Purple was the only mattress that people consistently noted as sleeping cool. The squishy grid not only provides that cool but also helps with those pressure points and adds a little bounce to the bed. I've slept on pure memory foam and it is more work to move for shifting positions and getting up out of bed. The squishy grid's bounce helps with that as well. We've slept on this Purple (the original) mattress for about a month now and it is excellent. We didn't need an adjustment period, but that may be because our previous bed was a similar firmness. The Purple is definitely easier on my joints though. So even on night 1 I slept better than I had in a long time. I can't speak much to longevity, but I'm optimistic the build quality will get us a reasonable amount of years sleeping very comfortably.

Bed is fine. That's it. Sheets are stretchy and never stay with you. Really annoying. Mattress protector works but makes the bottom sheet drag with your body then snap back into place. Annoying. Bed frame is quiet. Pillows are awful. Wrong height. Tell you to put a towel/another pillow under your pillow. Seriously? Seat cushion is definitely a waste. Great until you sit on the edge. Look at your car seat or office chair. Notice how your seat cushion doesn't look anything like those? Nothing ships at the same time, so you'll sit there with pieces you can't use for a week at a time. Don't care about customer experience at all. Customer service personalized their service only to tell you that "we told you everything ships separately". They seem to be better when you call, but overall, this company understand things in pieces but not the whole. Like great individual products that work together poorly. Or great ads but poor customer service. Perhaps some day they will organize and evolve. Most companies don't. And for now, that's why I'll buy something else.

We just used our warranty to upgrade to the newer version of the original purple mattress. It is even comfier than the first one! My husband and I are average weight people and the hyperelastic polymer really cradles all our pressure points. I sleep so comfortably that I don't even want to get out of bed.

I slept on the twin purple for eight years. My own personal opinion is that for anyone considering this product that you should buy it. If you are considering a TempurPedic mattress, don't.You will leech petroleum products into your body from the material. As a fellow consumer I wish I could convince you with words how much you will love this mattress. It will be the best money you ever spent. I suggest you buy two of them. Put one in storage 7 to 10 years from now use the second one. Purple is the only mattress that anyone in any condition needs to sleep on.

I have the original purple mattress for about 2 months. I have really enjoyed it. I am sleeping better. My lower back took a minute to get used to the mattress. But overall a good nights sleep. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new bed. I bought the mattress cover with my purchase. And it's loud when I do switch positions on the sheets, depending on my sheets with the fabric rubbing together. But I got used to it.
